The Sonoff NSPanel Pro 120 has just received a game-changing firmware update, version 3.7.0, and it’s all about making life easier for Home Assistant users. In this video, I dive into the new Web Shortcuts feature, which finally allows Home Assistant dashboards to be displayed directly on the NSPanel Pro 120. No more risky workarounds, no more voided warranties-this is the update we’ve been waiting for!
Previously, getting Home Assistant on the NSPanel Pro 120 required enabling developer mode, a risky process that voided the warranty and prevented further firmware updates. It also involved sideloading apps and executing ADB commands, making it a daunting task for many users. But now, with ...

Fantastic video a great help 👍
so how to upgrade to 9 drives? 9 stands for bays right?
Sorry mate but just launching in with out testing socket so bad, even if you think you switched off breakers, so never start disconnecting wires without testing to see there is no power at the socket, use a multimeter or as you have in your hand a screw driver with a live test. (not the best but better than no testing) You should show this in your video.
excellent mate - i'm trying to get a synology ds223j to work with the auto back up feature via a ASUS TUF AX4200 router and ive been having problems with the UPnP/port forwarding stuff.
For whatever reason, I keep getting "Guest Agent not running" after installing Home Assistant this way. The previous, more complicated installation works fine on the same machine with the same config. Any idea?
Same here. Problem was that I needed to install the qemu into the pxmx host on my system. There was a warning (when selecting qemu just before starting HA) that it needed to be done and I had ignored it. My fault. (Make sure the QEMU Guest Agent is installed in the VM). Solution was a simple cli install using the shell, activate and set to run at startup in pxmx. --- apt-get install qemu-guest-agent systemctl start qemu-guest-agent systemctl enable qemu-guest-agent
@jayjay6804 it is installed, but won't start due to lack of some unknown dependencies and configuration. Also, it doesn't look like Home Assistant is starting properly since I'm not getting ha command prompt, but rather a generic Linux CLI. Yet another instance of HA, installed through the script in the same Proxmox works just fine
Awesome video! It helped me so much!! Thank you!
Thank you much for this video. Truly helped!!
Thanks, very helpful video. Appreciate it. Is there a way to selectively backup folder from PV hard disk, instead of the entire drive? Thx
Are you able to swipe pages left and right? Like to another page on the dashboard via finger swipe
I had so many issues especially when i upgraded to 3.7.0 and that made me take control and go the ADB route, not had an issue since. Problems i had - auto rebooted itself and doesnt launch HA - loud ping on reboot usually at night! - web shortcut works really badly when you have lots of HA menu icons and swiping doesnt work well - web shortcut shows HA loading errors on some dasboard cards - web sites/pages now has an awful dropdown that hides the url so now it's 2 taps to use a HA menu
Do i have to swipe from right to left? Is it possible to tap to wake the screen and go to HA directly?
Hello. How to hide the top bar?
Just the regular kios mode, nothing more than that
When updating to firmware 3.7.0 can you still use the unsave version easily?
What?
@@TechMeOut5 I think he means to ask if it's still possible to use the old method to get Home Assistant running.
Shelly wall panel x2 looks nice as well.... released last week I think :)
nice video ... using virtual machine does not highlight the biggest challenge. Getting the PC to recognize the USB media drive. After trying on 3 different machines (different age and make - BIOS works differently in each) got it to finally work. thank god! 1) make sure all external ports (especially other USB ports are not in use .. (I had mouse and keyboard added for the laptop) 2) had to reset the BIOS to factory/default settings to have BIOS give the option of the USB as a boot option 3) saw a video of a person moving the USB from one side of the PC to another port, did this too .. not clear this made a difference. Finally...not sure there is a fix for synology to do here ... other than awareness.
Remember watching your other video on the NSPanel Pro and I thought it was cool then, and this was the same! I REALLY need to check this thing out for my HA setup. Thanks, Avi!
Thanks for watching Frank! I have your new video in my playlist for tomorrow...i can't wait!
Nope
This video was super helpful. Just what I was look for as i got started on my HA journey. Integrated Protect. Wondering what else can be pulled into HA from Unfi?
Great video! Easy to understand and right to the point 👍👍 I'll be swapping my 4x8TB drives for 4x20TB drives and this is exactly what I was looking for
You can just go to the webinterface. You do not need the app on your mobile or your computer. You can find the ip of your camera in your Unifi console. Reolink's do not show up in protect automatically. I have several and different models. None of them showed up (no matter wat setting)
Ahhh light mode my eyes
Wonderful.
Thanks, this really helped me to figure out issue with Synology mounting point in ESXi. that secret was set allowed IP for my host, so this only was show stopper for about 2 hours until I get to this video. Thanks again!
You could have looked at the default rules (with Lock) first which are created automatically for Zones and then you would have figured that many of your additional rules have no further effect, just redundant... this might confuse some listeners as they don't understand why you do this!
היי אבי, שאלה קטנה. מאיפה אתה קונה מוצרי יוביקויטי בארץ?
Getic.com
This video is very bad and looks a lot like clickbate. ZemiSmart DOES NOT connect to Home Assistant! Please do not say so in your video. So yes nice device but NO software home automation in an easy way. Tuya App is considered to be very bad for users!
Excellent videos and easy to follow. Keep it up. I have a question though; if i would like to install the same smart relay which wire would go where considering that i have 3 sets of common, neutral and switch lives behind my light switch? (Its a two way light)
Has anyone figured out how to change the default rule between to zones? e.g.: VPN to Internal is "Allow All" and there is no option to change that default rule to "Block All". The only way to make that happen is to create an additional rule, which results in a quite comic Block and Allow rule in the overview. Unfornately it also bypasses the overview matrix: it doesn't show "Block all", it shows "See policies". For me, it makes the overview matrix somewhat useless.
