I left to Mexico City early June, the shopping center at Reforma 222 had amazing brands and shops! Mexico City didnt dissapoint, the teotihucan pyramids and xochimilco were the best part of my stay.
***** Dear friend. In Mexico for sure .You can find good Universities to study. There are many students here frome all over the workd.(from France.Italy.German.latinoameric.Etc.)You can ask for better informetion in the Mexican embassy in your Country.
***** .And you can find Out also about it in Google "Mexican Universities for foreing Students" You will be very happy heare. By the way .Where are you from brother.
Dude, you totally missed the perfect opportunity to tie Reforma to the UK at 2:18. That statue is by Leonora Carrington, likely the most famous/relevant British-Mexican there is! You definitely need to do a more thorough video on Paseo de la Reforma (I agree, it's very beautiful) and bring up this factoid.
You haven´t seen the beautiful parts of Mexico City until you have been farther south: San Angel, El Pedregal De San Angel. Reforma Lomas which is east Reforma. All the Lomas is where you´ll find the big homes. Also in the southern part of the city. When you get there you´ll meet a whole different class of people. You´ll finally see the other Mexico most tourists never see. Good luck.
Beautiful Stores and shops food court Viva Mexico TM Thanks was at Paseo de La Reforma but a few blocks away from there just last week awesome Love my city of Birth Ciudad de Mexico regards TM
great videos i only been there in mexico city 5 times but u make me feel so nostalgic. every time im over there i want to eat every thing i found on the streets , that huge city its really awesome!! i live in el paso tx. and i prefer to go overthere then las vegas. NV. or even NY city.
Buena vibra.
I have never gone to a Cielito café, but my boyfriend works for the company that owns it and every time we see one he says the name of the cafe (in this case I think it is Cielito Reforma). I miss Mexico so much. This is the place where you can buy tickets for the Turibus, which is very interesting.
I'm Mexican and your videos are awesome!!!!!! I really like it. Congratulations for your work (: I think you need to come to Xochimilco, it's on the South of Mexico City. There are many cultural activities and it's fun (: I live here, so if you desire a little tour I can give you haha. Once again, Congratulations!! (:
Those sculptures are from the British Artist, Leonora Carrington, who was the last surrealist artist who made Mexico city her home since she fled from Spain running aways from the nazis who were trying to kill her. She died in 2012.
Still loving your videos, it's nice to hear you like our city and yeah, it's almost same than in another places but we've our own thing to show (: Good luck!
Im really enjoying your videos! you have just got a new subscriber! I hope to see a video soon of Plaza Carso but specially one of the Soumaya museum. Hope you having a great time there mate!
unotrescinco Thanks a lot! Yes I will be going there and doing a vlog too. I have only been outside the Sounaya museum and definitely need to go inside.
Nice videos Paul, nice to see you appreciate Mexico, ive seen youve become quite fond of our tranquil little city, great to observe it again through the eyes of a foreigner. Reforma 222 is a nice little shopping mall, you should make a video in Santa Fe district, and its huge shopping mall (i'll dare to say its the biggest in the country) And all the business HQ's and Universities that sit there.
+Carlos E. Vallejo Pleasure! Really happy you are enjoying them. Yes I will film Santa Fe one day, though I actually really don't like it. My problem with it is that the land in between the big buildings is a mess and very ugly. Yes the skyscrapers/hotels/shoppiing areas are great and I like that stuff, but it sits in a really ugly area. It's like the large areas of land seperating the different areas of Santa Fe had the natural vegetation ripped down and now it's been flattened and not looked after. And of course there is zero street culture because the area is so spread out (like areas in places like Texas) and people just get around in cars.
+True Mexico Completly agreed, Sta. Fe is a mexican reinterpretation of Houston. Movement between joints only by cars, minimal public space whatsoever. But Sta Fe is to Mexico City what La Défense is to Paris. At least on paper. HAHA
Hi, we are fellow Brits and we'll be in Mexico city in August, I lived here for a while some years ago and I'm really looking forward to coming back and bringing my partner and son who will be experiencing Mexico for the first time.We have been watching lots of your vids and really enjoying them, very informative. Just a quick question, is this mall near to Insurgence? hope so as we will be staying very near to the Insurgence tube stop.
Sorry to tell you but this mall was build by Grupo Danhos the Daniel Family not Carlos Slim, they own other big malls like Plaza Toreo,Plaza Duraznos, and other important buildings in Mexico City
Good stuff! Rafa has not retired though. He was playing in Leon but is now in the Italian first division with Hellas Verona FC. He'll probably be at Copa America for Mexico this summer as well. Cheers.
