Yes so the system can be filled with coolant again. Once you remove the thermostat you can flush the radiator with a water hose and let it come out the thermostat housing. After it's all Flushed open the radiator drain plug to remove the water. Close it, install the new thermostat and fill the system up with coolant, burp the system from air pockets and ur set! Good luck brother. Blue devil is a temporary fix, not permanent if it works depending the size of the damaged area. Good luck brother 🙏

you can add it to the reserve tank. If their isn't a cap on the radiator, that would be the only option. Add the thermostat after you ran the Blue devil then let it cool down. open up the thermostat housing install the thermostat then add more coolant and you should be good. hopefully this product helps. this is only a temporary solution tho. its not a permanent fix.
He said at the end of the video to keep some of the water that has the blue devil in it so it continues to work, to anyone else who reads this. So top it with concentrate that will dilute I suppose, and not 50/50 pre mixed

Ive seen good results with both. Its hard to say which one is better. The pour-n-go version is good because its stays in the system, so its constantly being used if it needs it on the headgasket. This larger bottle is more expensive and more work. You have to drain the system after your complete the process. If i had to choose i would use the big bottle, just cause you have to flush it out when ur done with it. Check engine on cold starts fo secondary air injection pump...a mechanic shop stated it was for headgasket issue. Did this and it fixed it 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ ... Worked for this truck. I really think it depends on the size of the damage on the headgasket.
So after you run it for 50mins you have to take off the old thermostat and let some drain out put the new one and then top off with antifreeze correct but how much to you drain out to put back antifreeze or doesn’t matter

You can drain it out, then add antifreeze or leave it install the new thermostat then top it off with coolant so what ever is left in the system, continues to aid the headgasket crack. This is only a temporarily solution to get you to a mechanic, its not a permanent fix.
All I did was replace the thermostat and left what ever was in the system alone. Installed the new thermostat and filled it back up so their is still traces of the blue devil and it will continues working 💪

Yes i disconnected the thermostat and ran the water house on top to drain the engine and radiator out. The hose connected to the thermostat goes back in to the radiator

I just tryed it out had 2007 fordf150 with rear freeze plug leaking I bout a bottle big one 63$ Canadian tire followed the instruction I removed thurmostate and filled it up and then followed instruction been 2 days no more leaking freeze plug

@jsage5 this is just a band aid affect....not permanent....it eventually has to come off....it needs to be repaired when possible, yes just a headgasket and head resurfacing will be needed, engine should be good as long as it's not abused

The thermostat should of been changed out. I would just make sure its not over heating...it could be that the radiator cap is bad and might need to be replaced as well. I would start with the cap first
And the Thermostat is out too? Maybe its the water pump thats bad? Or the head gasket is completely blown this is for small leaks and its not a guarantee it's going to fix the problem. I would check the water pump try replacing it and see if that fixes it. Its a process of elimination now

Don’t drain all your water just drain out overflow bowl and little more I had no problem filled it up 50 min later then cooled done no problems temp steady no leak then. Put back thurmastate and filled it back up antifreeze run till filled heater on. Assume no leaks

Yes,all the above. Car gets very hot at idle in bout 20mins & bubbles up through reservoir. Not trying it again but will take it to radiator shop & let dem do it for me for me next time

Maybe the crack on the headgasket is unrepairable. Are the fans kicking on? After adding the BlueDevil did you fill it back up with water so its full and no air pockets? Was the thermostat removed?
Just remove thermostat housing press the spring down and twist and out comes the thermostat or break it and replace the housing cause it comes with the new thermostat. Needs to be done in order for this to work. Yeah its a lot of work but more work if your replacing headsgaskets.
Sound like you need to seek a mechanic. It could be condensation but if it's alot some thing must be wrong. Do you have to keep adding coolant to the system? And issues with the motor hesitating?
It don’t drop a lot of water but when I’m parked with the A/C fan 1 it’s starts going more than half the temperature but the anti freeze still stays the same I don’t have to add more water when I start headings out and it goes back to regular temperature

@@erosbosandzeros3155 yeah that wouldn't be a problem unless you car detects if their is no thermostat then it will throw a check engine....most modern cars come sensors on the Thermostat now....it would just take longer to get to temperature in the winter time and in the summer time you can risk of over heating. What the Thermostat does is block of the flow so it gets a chance to cool down in the radiator, then it opens and repeats....you shouldn't have a problem but be advised, its there for a reason.

I’m getting coolant in my spark plug causing a misfire. Does that mean it’s too far gone and this won’t work?

Per guide lines in the bottle, it has to be removed. If you have the old one take the Thermostat off from that one...I also just made another video using blue devil and you do not have to remove the Thermostat

@@erosbosandzeros3155 yeah that wouldn't be a problem unless you car detects if their is no thermostat then it will throw a check engine....most modern cars come sensors on the Thermostat now....it would just take longer to get to temperature in the winter time and in the summer time you can risk of over heating. What the Thermostat does is block of the flow so it gets a chance to cool down in the radiator, then it opens and repeats....you shouldn't have a problem but be advised, its there for a reason.
