White Lab Workshop wow that’s great and thanks for the support as always. Yeah didn’t want to spend time and effort on a chair that was bought at resale for a few $...lol Loved your last project on your great channel by the way.
Omg, gluing up first THEN putting in the dowel..... brilliant! I've been making myself crazy wondering how to properly drill the broken dowel out of my broken chair leg and drill a compatible dowel hole on the other piece of the broken leg and get them to match. THANK YOU!!
merhaba dostum. Gerçek bir ustasın. Güzel bir tamir oldu. Dübel atarak çok sağlam iş yaptın. Sandalye seni gördüğüne çok memnun olmuştur. Yoksa kırık ayakla bir köşede kalacaktı. Bende yeni bir sehpa tamiri yaptım. Ayakları kırıktı. Hemen aklıma sehpa geldi. Oda artık dört ayağı üstünde durabiliyor.
Thank you Engin mate, yes its nice to repair then let it go to the dump yard. I love how we can chat and be connected being in two different countries. Love your work and can't wait to see your next project.
Thanks! It's an old chair bought at a resale store for $10. Hence a quick fix, else the fix would cost more than the chair...lol Thanks for the support, appreciate it.
Thanks so much that’s really appreciated and glad to know it helped. Idea was for an easy and quick fix. The chair leg is still holding strong on my chair
Just bought some beautiful dining chairs and one of them fell out of my trunk as I was loading them in due to the street being on a slope and my disappointment after some curse words… I am excited to fix my chair up with your help from this video, the materials are so inexpensive (thank goodness I already have a drill with attachments)
Fantastic job❤ I have an old but super stylish chair with the same problem on the back leg. Guess what?. "Repaired with 2 nails?!!!😅So your vid gives me prompt instructions hpe yp save this awesome piece og furniture. Bought for 12 bucks at charity place but eill look rxpensive when I'm done. Hello my friend. I like items of this kind design. A nice repair. You did a good refurbishment. Congratulations. The chair came back to life. Thank you for sharing. Warm hug. Yours truly...
He said in the video wood glue and saw dust. In the title of the video it says dowels. Sandpaper and clamps are shown all items available at your favorite Wal-Mart. Did you need him to hold your hand through this?
Thanks for watching and the comment. Any good quality wood glue will work, i always use Titebond wood glue you can buy at and big store like Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Any drill that matches your dowel size will work fine. You don’t want the dowel to be too tight or too loose. Test the fit on some scrap wood first. Hope n that helps

I think with a little bit more effort you could have made the two pieces fit together closer and better,, all and all you had the right ideal. It seemed that speed was your top priority rather than the quality of the work you were doing. Maybe next time try using a Dremel Tool with a carbide double cut rotary bit to clean out old glue so the two pieces fit together tightly. If the Dremel isnt available a knife will work. Best of luck in your next woodworking project.

Lol yeah wasn't about to take a running leap onto the chair. Although that would have been cool... Thanks as always for watching and commenting. It's very much appreciated.
Super fix mate and very enjoyable little vid. I'm beginning to think you might not be a native Texan though; those three lions are a bit of a giveaway;-) Cheers mate!
You should have replaced the entire section with a new piece of wood connecting them internally with a dowel and glue. That would have created a much stronger fix.
Actually the chair leg is still holding strong without issues after all this time. While it may seem a better way to do what you suggested it’s not really a DIY job, but yes there are better ways to fix this issue.
Selma Keeley Gorilla is a brand name and they make different types of glue. For example they do make wood glue as well as supper glue, 2 part epoxy...etc some of the gorilla glue they make expands so that would not be any good. Using wood glue is best option in cases like this no matter who makes it. Hope that helps...
Thanks for watching and the comment. It was a old chair so didn't want to spend too much time and effort on it. Please subscribe to my channel, would love to have you review more of my projects.
This video popped up in my feed, so I had to check it out! I like the use of dowels to give it a little more support. Gives it some character too!

Would drilling and placing a metal rod down the center of the chair leg guarantee more strength? The splintered part is about 4" long. Thank you.
Thanks...Great video! I needed this to learn the procedure to repair my chair back
Excellent hope it helped and that you can save the chair from landfill

I really like the dowels on there, adds character. I don't really know how you could fix that any other way short of building a new leg.
Thanks! It's an old chair bought at a resale store for $10. Hence a quick fix, else the fix would cost more than the chair...lol
Thanks for the support, appreciate it.
When you kicked it, for some reason I imagined the other legs snapping instead of the leg you fixed. Informative video!
Lol yeah that would not have been good. The glued leg is still holding great. Thanks for watching appreciate it.