Tomás Salinas Hey man, thanks for telling me about that! I don't follow Mexican football that closely but nothing beats a big Mexico game...looking forward to Copa America in Chile. Although I heard Mexico is a guest (with Jamaica) and are not expected to actually go and try their best & upset their 'hosts'. What do Mexican people think of Copa America? Is it important for them?! I know you are in the US but am curious :)
True Mexico There are plenty of fans that see it as super prestigious and believe we should send the best squad, but since this summer Piojo & FMF are focusing on getting to the Confederations Cup we need to win the Gold Cup, which of course is a lesser cup since it only has CONCACAF teams. Mexico will have 2 teams with the "A" team at the Gold Cup and an A- team or B team at Copa America. Since there is the scheduling conflict I'm okay with having the A team at the Gold Cup. We need to reassert our dominance in the region and win the Gold Cup while putting the yanks back in their proper place. I wouldn't sleep on our Copa America team though either. It seems there will be a mixed bag for that squad with some of those players very worthy of being on the "A" team. Saludos!
Tomás Salinas I agree about winning the Gold Cup...Mexico clearly should dominate but the US recently is becoming an equal, which is crazy. Costa Rica are also a good team...Mexico really has to do well.
Hi amigo, congrats for your channel. That "kind of monster" is an esculpture by Leonora Carrington, one of the greatest surrealistic artist! She was really a genious, born in England, and arrived in México at the 40's,she lived here until her death,in 2011. The mexicans love us her creations. Saludos. :-)
Ah yes, I keep meaning to try :D I rarely go there these days as I always seem to have Internet problems no matter what shop. But I will return for orchata!
+Anonimato Vato Yeah it's weird there is no taco inn in the US, elsewhere. I also think people around the world would appreciate these genuine style tacos!
I love Reforma 222 but you have to go at the Santa Fe Mall or at the Plaza Carzo Mall please o xocjimilco there are a lot of places to visit in Mexico City
Reminds me of Somerset Mall in Troy, MI , and the Galleria in Dallas TX. Very upscale. Very expensive. Yeah, I’ve shopped in Someset, but Kohl’s or Amazon is more where I go though. The high end places are fun to wander about. I rather like wandering through the mercados. More exciting!
Arrachera House sells steaks, but not only in tacos, they seel entire steks for eating with knife and fork, and yes, it's national. The combo you was looking at in Taco Inn lncludes the cola, and some pastor tacos, fron 4 to 50 (obiously with the corresponding price range) Saludos de un coyoacanense.
If you want to visit some other cities, so go to Guadalajara (also beautiful) and San Miguel de Allende, or Guanajuato. They have got this spanish colonial style.
hahaha there are medical centres and dentists in australia as well !!! wow looks like it's an actual aussie shopping centre !! im going to mexico on dicembre ! do you know any cheap accomodation to stay??? is it safe for a girl ??
Hey dude I really appreciate your videos, to be honest to many people are racist with us the Mexicans but you are not that kind of person dude have a good day thank you
Nice video, but I'm not sure about if this building belongs to Slim, it belongs to grupo danhos (perhaps Slim owns this too, and i didn't know hahaha) because of what I know, all his offices are located in Polanco,"Plaza carso"... There is an ambitious project, a 300 meters-up tower in, Mariano Escobedo, polanco, where slim is involved. at the minute 7:40 you said "there Zara in Mexico" hahaha... you should make a tour at Avenida Masaryk, Antara, Plaza Carso, or Santa Fe..
when you give an information show your education try alweys to be polite I don't find the reazon of your hahaha.Enjoy the video and leave your hard feelings out.
+Jorge Aguilriv What are you talking about? I wasn't trying to be rude. Don't even take my comments to heart. The first, I was actually laughing at me, because I am not even sure about it, and it was surprising. Slim owns some buildings in NYC, so it wouldn't surprise me if this buildings belongs to him. Second was also surprising, because not to many people knows that Mexico, is also home of some of the most exclusive stores. Most of the people, when they think about Mexico, they think about a Sombrero and a cactus. LOL.. Again my intention was not to make fun of someone, but if my comment offended you.. Sorry... Greetings... :)
True Mexico I'm from Manila and we have been eating in Italianni's since the early 90s. The food is better compared to before. Actually I'm heading to Mexico early October. My wife works for Coca Cola FEMSA and will be attending a risk management seminar in Toluca. And since Toluca is right beside Mexico City, I decided to accompany her and spend the day on the latter. This is my first time travelling to Mexico and I'm looking forward to the trip. This is the Mexico that I want to see and not those border towns right across California or Texas. And it is why I suscribed to your page!
True Mexico BTW, medical and dental clinics are also present in Philippine malls! I'm going to check out this place once I'm in Mexico City plus that taco place that you posted. The Taco Suadero.
