I own a ton o Faber Castell products. Their compass named "Stream" shocked me the most! I thought I was getting a kids compass... and that think is the highest quality, most precise compass I ever had... I also love the Graphite Aquarelle pencils for sketching, they became my all time favorite wooden pencil.
The level of jealousy I feel right now is incredible. This entire kit is an artists dream

@Deejay d What!? Polychromos are the second best colored pencils in the market for sure. The only better pencils are the Caran D’ache luminance. Prismacolors are a low quality, student grade flawed product at this point. Seriously. Polychromos are just the type of pencil that you can layer for 20 layers or more, because they are mostly oil based. After prismacolor went to hell in 2010, Faber Castell saved my love for colored pencils with their Polychromos, man. You just gotta know how to to use them.
Polychromos are not the second best, they are the best! A lot of artists say this.
Don't quote me on this, but as far as I remember FC matches all their colour product lines - the pencils (Polychromos and Albrecht Dürer) , pastels and Pitt ink pens - so each line has the same name and colour code for matching colours. It's quite useful if you already know which colours you like in one line!

I'm doing a college project on this brand right now. I can't tell you the level of excitement I would be feeling on receiving a box like this. Just absolutely amazing products that are truly made for artists of every age. I purchased a 60 count of the FC polychromos colored pencils and they are the best I have ever used. (I had only previously used Prismacolor). After reading the comments I can see I am not the only one drooling! :D
The Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils are the best I’ve used. I got a set years ago and have loved them ever since. Honestly, they blend into water like tubes of paint! I’m looking forward to watching you use these. How very exciting!

At first I was disappointed they didn't send you a Karl box. Then I realized that very few of us can afford to spend $2500 to buy one. It was much more practical for them to show us a variety of smaller sets that we can afford.
Yeah those Karl boxes are pretty cool for sure! It will be much easier to review these individually though. I could just see myself now trying to use every item in the Karl box for a single review. That would be like a 4 hour video LOL.

I'm so jealous! Faber-Castell is my absolute favorite art supplier, literally everything thing they sell is so high quality, even the pencil sharpeners. And you know what, pretty reasonably priced if you buy it online (not from your local craft store, unless you have a 50% off coupon)! Even though fairly priced for such high quality supplies, I still couldn't afford more than the 24 sets of polychromos and watercolor pencils, but these products are so multifaceted that simply altering how light or hard you press, or blending with other colors, makes for such an extensive color pallette. Anyone reading this that's concerned about the cost, get the 12 or 24 set, and try the different shading pressures and color blending available to you with just those few pencils, you won't be disappointed!

Woke up in so much pain and waiting for meds to work when I saw your video come up. Your video helped me rise above the pain, but made me sooo jealous! I have been wanting the Pitt pastel set for a year now. What a wonderful thing Faber Castell did for you. I use Faber's 9000 series for my graphite exclusively and believe me I have tried others but nothing matches the smoothness of the 9000. Thanks for helping me ride out the pain. Love ya much!

OMG How EXCITING! I was brought back to grade school when you showed the fat pencils! I want them! I bet they are especially amazing for hand fatigue relief or for someone suffering from arthritis.

I have the sharpener, kneedable erasers, the graphite aquarelle set with brush and the pencil style eraser that you showed in the Pitt set. And soon...,the watercolor pencils will join my Faber castell collection.

Oh my, I'm envious! I have the 60 color polychromos, and I'm having to extend my colors bit by bit. I love him so much! I would love to try the watercolors! Also, those erasers look pretty cool.

I love the 9000 Jumbos! I have hand issues and these are great! I also love my Albrecht Dürer’s though I’m only lucky enough to have the 36 set. I also have the fold up/down waterpot and it is really good because the rubber edge to the underside stops it from moving around and it’s so easy to wash out as the debris just slides off the inside. Lots of love and best wishes for happy times using them!

I am a sucker for a good tin lol. My crazy ex-mother-in-law sent some strange cookies to my kids a few months ago -- they came in the most beautiful huge red decorative tin. The kids tried the cookies and didn't care for them so I tossed the cookies and kept the tin lol! Best thing I've ever gotten from her 😝🙃😝
Yay, I'm so happy for you!! I've tried the Graphite Aquarelle set, their metal sharpener, and both the regular and jumbo Castell 9,000 graphite pencils. You're right in that those jumbo pencils are great for large backgrounds. I was working on 18" x 24" paper for my drawing fundamentals class and discovered that they are wonderful to use for medium-large areas and backgrounds. Plus, the larger lead means you can block in an area faster.