Thank you. Well done!
Thanks for the great video. You actually use an example use-case scenario to make things easier to understand. One thing I've always had trouble understanding is the inter-vlan communications such as clients to printers, or client to say door bell camera. Your video not only showed me how to use the zones, but also helped me to solve this issue. Thank you!
Glas i was able to help
Thank you for your instruction video. I have one question. Is it correct, that you just connected the ZBMINIR2 to one neutral wire (propably the one from the source) and did not connect the other neutral wire (propably to the light)?
Hi, i have just bought a Unifi Express i want to use it as an access point but have no dream machine or anything like that. I do have a unifi network server on my pc. can i still use it as an access point that way?
Hi, how to add another volume of NAS? i want to add two volume of NAS, i just create two nas on PBS and proxmox but from volume number 2 (10TB) of NAS can't connect. the system still read all datastore from volume number 1 (4TB). Datastore name NAS-1(4TB) and NAS-2(10TB).. thank you
Been using this for a little over a week with the RC update and it's awesome! Great video, Avi! Loved seeing another point of view on it.
Thank you so much! I am glad that you are enjoying the new features and thanks for watching buddy
can you make a video about dns shield. i see nobody using it
Its great for basic secure DNS..i used to use it but now use NextDNS DNS provider so needs to be disabled. Only reason i use the provider is so i have more granular control over my traffic coming in.
Not using dark mode should be a crime 😂
Lock me up. I have never understood the fascination with dark mode. I think it depends on our eyes and how we deal with the contrast but my eyes like normal mode.
Welcome to the 20th century Ubiquiti with the ZoneBased firewalling! 🙂
It seems that this feature is not available on all UCG or UXG/UCK models. Are you aware of any specific limitations regarding this?
Certain devices have a different cadence. Im pretty sure that this will be available on all platforms and sooner than later it will become the new default
USG line will not get this update. So USG3p and USG Pro 4 for example.
Could you make a video explain how pihole or adguard work in unifi?
Hi. To be honest, I'm failing to understand the question. Adguard and pihole are applications that filter dns queries. What's the connection to unifi?
Glad Unifi has finally added this feature. Well delivered and easy to understand Avi.
Thanks for watching Tony! I hope you are doing well.
Hmm the rules you created for blocking traffic were completely unnecessary since the block all rule already take care of what you wanted to accomplish. On the other hand you created them as a demo on how to create rules without changing anything, that is what you did. It seems like the block all rule is automatically created when you create the zone.
Hi. The main focus was the rule creation and how to use the matrix to help administer them. That was the main goal.
It looks like the ability to turn rules on and off (for testing or temporarily changing a restriction) is missing. Can you confirm this? If missing, seems like an oversight on Ubiquiti's part.
It’s not missing, it is present in the zone based firewall
You can see the pause feature if you click manage and then tick the rule you want to alter state on
@@driver288 Great! Thank you.
@@marksamuels6293 Excellent. Thank you.
Great explanation. Thanks!
Great video. Can’t wait for this to be out of the beta phase. I don’t know about the USW issue, but ubiquiti is making some amazing moves as of the last year. I’m sure they’ll get this feature fixed for use with the USW.
Thanks for making the video - ZBF is awesome as long as all the VLANs are managed by the UDM. The moment you are using VLAN's routed by a Unifi L3 switch they are just thrown into the 'External' zone and there is no way to add them to a zone at all ...
This is a self-inflicted problem. If you're using UniFi L3 switches to route VLANs instead of the UDM, you're deliberately bypassing your security appliance. Of course those VLANs show up as "External" - from the UDM's perspective, that traffic isn't under its control anymore. Unless you can clearly articulate why you need L3 switching (with actual throughput numbers to back it up), you're likely overcomplicating your network and compromising your security posture for no real benefit. Let your gateway be a gateway and your switches be switches.
@@whiskerjones9662 Without going into all the details, simply a case of having a lot of 25Gb connected devices in my setup (30+). By having the UDM manage the VLAN routing vs my Aggregation Pro's, unless I put all 25Gb devices on the same VLAN, the inter vlan route will force all traffic up the 10Gb UDM pipe to be routed even between VLAN's on the same Agg pro, which would slam the UDM.
here in 2024 because i was stuck on the WAN/LAN. Thank you so much!!
Cheers mate

Fantastic tutorial, but without any error - all backups from VE go directly to PBS, not to NAS, so that 32GB get full quickly. Any advice where to find mistake?
Hi. If you saw the whole video...you would notice that i mapped an nfs folder to thr pbs virtual machine so that the backup data goes into the mapped folder that actually located on the synology nas...that is actually almost the whole point of this video
@@TechMeOut5 I tried to follow exactly the same, i wxpect problem in mapping drive, but have no clue where is mistake. sorry for bothering
as a properties of subfolders I see: /volume2/Backup/Backup/PBS
I mapped in PVE the PBS, but inside PBS I have probably wrong way mapped NAS subfolder, so nothing goes into NAS, but into the PBS. Can I contact You directly, if You agree?
@@TechMeOut5 i tried 8 times, no error, all backups work - but problem is that I keep space 32gigs only, nothing is store on NAS but on VM. I am frustrated - have no clue where is my mistake, sorry
