Just like the co writer of the Village people's song YMCA said it wasnt a gay anthem. Even though his fellow writer was gay and the gay community adopted it. You don't get to dictate how other's feel about art. That song also wouldn't be as popular as it is if it wasn't for the amount of gay people buying it and streaming it. Half the group wer gay and their other hits Macho Man and In The Navy are clearly homosexual anthem too. You don't even have to be queer to figure it out. Other songs like I will survive and I'm coming out, weren't written specifically for gay men but they were adopted by gay men as anthem too. You don't get to decide how people interpret art.
