Sara, love ya and CARRY ON with the adventure. You are the best , I am taking care of my mother for the remainder of her life and have her watching you're channel and it cheers her up at 92 years young and you give her joy with you're silliness and humor, God bless you for making her life richer in her later years.
Sara...If you don't get your shocks fixed for a while, I wouldn't care. You can entertain us by taking us along on your adventures that are on the paved roads near you and Vegas. Nevada would do well by hiring you to be an ambassador because there is no one else that is as knowledgeable and entertaining as you. Thanks for the trip!
Sandy here: Wonderful hike, thank you for taking me along as it is the only way I'll ever see it. Once again you proved that being out in nature is a "magic tonic" that chases away depression. Go ahead and climb the trees, enjoy life !! Stay safe and be well, Sandy. ❤❤
The North Loop Trail was my second home from 1982-1990. Many happy memories with my black lab Henry. He would pull me up the trail to Mummy Springs, and pull me down to the trail head
We use to fill our canteens with snowmelt creek water back in the day before filters. Loved backpacking the Sierras. At 72, too old and disabled to ever do it again. Thank you, Sarah! And yes, I could smell the scenery..
Thank you so much, when I was living in Las Vegas in 1968 and I was a little kid my dad took me up to Mt. Ch. And for Christmas he made it snow in my yard with 10 ins. Of snow, when it was almost gone we filled the pickup truck up and drove with us kids in the back.
I know I have made a sassy comment in the past...But I really thoroughly enjoy you and your content. You are just such smart human. I love learning such fun things from you. =)
Ah, I love your content and I totally admire how brave you are on all of your solo trips! You’re a freakin rockstar girl, thanks for sharing your world with us ❤
I started watching you a long time ago. My adult daughter is so much like you. She addicted to you now. She is almost finished with her geology degree. She will most likely relocate out west. South Carolina now. I grew up in Scottsdale and will travel out west soon. I miss the Milkyway. Oh I forgot. I love you. LOL
One of the worlds most fittest woman. Still climbing mountains with reasonable ease. Hi again Sarah. Watching all your quality videos here in far away NSW, Australia. Stay safe and healthy for us. We all loves ya. 💕
Thanks for taking us along with you to the Sky Islands. I remember that pine perfume well, it reminds me of Christmas. When I was a small boy my family would shop for a Christmas Tree, and the whole lot smelled of pine. Something about that smell just makes me happy. So now whenever I go to a place where the pine trees flourish I'm reminded of those magical days long past. >5k years? That's one old tree! And I thought that the the giant sequoia trees held that title.
Great video Sarah! That's some spectacular scenery! Those Bristlecone Pines are truly amazing! How could anything live that long, especially in that environment? Thanks for letting us tag along! Safe travels.
They grow very, very slowly in that environment, and can even shut down most of their limbs, leaving just a small spot of needles active, just enough to feed their minute growth.
Nevada used to have the oldest tree on earth until the forest service gave a forestry grad student from NC a permit to cut it down. It was another bristlecone that turned out to be 200 years older than the current California record holder. It was on Wheeler Peak, the number 2 most prominent mtn in Nevada behind Charleston.
Awesome amazing trees and all that you showed. Praise the Lord too! Beautiful area, thank you for the hike. Very crazy trees. Oh man, water springs. Love it. Your just the best 🙂
Many moons ago, my college geology classmates and I went on a field trip to the White Mountains out of Bridgeport, CA, and checked out the bristlecone trees there, including the oldest one known. We did some fossil hunting thereabouts as well. Such a wonderfully rich diversity of alpine flora among the dolomite crags. Hope your depression eases off. Take heart: you have more than a quarter million subscribers who wish you well and care enough about you to tune in every Wednesday and catch up with your latest wanderings. How many people can say that? Some of us are lucky to have one or two people in our lives who actually give a 💩whether we draw another breath. Be well, and stay safe!

A genius and a poet! This was beautifully shot! Paradise in the sky; Wonderhussy, your ecstatic bliss is positively palpable! Your story of the cocktailsauri victory reduced me to a fit of tears laughing! Not even waiting for your car's new shocks can stop you from ooozing brilliance - ya come out swinging with even more astonishing magic, REAL MAGIC!
Sarah, thanks for taking us up on this high mountain. If I had tried to climb up there I'd probably be found on the ground like a beached whale! Beautiful photos - cool place to be on a warm summer day!
5 yrs in Modoc and Shasta county up 4,000 in the mountains, trust me, for some of us, you do have a smell a vision. Some of the springs even make my mouth water because there was a natural snow melt spring that came up right on one place we only used a metal screen to filter any twigs or leaves. If everyone tasted that water, they would give up tap and bottled both. I took some in jugs back to Iowa to visit home and my nephews and niece drank my 2 week supply I brought in 3-4 days. They couldn't believe that was fresh right out the ground and tasted so good.
My mom and I are watching your adventures. Pretty cool thank you again thank you for being yourself brightens my day 60 year old Biker white boy just taking it easy 420

Unparalleled beauty and sweetest informative narrative. Covers the forest, hike, self and more. Wonderhussy, you have almost outdone yourself. :) Great production.
I visited the bristlecone pine forest further north on my way to Yosemite. So cool to see these super old trees. Some are 5000 yrs old. Imagine being way up there in winter when the high winds blow that give them that shape.
Beautiful, beautiful hike Sarah! One thing I loved about living in Vegas about 15 years ago, was exactly that! the nature that surrounds it! so many options for us outdoors lovers. And it's great to see you happy and smiling so much. Nature truly is the BEST therapy!
That is some great scenery, Sarah Jane. Thanks for taking us along. Looking at those B. C. pines makes me feel as if Mother Nature likes to piddle around with Bonsai trees.
This looks so beautiful! The oldest tree seems to have the illusion of a person resting slightly on its side by the roots. Events always leave traces like this in nature, it could be possible that someone laid to rest there once when the tree was young

I never knew Southern Nevada has these kinds of mountain ranges and a wealth of green trees all over the mountain. It feels like you're hiking in California.
All of Nevada is in the Basin and Range geological province, and the Spring Mountains here are one of the more notable ranges, just west of Vegas. I've been to them, but can't recall if I did the full hike to the top of Mt. Charleston. There's a lot of trails in the Springs.
