I’ve been saying it for weeks… we need to give Ange until the summer then assess. We have to give a manager a chance to prove his football not chop and change because of a injury crisis which is out of the managers hands
Ange should be given three seasons before a decision is made with any of the seasons having such a magnitude of injuries not coubted one of the three. Also any player that is continuously injured should be gotten rid of, because it is clear that his build is not suitable for the PL.
If the injuries are down to playing style then that should be true to his whole managerial career. Would that mean the Celtic team were a lot hardened than the Tottenham team. Hmm? 🤨
New manager comes in. Team play well. Form drops. Manager sacked. How many more times. Do not want to see Ange sacked. But how long will ENIC give him.
The game against Liverpool is an example that Ange had the players fighting a battle that they can't win. Our starting lineup are tired players from previous game while Liverpool had the advantage to rest many players against Southampton. We lose 3-6 in an "entertaining" match. This leaves the players on an empty tank against NF.
We've got to give Ange at 3 to 4 seasons minimum. The reality is that all we'll gain this season is extra experience and game time for our younger players, which they most likely wouldn't have had. Its frustrating and disappointing I know, but if you're expecting short term success you're off your rocker. The pressure for Ange to win these other Cups this season under the current circumstances is demented. The fans that are calling him deluded and a fraud need to practice some self awareness and smell their own shit. That kind of behaviour is not counter-productive to building a winning culture, it only creates a loser mentality within the club and gives you more of the same. It's not a quick fix, it rarely is! Take the heat off the man and have the patience to see us through these challenges ahead and we will get some success. Otherwise... well, more of the same and just drinking your own tears...
Barnaby, when you have the injuries we have, it isn't an excuse, it is a reality. The whole "no excuses" thing is such a tired sports talking point. It's what pundits resort to because it's so easy. When you have the amount of first team injuries that we are experiencing, there is no way you can easily overcome them. They are first teamers FOR A REASON. They are the best you have at the position. Then add in the fact that even if your squad is capable of picking up the slack, we are in 3 competitions, so the injuries means there is no rotation. You get the know it all types that resort to this "no excuses" drivel sitting at their computers with a coffee in one hand and a pastry in the other. Give me a break. I don't pretend to know if Ange is the solution, but I like his mentality. And I know for a fact that changing managers like underwear the last several years has gotten us nothing.
You have all seen when it works…. Beautiful football! Each game 10 players injured? Imagine Man U with 10 players injured … their new manager can’t win with full side. I think Ange will eventually succeed. If he doesn’t survive, maybe we can get Nuno! He seems like a good coach that wins where he goes!
I’m Ange in… But… I feel that he needs to swallow his pride and make tweaks to his football style, as it doesn’t seem to be sustainable (especially with all the mounting injuries). Just continuing to play this way (and refusing to change his style of play) is clearly taking a toll on the players. Tweak Angeball, at least until we get all our top players back, and we can play Angeball again. Because when it works, it really works. But we need the players to do it. If Ange is just going to continue his high level of play, more players are just going to get injured. We can’t play against Tamworth the same way we play Liverpool. You need to tweak as and when, depending on your opponent. I fear that many teams have started to figure out how we play… and whatever we do is just not working anymore. Please… just make tweaks… nobody’s asking you to completely change your style of play. If this carries on, Ange will lose his job and we’re going to spend another 18 months to rebuild….😢
It’s a massive challenge to change the style of play and a park the bus team built around Kane but with these key players out, fatigue of those left and no strength of depth… for any manager, I just see the same old rinse and repeat if they get rid of Ange. We’ve seen recently that any managers out there don’t want to be at Spurs, a club that sacks managers every season… So far I have not seen one Ange out comment come up with a credible possible replacement. That’s because there isn’t one
A balanced take. Kudos. The common sense thing would be to wait till summer and then see where we are. However a vocal (hysterical) section of our fanbase (and a number of tottenham youtube channels) are so instant-gratification oriented, I'm afraid we'll see AP gone and have success elsewhere as we continue on the self-destructive sack-a-manager merry go round that is Tottenham.
He doesn't take any responsibility for the defensive injuries. When you only play two at the back, they have more ground to cover and have to work much harder. Of course they are more likely to get injured. But he can't play more at the back and still have the kamize all out attack that he wants. With his methods more players brought in just means more added to the injury list.
