I'm sold. I'll take a TLX-S, and all 4 of those heritage models too.
Exciting time for the Acura brand!
Just the RSX for me 🤤
At one point you had one out of the three Type S lol
The Acura man himself
Lol
The RSX has a timeless design. Still looks pretty new today
I bought one in 2013 and my coworkers thought it was 2013 model
That's the thing bout them, barely no one ever heard bout it and seeing one rolling around is still breaking necks till this day
@@m1klo13 Haha that's funny! I work at Acura and about a year ago a salesman had a customer that came in looking for the "rsx coupe" lmao. He was like "uh, we don't make those anymore" and the customer was bummed out haha. It really is crazy
@@xaisman13 For sure! It's crazy how good they look especially modified. I definitely think it looks more aggressive than pretty much everything being made today. You can park one next to any modern sportscar (Supra, STi, M3, Camaro etc) and it still looks better IMO haha
@@wiltfongdc5 absolutely, i recently bought a 05 base with a jdm k24a swap just to get back in the chassis cause I just know the chassis more than any other platform. They're quick, light, agile, and handle well around corners, and look amazing.
"We didn't go buy some performance tuner and mold them to our way of thinking."
Well, shots fired at AMG!
Excuse the ignorance but who did AMG go get to help them? I thought it was a shot more so at Toyota nd the Supra
@@ty.exit140 AMG used to be a tuner until Mercedes bought them. I also wouldn't classify BMW as a tuner.

Hyundai as well😁
Look at all those delicious manual transmissions in Type S' past. Give us at least one option with three pedals acura! You make some of the best sticks out there!
My hope is that alteast the ILX's replacenment gets one. Even better if you don't have to spring for a Type S to get one.
WHAT?! No Acura CSX Type-S?! That also had a 6 speed manual transmission CMON
@@battosaijenkins946 Only because that was based off of the 8th gen Si 😬
@@battosaijenkins946 Us Canadians were lucky to get that car. Wasn't available in the states.
They dont offer it since people dont but it. Enthusiasts buy used cars, not new ones lmao
2007 Acura TL Type S owner here: Thank you for the Type S line 👍
I also have an 07 Type S, identical to the one in the video. I'm itching for a new Acura and so many car enthusiasts tell me to just keep mine. It's still in pretty good condition and the miles aren't that high. I was thinking of keeping it as a second car rather than trying to trade it in.
That RSX is gorgeous!
Agreed! Especially in that orange
Wish it had an LSD. The same gen si civic had one

My first car alright

My 2007 TL-S is my daily driver for 10 years! Thank you Acura!
My '01 CL Type-S is still going strong as my daily driver. Such an underrated beast. Just replaced the front struts today. Feels good to see it in its rightful place in the Type-S heritage.
I have the same car mine is silver I have aftermarket coilovers and an all new exhaust straight piped single exhaust setup. Just wish it was the 03 manual one.
@Nic Crattie I'm always on the lookout for that 6 speed transmission. I'm currently on my 3rd auto...
@@quikjfpv1665 Im on my second and I've had mine for like 3 years
What sites do you go on for parts? Mines a ‘03
@@Vo929 I think I got my struts from parts geek, but I get a bunch of parts from LKQ yards.
The Acura Legend needs to back in Acura showrooms as well.
Fully agree. I own an 02 Legend, rebadged as the 3.5RL, but closest thing to the original cult classic legend before the KB1 came around.
What Acura needs to do is make the Legend a BMW 7 series competitor. Finally offer a V8. As well as a type S variant of the Legend.
I’ve done what I can to turn my Vermont Green Pearl 02 Legend into a VIP cruiser, dumping tens of thousands into making it perfect, my 03 Silver Legend is the performance test bed for what the Legend could’ve been had they simply offered a Type S with a V8. Gonna be using the K48, (2 K24’s split open at the crank and turned into a V8).

