Elshan got it going on. I have V1 of his True GMT (Miyota 9075) in a 300 M diver to boot. It has the subtle, meteorite dial….blue. Thanks for the review Shane. I don’t have a bronze watch……..this @ 38 mm is uber tempting!
I bought a bronze swordfish field when it dropped a couple years ago. Burnt Orange dial, and it looks fantastic on a nice leather strap. That's about the only thing keeping me from giving this run a second look. Saturation
Great selection. I like the teal / bronze and would throw on the gold bracelet. We need to recruit more watch lovers, so let your flag fly and don't be shy.
Excellent review Shane. The only negative for my taste is that oversized crown. Very interesting watch. I'm really like the softened hammered dials after getting the Islander Melville. I'm off to Zelos for a look see.
I just bought this watch thanks to your review, hoping it looks good on my 6.5” wrist. I’m usually not a fan of watches thicker than 11mm, so the 12mm + caseback scares me a bit. Also, what strap is featured at 2:45?
Hope you like it. The strap is one I found from a strap guy on etsy. www.etsy.com/listing/1287749179/togo-calf-watch-strap-gold-watch-strap little more pricey, but really nice.
I had the original Aurora in 38 size. 42 was too big of a dial for me but I really thought it should be available as a 40 so I sold it. Kind of the reason I got the Hamilton Khaki King at 40mm instead of the Khaki mechanical in e8 or 42.
@@RelativeTime hammered yellow, which, to be honest, I had to "settle" for as I missed the launch and there were not many dial options remaining by the time I bought it. But I absolutely do love it - it's very unique and I have no regrets about it at all.
@@Mystery_Man84 What makes it better, is it the lume, is it the bracelet, is it the case finishing, is it the bracelet, or is it the movement. Sorry, I can't think of a single aspect that makes Zelos better. I recently bought the SN0144 with a miyota 9015 movement, and I can't think of a single aspect of the Zelos equivalent that makes it a better watch
That all bronze look with that deep rich blue is a striking combination, giving a kind of technical vintage impression. The dial tecture, markers, yellow box tipped seconds hand, numeral font, and oddly oversized crown are not at all vintage, so I'm really reacting to the bronze tones and the blue that makes me think about old fashioned dark blue glasswork. That aspect makes it enjoyable to take the watch in, but this is simoky not a style of watch that suits me.
I talk about this somewhere in the video, but there are two different versions of the bracelet available. One with fitted end links one without. They just happened to send me the one with straight end links. Now the advantage of that one is that if you have another bronze watch, you can use it with it. As there aren't many bronze bracelets available.
Stunner. I’ve just never been into bronze watches. My OCD would have me polishing that thing once a week to keep the patina away (yes yes I know, that’s not the point of a bronze watch). Hey I never said I was smart. I just like watches. 😅
Thanks for the great review! I had to get it and did! When my wife comes by. . I'll blame you! Just kidding. .she rolls her eyes. I did pass on the bronze bracelet, that's a bit too blingy for me.
Whilst this is arguably better value, I prefer the Baltic Hermetique Bronze which has just come out. I bought the straight link bracelet, however, to use on my other bronze watch
I'm not normally a fan of Zelos designs, but that looks great.. .on the strap. The bracelet is too much. How did they do stainless inside and bronze out? Is it plated, I can't imagine it is steel and bronze bonded together 🤔. Great review.
Thanks, not sure how they did the bracelet. Maybe there's more info on the Facebook group. But the website says it's a layered construction. Whatever that means
very interestingly, I think it looks GREAT on the bronze strap, BUT , I wouldn't not wear it because it's too much FOR ME :) it seems this is an example of "great pictures", "but in real life... "
I've never done it so I can't tell you how, but I know a lot of people do clean. They're bronze watches. Make them look new just to start over with a patina. If you Google it I'm sure you'll find a bunch of techniques.

It looks good right up to where the end links on the bracelet doesn't meet the case. The huge gap with the bracelet is hideous. Much better on a strap or NATO.

A stainless 38mm version on a bracelet for $400 I would consider one. Unfortunately Zelos have become quite expensive over the last few years