@@p_sg3449 Exactly my observation as well . Ange thinks the players are machines. They aren't . Many play carrying injuries just so that we have some balance in the line up .

Not to say that managers and Ange can't be hypocritical, but managers have a tough job where they have to say things to psychologically galvanise players, or protect them, or keep them in line/give em a kick up the ass/assert authority over toxic guys, whilst also trying to avoid saying things that get themselves into trouble or contradict earlier things they've said and get used against them by the media etc. Not easy whilst also meeting your obligations to fans and media.
I was at the Wolves game last year. Poor goal conceded from a corner. Gomes, a small player given a free header. They also broke from three of our corners, could have scored on all three and only scored one. This was against a more full strength side of ours. I think we are in huge trouble today. God knows who plays with Gray at CB. Midfield need to wake up. I guess Maddison is back in. We might need to out score them as they will get 1 or 2 for sure. They did the double over us and this is the kind of side we struggle to break down.
We've gone into the last 2 seasons with only 3 proper CBs, which no other club in the league would ever even think of doing. It's unbelievable that a supposedly big club with so much money can be so negligent. Ange is also at fault as he could have kept someone like Phillips in the squad as emergency backup. Playing VDV and Romero against Chelsea was also a stupid decision.
The squad is not talented to play the ANGE way, so I don't think it's going to work. And he has no Plan B, so ANGE out and get someone who's tactically astute
For Spurs, the Wolves, Newcastle, and Arsenal matches, along with a few others, aren't crucial wins. Ange can remain calm even if they lose them all. No worries 80% of Spurs fans will still back you even if you repeat this next season. Keep on entertaining us that's the most important thing.
The injury crisis is killing us no doubt But there is more to it than just that, like his style, lack of adjustment when have injuries etc But how would an interim manager change anything with the same very injuries? I don’t think anyone could
Angie will turn it around however, needs 3 more Quality players in rotation. He needs his team to go flat out then sub to come in and keep it going. He will have his core players but subs are very important they will stay healthy when rotation is working .
Just subscribed. I agree with you , Betancur to play CB ,not Besouma. In any case the central defence looks very weak so no playing out, just punt a goalkick upfield. I think even a draw on Sunday would be a positive.
Agreed - No new manager would be able to improve on where Spurs are at the moment. There are too many broken players and his tactics would be hard to shift mid-season. Reinforcements - CB should be Olivier Boscagli. His contract is ending this summer and he is at PSV Eindhoven. He would truly improve how our backline plays. Injuries - Many of them are directly on him due to his tactics and his lack of rotation. The former leads to many last-ditched efforts and just sheer chaos at times. The latter started with Radu last year, continued with Spence at the start of this year, and is still present in how Dorrington and Austin are still not getting a look even though they can change the current dynamic. If you rotate players from the start of the year, like Radu coming in for Mickey or Romero BEFORE Europa, guys are less likely breaking. Jose and the League Cup - That was Levy not wanting Jose to win something. It was selfish, but you could see that Jose was a terrible fit. Conte - Agreed that he's more suited to Italy and that the football was dull...definitely paint drying comes to mind. Ange and pressure - I see it too and he deserves pressure for being so rigid. I am sick of seeing his one-way tactics, different than Conte but just as stuck. He knows he's on the precipice and if he loses both of those games, there's no way he stays. The only good coach out there is Edin Terzic and he could be interesting. Injuries - Uhhh.....totally agree with your "relentlessness" statement, but his stubbornness in playing a full squad is just as big of part of the problem. Biss as a CB - Totally agree that he can't play there safely, and I'm sad if Dorrington doesn't get a chance. Brighton would take that chance like that and that's why their players ending up thriving and why "silly-season" folks end up wanting their players. Conclusion - We will only be better if Ange can more fluidly play a full squad AND he changes up tactics game to game, as well as within each. Cheers back at you and I'll watch with you tomorrow. Scott Rozell Portland, OR, USA
I disagree about Timo. I think realistically he could've overcome his confidence issues at the positive environment of Spurs' dressing room and it made sense to renew his contract. It's not like we had the means to get anyone better on the summer window anyway (for a feasible price, considering the spendings we made.) But yeah, it has not worked out at all and unfortunately he needs to be let go.
