Thanks for the welcome! However, this was a temporary series as I'm checking out different games for this channel so at this time, I won't be continuing to play SW. I did get addicted to AFKJ though LOL
@@ChildishPlays Yeah i feel like with Watcher of Realms I should be able to keep up with it even with a bit more content as I progress. But a game like SW or Raid I could see not having much time for side games; I struggled when I played Raid to play others along side
I don't think 1 week is enough to tell if Summoners is good or bad. As a player for 10 years, it's a nice game. It has everything that Genshin doesn't and that's pvp. World Arena, World Arena Tag, Arena, Arena Interserver, Siege, Guild Battle and World Guild Battle. I don't think it's the best idea to start rightnow unless you have a pc with bluestacks and an event as overpowered as 150 days ago where you can reroll for 4 Light and Dark nat 5s.
@@suziplaysgacha you'll never run out of pve activities here! It's a never-ending hunt for the best runes, grind stones, enchanted gems and artifacts! Even us Superman players hasn't been able to beat the toughest pve area called light and dark coa towers where you have to clear 30 stages using lds only... Clearing coa 100/100 was a pain in the ass but cleared it anyway. It's a 1-time only content but super challenging. You also wanna team up with your guildies in labyrinth and monster sub. There's also a monthly tower event called toa normal and hard where you can pull an ld5 plus so many great rewards.
@@aBadWizard i've already said that rightnow isnt the best time to start again. Just play Genshin or Star Rail or whatever unless you have a pc and an event that you can abuse to start summoners with 4 ld5s and 2 ld4s on a level 1 account. With nephthys, lucifer, zerath and maximillian plus deborah, martina and iris on your side as a f2p, you would play the hell out of the game again, right?
As someone who has played Summoners War since 2018 I think you should give the game more time. For the most part your issues with monster leveling and level cap is explained in the quest later on or in different ones. I know there is a quest that helps you max level and awaken your Magic Knight. You joined during the JJK collab event which is very busy on the event side but usually there is 1 to 3 events active at a time and there isn't as much. Also your monsters that you don't like being on your island and just be put into your storage which gets them off the island. I would finish the first 2 levels of the summoners way before making a final decision for wither you like the game or not as that is the basic tutorial. But that just might be me being biased which I absolutely am. I do have 2 negatives to add, there isn't any pity system in the game which sucks, and trying to do pvp as a new play or even one that has played for some time is hard as people have years ahead of you and the grab in your rune quality is massive but if you don't care about pvp then its fine.
My intent was to not keep playing the game. I'm doing series checking out new games for a week. I didn't want to keep playing. Unless I was so addicted I couldn't close the game, kind of feeling. Which happened for the next game I played after this actually.
The game DOES have a pity system. It´s the ld5 pieces from daily quests. After 150 days you have a nat5 for sure. That´s what a pity system does pretty much.
Summoners War is the hardcore Gacha collector. It has never died because it is a genuinely hard game. Nobody likes easy games. Pity systems are for the weak. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE HARD! THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT WORTH DOING! Notice how old games like RuneScape don't die? Its because all the new modern games are easy as piss, you might as well read a book and feel more accomplished.
Bruh, did you just say LD5 pity system. You tripping more like a 150 days to dupe system lmfao. Game rewards consistent people on the grind everyday. STAY HARD OR STAY BROKE!
@@iamthejustin7420 Well, my bad. First of all, I meant to say "LS pieces", but this would also have been wrong. I obviously meant the "transcendence scroll". That´s why I wrote 150 days for a safe nat5. Of course I didn´t mean LD pieces for LD5, as they do not exist, and this is good the way it is. "Pity system is for the weak"... well, there is no replacement for some units as Leo or Tiana. They somehow can be "replaced", but way worse. And is it "hard" to get let´s say a Tiana? Or is it just luck / rng? And I wouldn´t say SW is an easy game, nor would I say it´s hard. It has lots of tutorials (which can be overwhelming to some people), but you get plenty information to start off with. And it´s pretty hard to master. I for myself haven´t achieved guardian in RTA. I only play high Guardian 1 in Siege and finish in Punisher on Arena Finish (can do Guardian 1 pretty sure, if I put in more effort).