Me dan vergüenza.
so much expensive to shop there......yet, for most it's the experience of just being there in the mall! most can't afford even to walk inside...without being questioned by security!
I film and speak at the same time. To keep things super simple and quick I film on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and use a video editing app on my phone to edit.
I have been using KineMaster for my Galaxy S4 and works great. Though I do pay like 40 Mex pesos a month for it. I think it's great because it makes editing so easy...and when on the metro..in bed..you can do it. And it really is a great app and easy to upload etc. For my latest video though I used Windows Movie Maker and will probably use that from now on as I want to learn more about editing...and eventually get onto a better program like Adobe.
Sort of disagree with you about the music shop, you still see the virgin megastores on Oxford St or Champs Elysee I guess, and the HMV shops even in HK. I suppose there must be people who havent upgraded to streaming services. Have you seen if you can also buy music per track? On a side note, I think the shop is also part of Slim's group? maybe someone can help...
+The Boss Yeah Mixup is slim. I think people have said that these places are still open as sell tshirts, concert tickets, games etc where as years ago it was all about the CDs.
In fact that "Monsters" sculpture in reforma were made by a british artist that lived and died in Mexico Leonora Carrington
I left to Mexico City early June, the shopping center at Reforma 222 had amazing brands and shops! Mexico City didnt dissapoint, the teotihucan pyramids and xochimilco were the best part of my stay.

+Pica Repica A few people have told me that! It's cool with the UK-Mexican connection.
When u go to a Cielito Querido Café, u have to ask for an "orchata" beverage. For me that's the best thing they sell.

Great video, you should go to 'Plaza Antara' as well.. it's similar but much bigger.
AgiIeBeast Happy you enjoyed it. I will check out Plaza Antara too!
C&A is huge in Brazil. A lot of Brazilians might think it's a Brazilian department store, because it's where the lower middle classes buy clothes.

Italianni's is actually a Philippine owned restaurant chain serving Italian food! It is surprising that they have it in Mexico!

video was from 2015. even in Oregon it is difficult to find a phone. most people now of days only have cellphones
Take me there
Do you record using google glass? or why don't i see people´s face shoked when ever you passed by them
I record with a mobile phone. I think many people assume I am filming myself and not in front of me.
Don't let Hollywood see this, they will make their own version... No very convenient.
You should go to guadalajara jalisco mexico also. :)
I have been before, hopefully I will make a video there one day.
Have you been to the Museum of Lucha Libre in Mexico City? If some of you don't know what Lucha Libre is, it's basically Mexican Pro Wrestling.
Not yet, but I want to fo there and of course see a fight. One day I'll make a video about it for sure :)
YAYYYYYYYYYYY !!!! CAN T WAIT TO SEE THAT GREAT JOB .... GREETINGS FROM LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA.:)
Me dan vergüenza.
so much expensive to shop there......yet, for most it's the experience of just being there in the mall! most can't afford even to walk inside...without being questioned by security!
When you make these videos do you film first and make a voiceover or are you talking whilst you film?
I film and speak at the same time. To keep things super simple and quick I film on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and use a video editing app on my phone to edit.
True Mexico what app do you use to edit videos? I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I want to do it.
True Mexico Thank you. I think your videos are good, I like your editing on them, keep on doing it :)
Cheers man, appreciate it. If you have any questions about KineMaster let me know.
How long are you staying in Mexico?
For now I have no plan to leave. I spend my time in the UK & Mexico, but mostly in Mexico!! Thank you for watching the video Gaby!
True Mexico Stay forever... but learn Spanish asap
FireNeptune98 ... really? ¬¬
FireNeptune98 how can you like someone from a pic? you sound like a pervert.
yo siempre voy a reforma 222 solo para comprar CDs! :D
I think people have said that these places are still open as sell tshirts, concert tickets, games etc where as years ago it was all about the CDs.
a like well deserved... lol
deberías ir a lomas verdes en naucalpan
Here in New York, I've seen a post office and clinic in the shopping mall. Very odd.
so are you from England?
+Ricardo Moreno Indeed I am, Manchester.
+True Mexico how did you end up in Mexico
+Ricardo Moreno My woman is from DF. that is pretty much why :)
+True Mexico and did you speak Spanish
+True Mexico you live here then?
"Oveaaa heaaa" que loco acento tiene este bato.
Es por qué es británico jajaja, me encanta ese acento!
+Marissa Ivette BF sii ee, mejor q la de los gringos
Mil veces mejor el acento original britanico que el acento comun estadunidense :-) !
2019 update, the mall still has most of the same stores you show here including the CD store.
Aéropostale is closing tho :(
Oswald The Lucky Rabbit really?! I wanted to go :'(