Timo is actually the only attacker we have that can regularly beat his man, and he has mostly been effective considering the context. I agree it was a sensible resign under the circumstances. While he isn’t a long term solution we desperately need more attackers that can go past defenders, not less so I would add and keep Timo till the summer
Not for me B. Results absolutely need to change and the only way that’s going to happen is a change in tactic. The one thing he refuses to do. Injuries? We have been terrible even with full strength squad! The last 12 months prove this. Too much sentiment in this fanbase it’s why we are bantered so much. We could still save our season if we make a change. We will not beat Liverpool over two legs with his tactics. Just silly now, Daniel knows and it’s coming. Sooner the better
I think we should keep him, let him finish this season and then see how it went.. If we finish outside of Europe and without a trophy then we let him go
Spurs have 2 tricky home games in the league and then a league cup semi against Liverpool in which only a supreme optimist would give any chance. Come the Tamworth game an interim manager will be in place.
Angeball is one solution (same tactic, same formation every single game) against any opponents. That's a fundamental flaw. There is no way to around it. Sack the manager.
He's just dug himself into a deep deep hole, with stubborness, ridulous methods, and player management. IMHO, this was for him a step to high for the EPL.
To succeed we need a back 4 of micky van der ven's for it to work. We obviously aint gonna get that so i just can't see it working, sorry. Having said that, we gotta stick with Ange at least till the end of the season though. Either way we're not gonna beat Liverpool over two legs, no chance.
Imagine being paid 5 million a year to constantly blubber about injuries & the number of games we have to play - hello ! How about coming with some solutions to make the best of what we have instead.
We've got no chance against liverpool in those semis unless they play the kids and we have our first team. And then it'll be a struggle. For some reason though ive got a feeling we might actually win something. I'd take the Audi cup atm lol
He is blaming the amount of time the players are on the pitch for all the injuries. There is some truth to all the Cups being played for but he's training techniques and "project" plans certainly have some factor in all these injuries. Do any of you actually think the reinforcements are going to be players that would make a difference? Levy is not going to change. "here we go around the mulberry bush".
He does not learn and that is not a good thing, he ignores issues staring everyone in the face and even if those issues are temporary he should tweak the squad to combat these issues. The clue is in the job title, MANAGE.
Ange has obvious tactical flaws in his coaching and management. The mounting injuries and the failure of the defense to close down attackers in the middle and the flank has resulted in us conceding many goals. Further we don't make enough crosses to the opponent's penalty box instead players like Kulu loves to pass the ball around the edge of the box to keep possession but no penetration.
Ive always said and nothing that has happened has changed my opinion, you give a manager 2 yrs and judge him on his 3rd. Give him until the first 10 games of the 3rd season and judge him on that. We are still in with a good shot at Europa, we are in the semis of the Carabao despite the injuries
Ange has played and promotes youth evidence Moore Lankshear ...why do our content creators think doing this in less than 2 seasons is easy or puts anyteam top of the league

Keep on entertaining and losing Ange, defence is not important, after all we are nothing but an Ange Cult now 😆🤣
What a load of nonsense! Football is a results business!
But it's great losing games cobber!😊
Good take Barnaby
Injuries as an excuse is fair enough for the defence but the forwards have to take the chances we create
Ange needs to change tactics on a match to match basis instead of being stubborn and refusing to see our glaring faults on the field .
I’d put Kulu as a Center Back
yes. along with Son.
@ agreed
The injury crisis is killing us no doubt
But there is more to it than just that, like his style, lack of adjustment when have injuries etc
But how would an interim manager change anything with the same very injuries? I don’t think anyone could
Angie will turn it around however, needs 3 more Quality players in rotation. He needs his team to go flat out then sub to come in and keep it going. He will have his core players but subs are very important they will stay healthy when rotation is working .
I was thinking Bentancur at CB - and leave Biss at no 6
Just subscribed.
I agree with you ,
Betancur to play CB ,not Besouma.
In any case the central defence looks very weak so no playing out, just punt a goalkick upfield.
I think even a draw on Sunday would be a positive.
