Great overview, the capabilities of this pedal are simply stunning. Just had my first go with it yesterday with my analog synth and was blown away (so where my monitors lol). Also connected the ventris and the combination gave some mind-blowing results. The fun with this rabbit hole is just beginning.
Late to the party on ultrawave despite being an SA fanboy. Always enjoy and download your neuro presets. That octave foldback is incredible. Gives me dx7 vibes.
There are too many cool pedals. Can’t handle it. I’ll have to simply experience some vicariously through videos like this. Sidechain drive… all the filth… I am a sucker for those dynamically controlled effects!
@@DoNoise And here, I’ve recently been considering and trying out new-to-me drives, compressors, fuzzes, tremolos, EQs-“what if I told you one pedal covers ALL that, and more?!” 🤣
I've had my Source Audio Multiwave Distortion Pro since the HotHand was only wired(have one); it's been on my board ever since; probably close to 8+ years maybe, no other pedal lasted that long for me. UltraWave may soon replace it. Great demo of a great pedal! almost as long as I've been banned from TGP 😁
weeeell... Im another one you convinced. Source audio slowly but surely develops to my fav pedalbrand aswell, but this demonstration really was convincing. unbelievable complex and defined, moody sounds. With the Nemesis and the Ventris paired i guess i really dont need much else. Also looking forward to hooking that chain up to my sub37.
1. Thank you. 2. As mentioned several times, really amazing ideas/uses of this pedal and it's neural network presets (whaaaaat? where are all the Blues and chugga chugga metal riffs????) 3. I literally only heard of your channel the minute I clicked on the video and a 3rd of the way through was ready to hit subscribe 4. But then I got distracted and the video ended. With the beats. I'm a guitarist, I don't program beats (I find it daunting, actually) or even own a synth/keyboard than can play a beat. But the ending presets on the beats!!!!!! So. Good. And I remembered then to subscribe. See you in the future vids. Will look for you on instagram too.
Thank you so much! I like pedals with new ideas, lots of features and deep editing options so making presets and this video with the Ultrawave was so much fun. Nice to know others like the end result, too!
Yes, the thirst, the craving... Please guys, why not make the firmwares interchangeable, I already own C4, it has the same guts, why should I have to buy another box... ? (A desperate call, I know!)
@@ShaighJosephson Thanks for your reply! Do you know that for sure though? If you have some insider info that's cool. For all I know most manufacturers use the same microprocessors such as sharc dsp and some of their models differ only in firmware and paint job - Eventide, Empress, Strymon all have examples of that. Actually Source Audio too - Mercury Flanger, Gemini Chorus and Lunar Phaser for instance.
@@seansabu310 Ventris is on Swell mode in that part. If you want that exact sound you need a swell/slow gear type effect with a big reverb. You can also just use a volume pedal or the volume knob on your guitar to create the swell and then send it into reverb>Ultrawave.
Awesome!! Before I order one... Is the envelope follower only for rate of the LFO? Or can you assign it to everything? If so, can you assign it to multiple parameters or just one?
Thanks! You can control a lot with the envelope, even distortion type! Check out the Source Audio blog post (link in description) for a detailed walkthrough of the editor and the Morph feature.
Damn, this video is packed with great ideas! You always take our gear into unexpected directions. Bravo!!!
Thank you!
The Ultrawave is packed with great features so it’s effortlessly leading me into unexpected directions! :)

Blimey this one goes even deeper than i suspected 🤯
Was about to buy the OD-200...until I discovered what this bad boy can do... The compressor alone justifies the cost... SOLD !!! ☺️

That dual tremolo effect was really something special.
0:58 reminds me of the Sebadoh - not too amused riff, similar tone too

Ultrawave takes the dynamic control to next level. Its morphing is such a powerful tool.
@@DoNoise Almost waited a year (since this video posted) before finally ordering one.😅
@@chiefbucknell I’m sure you’ll love it

By far the best demo of this pedal IMO. Would you mind sharing the other gears used in this video?
Thanks!
Besides Ventris and Nemesis I’m using a Line 6 HX Stomp running two clean Fender amp models in stereo.
@@DoNoise Thanks for the reply. You sold me the pedal. Gonna get one later this year.

Renewable energy
@@ambilingua Can't cuz the pedals have different engines... Would have to be completely firmware/software based to do that...

Wow, great Tone for Black Metal
What exactly was going on in the "Clean blend" section? Loved that sound
That preset is similar to the Clear Distortion preset but with lower gain and lower mix. Ventris is in Swell mode set to full wet.
That oscillation you did with the ventris could that be done with a meteora or do I need to get a centris?
Which part are you asking about?
The part when you hooked the ultra wave up to the ventris ....sounds beautiful I want a ventris but I just ordered the spring cause of the tremelo

Is there a way to use the side chain in a band setting, like the rainger fx pulsar? So with a tap tempo?
It has USB MIDI so you can use a MIDI controller for tap tempo or MIDI clock.