Still have my ‘08 TL Type S. Many people would say 286 HP and 256 TQ isn’t a lot, over the years of owning it, I’ve discovered that the key to it’s true power lies in it’s manual mode/manual trans with the traction control off. That’s when the fun really starts. It really is a great car that lasts for ever.
People are horsepower obsessed, especially nowadays. Acura / Honda has never really about crazy power figures, but making the most use of the power available to make the driving experience fun and memorable. I think I'll live if my sedan doesn't have 600hp since I will never be able to use that much power anyway
I drive a CL type S 6spd. This is the best video I've gotten in my feed in five years. No one... NO ONE has ever made a video spotlighting my car unless it's just some kid that bought one. Good stuff, man. NOT EVEN DOUGHNUT AND THEY DO EVERYTHING
Did we just become best friends? lol
Used to have one till some guy crashed me. Loved it tho check my oldest vid lol
I had one and the idiot in me sold it in 2015, only had 88K miles. It was flawless.
I also have my 03 cl s-6 with the comptech supercharger, love that car
Me too!
That ‘02-‘03 3.2TL Type-S hits a real soft spot for me. I love mine so much, I’m at 5 years of ownership and counting. Best car I could’ve asked for.
They are awesome! I almost bought a Used CL 3.2 TypeS. Wish I did !
I own a 03 TL type s, things a beast
Going on 9 years with my used 02 Type-S. The ride. The shift selector. The smooth power delivery that will literally rip the doors off other bland sedans in passing. I absolutely STILL love turning the key in that thing!
First year owner with mine love this thing . Specially first & 2nd gear 🤩
@@yunqbukyunqbuk1186 The smooth and silky delivery of power is BEAST! I love interstate lane merges most!😆
I own a 2007 Acura TL Type-S in Diamond white and black interior! It currently has 49,000 miles on it and it was driven by a 79 year old grandpa! It is all stock with a couple factory accessories such as the painted mudguards, doors trims, interior trim, and TL floor mats. This car was way ahead of its time with the styling of the aggressive body and the amazing dash. It is super quick and comfortable making it a perfect daily driver!
I have had 4 RSX and god I love it more than anything in this world. My RSX brings me so much happiness. Please bring it back!!
The RSX-S and TL-S still beautiful car to this day. I got an 08 TSX and i still love it since i owned it.
I wish you guys still use names for cars, I miss the integra and legend.
My wife had a '92 Legend as her first car, very nice car. We've been buying Acura's ever since aside from the Solara we had for a few years. I quietly resented every TL I saw on the road the whole time we owned that Solara. We actually bought one of the Agaen Blue 2003 Type S's right before we got the Solara, turned out the transmission had gone on the Type S (big surprise on that gen lol) It was just out of the extended warranty also unfortunately. Now we are back in TL's though!
Actual names (except for the NSX) were still being used in Japan where the Acura brand didn't exist (the car models were obviously there, they were just branded as Hondas). Honda Integra = Acura RSX. Honda Legend = Acura RL. Where it use to get confusing was with the Accord & TSX; the American market Accord is called the Inspire in Japan, and what we called the TSX was referred to as an Accord outside the States. My guess as to why they are using the alphabet-soup naming strategy; distinguishes it from the Honda models (although Honda is doing it too with names like CR-V) and to sound like the competition from the Germans (to the consumers' ears).
Time for you to sell another Interga/RSX Type-S... That CTR motor is right there
Very excited to rip the TLX Type S on track 😍
but what if the infotainment can't voice-recognize "Yakub W"?
When are you guys getting your hands on it??????
You mean you can’t wait to rip it to shreds in your review. You guys hate Acura.
@@AFCompany they'll spend more time with a tape measure to critique the parking pawl than actually drive the car
@@AFCompany yeah not sure what they are talking about. Acura didn’t even give them the mdx to review... the tlx review made me unsub. The 600 hp cars they are getting made them brainwashed