Some fans are making Ange bigger than the club...We are his experiment...He is the wrong man for the job...FACT

Timo will suit a lower club or division
Timo is actually the only attacker we have that can regularly beat his man, and he has mostly been effective considering the context. I agree it was a sensible resign under the circumstances. While he isn’t a long term solution we desperately need more attackers that can go past defenders, not less so I would add and keep Timo till the summer
@@yigitcengil2465 he still offers more than Sonny does…at least he attacks his fb and can outpace most to get a cross in
U repeating Anges interview
And giving my opinions on it… thanks for watching
Not for me B. Results absolutely need to change and the only way that’s going to happen is a change in tactic. The one thing he refuses to do. Injuries? We have been terrible even with full strength squad! The last 12 months prove this. Too much sentiment in this fanbase it’s why we are bantered so much. We could still save our season if we make a change. We will not beat Liverpool over two legs with his tactics. Just silly now, Daniel knows and it’s coming. Sooner the better
Barnaby you have been the most sensible voice during this time. Can we just go through a rebuild for once.
At all costs, Levy needs to sign Andoni Iraola at the end of the season.
I think we should keep him, let him finish this season and then see how it went.. If we finish outside of Europe and without a trophy then we let him go
Yes, Barnaby. We need to see out this injury period. But what about Ange? He needs to up his bloody game management & stop embarrassing the fans.
Spurs have 2 tricky home games in the league and then a league cup semi against Liverpool in which only a supreme optimist would give any chance. Come the Tamworth game an interim manager will be in place.
When we get a team on the park we will rock you.
Just pay the price required, too many excuses just get on with it Levy
We were crap before this injury crisis. If we lose to wolves he’s in big trouble.
Should’ve appointed a carbon copy style of a high press manager the same as poch when he was sacked
Beryl the tea lady at CB! Why not...
" Yeah mate, she's got talent mate "😂😂😂😂😂
Bring back Harry Redknapp
Angeball is one solution (same tactic, same formation every single game) against any opponents. That's a fundamental flaw. There is no way to around it. Sack the manager.
do you actually watch the games? obviously not. educate yourself by watching a YT channel that shows the nuances in each Spurs game.
Ange has got the deadwood out. Evidence the changes to the squad
Yes in right
He's just dug himself into a deep deep hole, with stubborness, ridulous methods, and player management. IMHO, this was for him a step to high for the EPL.
Ange is full of it. Let’s see after we lose the next four games.
He should have gone after the Liverpool game.
You clappers all fell for the Ange BS this time last year. "Ange will get backed he's the man", who did we "buy".....Timo Werner. Case closed.😅😅
Levys tottenham
his insane high line is approved by all our opponents :(
To succeed we need a back 4 of micky van der ven's for it to work. We obviously aint gonna get that so i just can't see it working, sorry. Having said that, we gotta stick with Ange at least till the end of the season though. Either way we're not gonna beat Liverpool over two legs, no chance.
I can't find anything to disagree with you on.
In Ange I trust.
Wot's happened to the relationship with WATTV?
He is blaming the amount of time the players are on the pitch for all the injuries. There is some truth to all the Cups being played for but he's training techniques and "project" plans certainly have some factor in all these injuries.
Do any of you actually think the reinforcements are going to be players that would make a difference? Levy is not going to change. "here we go around the mulberry bush".
Barnaby please speak on the facts that ange is spurs worst manager in the Premier leagr eva states wise
Angie, one change his style of play bring in a new manager different style of play asked the difference🏴
Words are worth nothing. If he can't win, he will be sacked in January.
Future talent 18 year olds incoming with permanent contract for Timo..just in case a rival "snaps him up"😂😂😂😂😂😂
He does not learn and that is not a good thing, he ignores issues staring everyone in the face and even if those issues are temporary he should tweak the squad to combat these issues.
When arteta was building, 8,8,5.the fans were talking so much shit.now listen to our fans 18 months on.same old shit
Ange has played and promotes youth evidence Moore Lankshear ...why do our content creators think doing this in less than 2 seasons is easy or puts anyteam top of the league
We will never beat Liverpool over 2 legs, you are in dreamland if you think otherwise 😮 I’ve supported Spurs home and away for 25 years then another 30 years as a fan and never ever had we had such poor form, even in the year 1976 when we were relegated, I was at WHL to see it, but we still were a half decent team with a decent manager!
