Cool video, thanks. You just made me realize I need 2 cars 🤣 1 for Dunes 1 for trails. I was trying to use my dual sport for both. When I trail ride I dont need a 4 seater.
LOL! Glad I could help...I find you also don't need a turbo for the trails either, if you want to save a little money since turbo machines cost around 8K more.
How does the Lowrance do in a SXS without an antenna like the Point-1 Baja ? Far as I could tell you didn’t have one on your setup so wondering if you have any complaints or get by just fine.
@@etotheizzo9888 Great question! It works well in the desert but then you lose GPS signal when you go up in the forest. So I ended up buying an external antenna for it and that solved the problem up in the forest.
@@DougsX5 thanks for the insight. I really only ride in the open deserts like Stoddard Wells or Ocotillo Wells but then dune ride at Glamis and Dumont in my other car. Didn’t want to purchase another antenna if it wasn’t necessary when switching to my dune car from my other car.
@@etotheizzo9888 I actually do switch my antenna back and forth from the dune car to the side-by-side now because I did have a few issues out in the dunes when I mounted it inside the dash. When I had it mounted out of the dash it was no problem but in dash it becomes a problem.
Nice, I had not heard of them before. To invested in my HDS7 to switch. It doesn't appear they offer sd cards with there map upgrades, only apps and tablets.
@@DougsX5 yah kool! I wanted a gps that had many trails and the ability to use as a street gps as well! It’s really nice as it drops breadcrumbs and has the ability to track back!

@@DougsX5 sorry, anchor nuts that way you just screw in the screw and don't have to mess with regular nuts. Like riv-nut or floating nut plate if there's room.
@@DougsX5 I like that! My Magellan trx7 use to have satellite view but it was discontinued for proprietary reasons or something or they couldn’t agree on a new contract or something! Sucks!! It will still show topography at least!
The HDS7 you had shown is actually an image I have for showing my maps. Reach out, lets chat.

@@DougsX5 also good to know. I'm about to be a 2 car guy.👍
Very true really…….or one bad ass rig you can swap tires out and a good tune!!
The great thing about a GPS system is you know exactly where you are when you get lost 🤣🤣
You got that right 👍
@@DougsX5 Same holds true for a winch as they get you stuck in in-accessible areas..
@@SegoMan It's true, having all this equipment can make you overconfident getting you in places you shouldn't be...

What bracket is this
You can find the bracket here - www.larsenmotorsports.com/wildcat-xx-7-gps-bracket/
@@DougsX5 Thanks. I like the bracket but I cant tell if this would work for a Can Am Defender. might have to order one and take a chance on it
@@jasonb8858 It's mount holes are specific to a XX, however you maybe able to be creative and make it work.

Nice, have you thought about putting some kind of anchor on the sxs mount, would make it a little easier to install.
Not sure I understand what you mean?

Does that have satellite view??
Yes, you have to go to chart options, view, photo overlay and set it to full to get satellite imagery.