All in good time. Can't wait for both new Type S to drop
I love how the thumbnail has a 2nd gen CL Type-S and a 2nd gen TL Type-S.
I've owned this and it is above all, my favorite car. I can imagine it built with ev. Wow. Positive weight on road, Positive direct steering. No health issues with allergiic glue, or leather, and plastics. Perfectly supporting body of driver and passerger.
Love everything I've ever owned from you guys. With that being said, you NEED to deliver to the compact market again, the type R civic isn't enough. We the original Integra type R owners wish only for the younger generation to experience the raw machinery you once mastered.
European 2012 Honda Accord Type S owner here! Not an Acura but still thanks all the people that were involved in making Type S one of the most enjoyable cars for a driver!
Have my 01 CL-S for almost 5 years now and don't regret it one bit! Good job Acura! 🙌🏽
05 Acura TL owner here for the last decade or so. Really love that car and I always have fun driving it. It is a beauty too, specially with the spoiler and the side lines.
02 TL-type S owner. Thought I wasn’t going to love the car. But honestly it’s amazing, couldn’t ask for more. Hope to be a owner of a tlx type s someday
Used to own a 2003 RSX S-type, which I bought new. Never once gave me any trouble. Sold it to a family member and she still drives it today. Still bulletproof. Once in a while random people ask her if she wants to sell it to them. Car people know. I currently own an Acura TSX V6 and love it.
I have 2003 CL Type S with 6 speed manual. I purchased it brand new and took delivery of it on September 30, 2002. I've had a lot of mechanical work done to it to keep it running properly and now have over 245,000 miles on the odometer. I had a new clutch and flywheel installed at the dealership and She feels brand new. I've only ever put premium fuel in Her tank as required.
She's been on long road trips between Houston, TX: Peru, IN; Chicago, IL; Youngstown, OH & Detroit, MI. Fun to drive and great handling OTR vehicle.
This vehicle was rare from the start: It was the last year of it's production, the only year they built it with a manual transmission and the only year it came in the color I ordered, of which is Anthracite.
I fell in love with the cls6. Currently have 2, have had 3 at one point and more over the years. The driving experience is unmatched for a car from 2003. 400k on the one I drive to work and it's still mint. The CT supercharged one is really something special.

I wish they had them in this video! They’re so rare. 💕
Thank y'all for the upload! I hope to work for Acura one day.
That TLX Type S is gorgeous! I will be buying one. I've owned 8 Acuras and 10 Hondas in my lifetime. This Type S is coming out at the perfect time for me to be acquiring one. I'll be ready to get one in about a year, which gives plenty of time for Acura to work out any first year bugs in the car. At the present time, I'm leaning towards the Modern Steel Metallic color but the Tiger Eye Pearl in this video looks sweet! Can't wait to start seeing the reviews online coming in the very near future. 04/24/21.
I told a fellow Ac fan that the Tiger Eye was hella nice IMO, too! He didn't like it with the red brake calipers. GTFOH is what I told him!
I got a 2006 Jade Green Metallic RSX Type S and I am absolutely in love with it! You guys definitely nailed it on the RSX and I am excited to see what TLX Type S can do!
Bringing the type-S into the MDX is truly thinking out of the box.
Wow, the more I see the Type S... the more I like it. Well done Acura. I haven't had an Acura since my Integra GS-R but that may change very soon
Proud 06 RSX type S owner. Maybe one day we get to see a return of an Acura coupe into the modern car market, until then I intend to keep my car and keep my eyes posted for the 11th gen Type R

I own an Acura RSX Type S 2003! In white! Still has around 96k miles! Everything stock except the wheels which I switched to some Enkeis and kept the og wheels! The most amazing car! I'm a girl and even though it's a 2003, people still turn their heads when they see the car!! Amazing at handling, performance and RELIABILITY! Love my car!❤️🇯🇵🙌🏼
This video made me so excited for this new Type S. I’m glad to see the guys at Honda/Acura are truly trying to bring the fun back into their brand. Acura for the most part became stale over the past few years but this video has silenced my doubts. Can’t wait to see the reviews on these things , and hopefully buy one in the future too :)
I also have an rsx-s in orange and love it very much. The one in this is absolute mint makes me want to get mine repainted.
My local Acura dealers have been selling a lot of these. It's easy to see why. The Type S is a brilliant car.
I had a base RSX and loved it! sold it and went with a type-s and never looked back. Still bone stock and still DAILY driven! puts a smile on my face every time and ppl STILL compliment the looks and performance. Acura definitely NAILED IT! please bring back the rsx / integra line and gives us a type s and the type r we have dreamed about for years!
I still have my 03 base. Love it. Would love a type s but ill hang on to my base. Eventually I'll just engine swap.

The Acura TL type S Mmm 🤤 the early and Mid 2000’s Acuras. Glad there coming back.

Great job, Acura. I remember seeing the Precision Concept at the L.A. Auto Show not too long ago and thinking where that would lead. In a few years y'all have really "righted the ship" imo. Hoping this Type S is a home run for owners and auto journos alike.

I love my 07 tl type s and 05 rsx type s because they were instant legends, everyone in the tuner world talked about them. the new type s models looks very promising but I'm not entirely sold. Acura has some making up to do for leaving us in that "lost identity" decade

There was a rumor that they might a few years ago but I haven't seen or heard anything since.
