Design and production should be Class approved, load test to be executed when new or repaired. For the load test the ladder should be placed horizontally, according to ISO5488. A second test to be executed when the ladder is positioned in place, on the ship. The load test in the video is the second test, in fact the test of the hoisting installation.

Well, the load-test is a weight-based test. It may be water bags (as I showed you) or another weight based system:)

Nikhil, good question. The load test will depend on the SWL of the ladder, and an equivalent weight will be placed on each step of the ladder.