I love my Clik & Go water tub. It makes it easy to take to class and to pack up afterwards. One nice thing is that you can rest your brush on top and it won’t roll off.
I am a huge fan of Faber-Castell. I have tons more than this, but sadly I don’t have half your talent, so really I just get it out and look at it all and it makes me so happy. So happy you are going to be showing these off.

Yes,no have tried all of these products except for the cup! My favorites are the graphite aquarelle for drawing before watercoloring and polychromos and Albrecht Durer pencils! These are high quality and fabulous to work with!

For my experience Faber-Castell makes the best art supplies! I have always been happy with their products and I collected almost all of them.
I also think they have the most beautiful tins, I love the artwork on their tins, one more reason to collect them all :D

Oh my God that's awesome I love it when you get boxes in you're always so happy.
Personally I love the water soluble graphite pencils now the very first pack of pencils I purchased were in this really nice tin box, they were getting pretty short. So about three weeks ago I ordering another pack of pencils on ebay and I ran across the one that has the brush in it is so nice now I haven't got a chance to use that brush yet I've been using my watercolor brushes but to have one specifically for the pencils will be really nice.
That brush is soooo perfect for these pencils. I find that you can get away with using just that one brush on the entire piece if you wanted to!

Best box of goodies I’ve ever seen!!!!! Wow!
I use the graphite crayons and file them down to a powder using a fine metal file. Then use a cotton ball and q-tips to put on dark graphite backgrounds quickly and super smooth.

I have the Albrecht Dürer water color pencils. The pack of 36 and I really like to use them together with Caran d'ache supra color soft. Both are really great sets in my opinion. I hope you enjoy them.

The only thing I don't have is the big graphite set and I love the stuff from Faber Castell. They produce such high quality and got such a nice customer service. A few years ago I had a question about a product, they got back to me really quick and as a thank you they sent me an envelope a some pens and stuff. Great company.

@@Lachri I live in Germany so it's easier to get the stuff, every art supply store got most of their products. And it might also be cheaper as in the US. And actually it's your fault ;o) It all started years ago as I subscribed and binge watched your videos. :O))))

Wow! That's a whole heap of goodies! I am saving for their Pitt Artist Brush Pens full set and Polychromos full set (or any size really). They were fantastic when I asked about my plethora of allergies and gave me recommendations. I love their black brush pens. Great intro and storytelling clips with the tater!

Every time I talk myself into spending the extra for Faber Castell, I'm glad I did later. The Magnus version of the Durer pencils are my very favorite. I bought the set of 24 and then bought singles to have the whole set. It's the right number of colors for me to work from, and the size is so nice.
Oh hey, I just reviewed those graphite pencils and totally agree that they’re surprisingly great! Super double extra bonus points for their brush actually being nice, which is really unusual for freebie brushes.
Oooooh, I need to get some of those dust-free eraserssssss. My desk is always covered in eraser squibblies!

I am looking forward to your mixed media demo of the Albrecht Durer and the Polychromos. I find color pencils by themselves to be slow and tedious. I am anxious to see if combining the two will speed up the process and make traditional color pencils more enjoyable to work with.

Awweeee sweeeeeeet 😆 I love Faber Castell and I've been slowly getting a good amount of their products. I can't wait until I can get my hands on a full set of their PITT artist pens. On another note, I absolutely love their watercolour pencils, jumbo graphite pencils, water soluble graphite pencils and their PITT artist pens; I love how well they work together, the quality and just how consistent the colours are even across different mediums
Edit: I really need to get a set of the graphite pencils that have harder graphite in the H range
Yeah, I had NO idea they made the harder leads! I'm excited to try them! How did you like the jumbo graphite pencils?
@@Lachri I quite like them, the larger barrel size sits nicely in the hand and while it can cover larger areas, you can still get a nice fine point from it. Faber Castell also has a jumbo version of their watercolour pencils (24 colours), they're also great, I find myself always reaching for the jumbo version instead of the regular size

I've used the watercolour pencils for years and they are brilliant, newer user to the polychromos but love them too. Buddy them up with some decent paper and cardstock and you will have a wonderful time.
