  • Pour Over coffee has been an obsession of mine for just over 3 years now.
I was first intrigued by Pour Over coffee when I discovered that it was an inexpensive way to make tasty coffee at home, after buying an AeroPress and learning as much as I could with that. I wanted to push myself to learn more about Pour Over coffee.
This rabbit hole of a hobby truely is never ending and it feels like almost every day I am learning something more. If I could tell my earlier self one thing about coffee it would be; 'Be ok in not knowing all the answers'.
I often found myself overwhelmed with the huge depth of knowledge that I didn't even start to learn, funnily enough I found that the most important thing when it comes to this hobby isn't so much about the brew method, the grind size or what grinder you use but how much you enjoy it.
Enjoy the process and how far you have come already.
Often I think we all need to forget about the 'technicalities' and bring it back to basics.

Share your obsession. Not living in Melbourne it's the only way I can get a delicious cup of flavourful coffee with satisfying aromas and mouthfeel. I love tracking down single origin lightly roasted beans from speciality roasters and experiencing coffee from different regions & countries around the globe. The morning ritual from manual bean grinding, weighing & measuring & watching the pour over & then savouring the result is a great way to start everyday - move aside yoga!
