I lost my brother just last month when cancer ruled the victor. No words can decribe the pain since he passed 'till now. Days will never be the same without him. There's always that void inside that only him can fill. To my mother and father, we can get through all these pain and suffering. "Let memories be our partner. Nurture it. Hold it. Dance with it". When I was 16, I and my father stopped talking to each other for something really petty and due to our egos we never really spoke again.
in 2010 I moved to Thailand and he wrote me good luck by email before I go. All that time I never really worried about our situation because I thought that one day once I'm back in Canada we would be able to settle our problems.
Then on August 28th, 2018 my mother called me to let me know that he passed away suddenly after coming back from the grocery store.
To everyone that still have their parents in their life or that one friend that means a lot to you - never be afraid or shy to let them know how much you appreciate and love them. Because you never know what life has for ya.

She was 22 when she's gone. This year, I turned 30 and she would have been too if she was still there. It's weird to "grow up" without her, to think that she'll remain forever young, that I'm getting older, that us, her friends, are still living in a world that she left, living things she will never do and thinking of her when we hit major points of our lives, wishing she was there to witness them and to share them with us. And at the same time, I feel "relieved" sometimes that she doesn't get to know the state of the world right now. Our lives moved on without her but still she's a part of it and she will always remain.
