Hi Wura, I'm a new subscriber who's getting married in 3 months. Your video is so on point. I wish I had seen this sooner because I have some of those maids you described. Especially my MOH Who isn't lifting a finger 😣.
Thanks luv! I needed this. Could you also do a video on how to do a "strictly by invitation" or no children wedding because it's really difficult in the African culture. People will catch feelings and throw tantrums once you mention that you want a limited number of guests due to costs or you want to be surrounded by close family/ friends or your venue is inappropriate for children. How do you keep the numbers low and enforce these restrictions while also keeping the peace between you and your family?
Personally I put a line in my invitation card that said "We Love all Children but Please Leave them at home because it's an Adult-Only Party" ...it worked ☺️
Great advice. Love how honest you were. These types are good friends TO YOU but not as a bridesmaid/team player. VERY TRUE. We need to SEE who are friends really are. Great video.
Wow, this has really saved me alot of unnecessary stress. For me I want less number of bridesmaids, what number do you think would be ideal? Can I also have my sisters as bridesmaids? This is so far the best wedding channel I have seen on you tube. Big UPs to you sis😙
Can you do a video about how to deal with people you 'probably should have' as bridesmaids/groomsmen etc. For example, if your fiancé has sisters, do they have to be bridesmaids? What about if you don't get on too well with your own sister?
Slytherin Flower I was part of a wedding where the bride and the grooms brother didn't get along. It was so draining for her and for me to watch her struggle with his sister. Unless the groom and his sister have a strong bond and she's his only sister and her one chance to be a part of a sibling's wedding don't do it.
I guess it does get to a stage where one has to say no as the number will just keep increasing otherwise and become rowdy especially if you just wanted a few people.
Really nice video! Your pictures are epic! The one about true colours showing up had me in stiches. Bridesmaids can actually make brides late too if they are too focused on how they look and if they waste time doing their own makeup. I did a video on this recently too.
Am a new subscriber and loving all your wedding tips🙈 Am getting married in Kenya 🇰🇪 in August next year. Would be nice to get tips on how to plan a wedding from another country 🙈
Or two groomsmen to 1 lady they don’t have to hold her she can walk ahead of them during the ceremony entry and they can all dance to enter the reception. I almost had this situation and in case anyone drops this will be my first solution .
Wura, I appreciate the time you took to bring each category to light. I’m a bride to be and I think I have a girl from every section. This information will help me to navigate them whilst still being in control. Secondly, I think I may need your help with decorating my venue. I was thinking of doing a wisteria backdrop with my bridal team but I still feel like I’ve missed something out. The wedding will be outdoors and I wish I could drape the gazebo but my budget is tight. Thirdly, can you to an itinerary from the ceremony to the last hour to help brides like me see how to build in rest periods as well as how to fill the time from the end of the ceremony to the wedding breakfast. I look to hearing from you. P.s wedding is 30/6/2019 in Warrington Uk
Great advice Wura. Really appreciate it alot and make select the reliable bridesmaid for my wedding...💖💖 Thank you once again💋💋 Lots of Love. From Singapore💖
hi wura i dont really have friends and the little once i have are all on your list for the no's what do i do? can you make a video advising people like me?
Hey hun! You'll just have to find a way to manage them. Put your foot down and be on top of them, try to pick the most reliable one to help you out xxx
Hi Wura Manola! I love your videos, I came on here because I needed support and so glad I did. Can you please assist me? So at the beginning of my wedding planning I decided to propose and ask my two sister in laws to be bridesmaids and now I'm regretting it. One, main reason is because I can see now that the older sister is jealous of me, she fits the absolute description in your video for that kind of bridesmaid! During dress sizing she kept commenting and critizing my weight. She is defiantly not someone I would want as a bridesmaid and if I tell her that she would go hysterical, be overly dramatic, and go crying to everyone in the family. It would also hurt my mother in law who I care about. So Wura Manola please HELP! What should I do in this case? Should I just make them ( my two sister in laws) Honary Bridesmaids for the wedding? I just wish I can kick them out honestly. I know that sounds bad but they have always put me and my finance through a lot. I just don't want them at the at the alter with me. Those are for the very special people in my life. I don't feel genuine towards them and like I always have to keep my guard up. If they are Honary bridesmaids, they can still feel part of the wedding and important just not next to me. Or should I only consider having Maid of Honors? Please HELP! Thank you.
Hi Mily! Oooh that sounds stresssful! I would say do what’s best for YOU and forget how it’ll make them feel! This is YOUR wedding and YOUR day. So find a way to move them off the title they have without causing too much drama. As you said consider having maid of honours and have your sisters-in-law as regular bridesmaids. Also, have you tried talking to the one that made the rude remarks? Having a one-to-one to set boundaries and also politely say how you feel could help (depending on your relationship) and their behaviours. Wishing you all the best! You know your family more than me so do what’s best for you but at the same time trying to maintain peace and make sure your fiancé has your back 100% so you’re not going at this alone. Xxx
Having so much trouble choosing my bridemaids. These tips are really helping me out...Thanks so much Wura!!!
Kylie H you’re welcome ❤️
“Shut up!! ahh you complain too much” 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂

This video once again has helped me sooo much, I realised I needed to remove someone from my bridal train. Thank you sooo much ❤️
You're very welcome hun xxx Happy planning and wish you a beautiful wedding day and blessed marriage xx

I'm also facing the same problem. We agreed on 4 bridesmaids/groomsmen but now the number has doubled because "I have to be accommodating".
I guess it does get to a stage where one has to say no as the number will just keep increasing otherwise and become rowdy especially if you just wanted a few people.
Great advice ! This helped a lot !! Why must this be so stressful tho to choose ...uggghhhh help !
that's it, i gotta hire bridesmaids!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I'm bringing out my destination wedding planning video soon, it should help xxx
True the last one is just right
My issue is I don’t have sisters nor lots of women friends. My partner has at least 8 groomsmen. I don’t want to randomly pick ladies.
See If you guys can have different numbers because managing big numbers (especially if they're not good friends) is difficult
Or two groomsmen to 1 lady they don’t have to hold her she can walk ahead of them during the ceremony entry and they can all dance to enter the reception. I almost had this situation and in case anyone drops this will be my first solution .
Thanks! I really needed advice on picking from so many girls.

Excellent
Too bad i dont have any good friends then because all of them are this way.... sigh
Faiza Yaseen I’m sure you can work it out somehow xxx
Your advice makes me not want to have bridesmaids in the future
Inga Ragland don’t be afraid! It’s only a cautionary video! Choose the bridesmaids you want and just know how to manage 😊
