I absolutely love your show. I cannot think of ANY show that has a sit down with the creators of some of the most legendary comics and literally goes page by page re-examining it. Hearing their anecdotes and stories about what they were thinking or going through at the time. This show is an absolute treasure.
I am so addicted. ha ha!

    Nice! Keep 'em coming!
Now you've got me hoping for the inevitable Ed, Jim, Kevin and Peter Wizard issue Commentary episode that no one ever knew they wanted, but couldn't possibly live without! 🤫

I would love to see more of these videos all the way into the 40th anniversary, next year. I love the comment that the first 10 issues plus the miniseries are the core of TMNT. That really nails it. I also enjoy how Mr. Eastman is doing the bulk of the talking and then Mr. Laird just throws out bombshells. These guys are the best! Thank you Mr. Piskor and Mr. Rugg!

Jack was an amazing dude. I was very close to him, helped him out at his store more times than I can count. He literally had everything you could imagine. He had boxes and boxes of TMNT 1 up, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prints, and more. A LOT more. He was more than a hoarder- he was an obsessive collector that knew everything about everything. He could not resist buying things, more often than not just to help people out that were down on their luck. He had a military funeral after passing peacefully after work one day. His store was his life- all of his friends and social interactions were in that place. He never really cared about money- I guess he learned that life is not about being rich, but being happy.

That telescope voyeur was also interpreted as being Casey in the 1990 movie, as that’s the scene where Casey first observes Raph on the roof using binoculars.

Peter Laird shared some old notes on his blog years ago, and it was setting up Casey Jones.

Oh, shout out to Torrington, Connecticut and my mother threw mine away. Jack was an asshole.
One time I asked him a price of a wildcats toy that was on the wall and he just wouldn’t get up and get it off the wall. I literally had money in my hands and I was gonna buy it and he couldn’t be bothered.