Got recommended this video because I have been playing the game for 8 years. I never thought that it would be too much to do as a beginner player. Mostly because I have seen multiple content creator doing brand new account guide. But the difference that I never consider, is that they know what they are doing from experience. Also, for me, I started the game where it had less content. And throughout the ten years, I have noticed the changes and new things they added. So, I now understand for someone who brand new to the game, it can be overwhelming. The game doesn't really have a proper tutorial, instead you need to rely on RUclips vids and stream. The one I recommend for anyone that does decide to pick up this game, is the official Summoners War channel. Also, this game is very, very, very grinding and demands a lot of farming. This is main game I play, and I spent hours each day to do my events and daily. But the things is, the more you play and grind, you will eventually get rewarded with rarer characters or amazing runes/gears. But it is a commitment. On a side note, the game is a turn-based game, which might affect someone enjoyment if they are into that or not. Also, the animation or style, might look too cartoonish or out of style. But there is skins/transmog which can be unlock or buy with real money to give your character better appearance. I have spent a lot of money in the beginning of my first few years, but mostly were transmog pack which are the alternative skin. But now, I rarely buy them because some characters have many multiple options. I just need one for each character I use. I liked this video, because I am someone who been playing almost from the beginning, I can actually see how it is for someone to give it a try after 10 years of existing. So comparing it today to the beginning, it is overwhelming.
Yeah I played Raid Shadow Legends for years and it's the same thing. Back in 2019, there wasn't as much content but now so much it's crazy overwhelming for new players. I could see playing SW because I'm familiar with the genre, but also think it's too much guild & pvp stuff based on what others said, for my liking.
It might be a bit confusing at first, but I find it funny, when people complain, that a game has a lot of content. XD They are like: "Omg! ! for real have to play this! This game is longer than half an hour!" I actually only like games, that have a lot of content. The game has grown so much after years. Summoning is ruthless, but also the more special it is to get a nat 5. Runes are the real farm there. I just returned to the game after a long pause, caused by account issues and no time to play.
But a new player experience doesn't need to have so much unlocking in the first week. Focus should be building the basics and it's too distracting. Like me stopping campaign to try to see everything else going on
I am an older player, and also think it can be a little overwhelming in the beginning. Especially at the moment with Collab and Anniversary events at the same time. But like you said the community really helps lead players in the right way, like Childish from earlier!
Don't mind the one's that's trashing you. It's all good. Some are talking with their experience but this is more like a blind playthrough. I can also understand that's it's too many for a beginner. Hope you can come back and try again! Cheers!
Completing the challenges does teach you how to play. But yeah I’m sure after about 6 hours of play it’s so much content. But you breeze through so much so fast after getting it going. 9 years playing consistently. Thanks for giving it a shot. The best part is really runing and battling others combos
I seen people try sw with different account for better new player luck. Some learning experience of what spend on points and what to do and what not to do. :) Hope you enjoy this game is really intresting experience.
I've been playing since the day that it launched. When you become a high level player it does kind of get a little bit boring. Because you pretty much have done everything in the game.. right now I'm trying to get my first natural 5-star light and dark which I have never gotten in 10 years
Only thing that stops me from playing this game after trying it out like 3 times but couldn't get pass the first 2 hours is the GRAPHICS. Will give it a sureshot chance now and ignore the graphics. Game might be banging.
You can put your fodder and 4 and 5 stars in a buildings that you can build. You gotta farm dungeons and get runes this game is about runes. You should watch Sean b videos on beginner series or seiishizo vids
If I play this in the future, I'll definitely look out for Sean B; however that's not the plan for the moment. I got quite addicted to the game I played after this.
Nah, it still feels like way too much going on and overwhelming for a new player. It's just very busy and an eye sore on top of that. Summoning 1 nat5 wouldn't change that. If anything I'd still assume that's bad luck. Other games give many legendary within a short time, even within an hour or 2 of playing
Comments are grilling you down here, but dont pay them any mind. These guys are the same ppl that call the game trash or pretend to quit whenever com2us releases a "underwhelming" balance patch or "lame" event. As a active player since release. I can confidently say this game is amazing for casuals, lots of scrolls, cool units/collabs to collect, and convenient ways to engage in content. However.... Any player with desire to be competitive in their games should steer clear of SW

I think that's kind of the point. A first impressions can be 5 minutes in a game, saying NOPE and Uninstaller quickly. This game doesn't give a good first impression. However, I know it's a great, complex game with lots to do which is also positive. Doesn't make it less overwhelming newly coming into it though
Meh it's not just that; the thing is also my intent was NOT to keep playing anyway. This is a 1 week series trying new games. I'd have to instantly love something to keep playing anyway as I really don't have time for a big game like this unless it was my "main game"
Tbh as a person who does play summoners war I would say you kind of barely touched the game like where you are at I got there in 20 minutes so some things you said are right but then at the same time you havent done anything pvp, or pve so you cant really call this a review, its more like an ep 1 of starting the game
@@suziplaysgacha He’s actually right, you can get to where you were at in less than half an hour.
