Cody Quistad helped write this. He is everywhere in the metal scene right now. He co-writes for a lot of different bands and artists and he writes everything for his own band (Wage War - he does rhythm guitar and clean vocals).

That first half is called Trap, he went Emeinem Rap God and Bezerk speed, Post-Hardcore in the whatever the heck that part is, Metalcore in the breakdown and Djent-Deathcore at end. This is freakin epic!!
Man if they would drop the punk section I’d probably bang this despite the over produced sound (for my taste). I love a lot of hardcore, but I’ve just never had a taste for non-hardcore punk.

@@reaverthebeaver man I wish I did. So much music I really like becomes borderline or unlistenable with punk elements (most often the vocals). Hard to find similar stuff that doesn’t include the pop punk vocals.

Ronnie Radke manipulated and sexually abused countless underage girls back in the mid-late 2000s. I can't support any of his music no matter how much of a 'turnaround' he claims to have made. He's a legitimately horrible person.

Never been a big fan of the mix of rap and metal, Ronnie manages to mix them in a proper blend, and I have nothing but respect for him. I still can't get into his rap cadence, it's too similar to what's out there. His composition skills are top tier, the climax at the end is super gnarly!!!
I mostly agree about his rap cadence, but I think he handled it pretty damn well on this one. Not really into the NF or Eminem styles, but his aggression plus the overall composition and instrumentation brought it all together.

What's the message in the 2nd half. It seems suicidish, negative, disrespectful. Can someone explain?
I think the key is the line about "break the chains" - he's saying don't let fear of criticism from other people hold you back, to achieve your dreams you have to believe in yourself and be unconcerned with others who put you down or spread doubt. Now that's a very positive message, but he's also combining it with what I think is basically venting/anger at having been treated poorly so it comes out mixed with rage. I believe this was meant as a sort of catharsis.

this is honestly one of Falling In Reverse's worst songs ever, also turns out Ronnie is a pretty bad dude, way too big of an ego and this song showcases just that. Was a fan until he started arguing with trans kids on tiktok.
