- In this easy cooking video, I cook some corned beef brisket in my slow cooker. I seasoned my corned beef with Johnny's Seasoned Pepper amzn.to/2n851c1 and then cooked it in the crockpot for 10 hours on low and it was very tender and juicy.

Of the two dozen “make perfect corned beef” videos I’ve watched, this one has thee best looking finished product by far. I’d kill for a plate of that, my goodness
Exactamente igualmente
Update: the poster of this comment has been arrested for indeed, killing someone for corned beef
Same
Just found your video. Looks great! I’m 74 yrs, this will be my first corned beef. Husband didn’t like corned beef so never cooked it. He’s passed last year, so I’m cooking for me! I didn’t like all the liquid others put in, seemed like a lot. Can’t wait to try it this week! Thanks for you video! 😁👍💕
Have fun!
it's a individual taste thing I guess, but rinsing it for a while, I think, would have been better.....for me OKayyeee, onward>>>>
This video is the truth! No added liquid, 10hrs on low, turned out perfect. Thank you sir.
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
Was it too salty for you this way without adding water?
I hope mine comes out Ok with no liquid, because it was a little too big for my crockpot LOLso I hope it cooks evenly!
Great recipe)
This recipe is just what you need!
Just made one of these .It was in my crock pot for 8 hours overnight and it was so good and so easy that I went to the store and purchased more .Thanks!
I'm glad you liked it!
I watched your video, and decided to make it this way for my dad’s St Patty’s/Birthday dinner. A lot of pressure, because of the occasion, and the fact I had never made corned beef before. Let me tell ya’ll, IT TURNED OUT AMAZING, AND EVERYONE LOVED IT! Thanks for the video!
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
I will be trying it this way
I watch this video over 10 times! No water ! Yes! I’m doing this tomorrow but I using the juice for my cabbage, carrots and potatoes
Have fun!
I followed this recipe yesterday and it was truly the best corned beef I’ve ever made. Rinsing off the brine and skipping the seasoning packet included in the pack is a game changer. instead I used a salt free seasoning, mustard seeds, pepper, sugar and bay leaves. Placed it fat side down, did not lift the lid for 11 hours and it was perfectly cooked with a “bark” as you expect with brisket and a nice sauce in the pot to spoon over potatoes, carrots and cabbage, which I steamed in a separate pot. A fantastic dinner and don’t forget the horseradish!! Thanks for sharing tour technique.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Ok… Going to try in a 2 weeks 3/17/2022 🙏
I was just typing on search " corned beef in slow-cooker " and then your video was first to click in.
Absolutely the greatest Corned Beef recipe on youtube. Thank you 🤩😍
Can’t believe how simple and delicious this is
I've tried to cook brisket a number of ways, and I've had a variety of successes and otherwise. Your method produced the best brisket I've made, hands down. Thanks for this simple way. It's absolutely worth the wait.
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
plain brisket; I agree
Sir, I made this as you instructed and it was so delicious. First time ever! It was a little salty, but I am gonna soak it next time but OMG you had me feeling like I was a chef! Thank you
Nice! I'm glad you liked it!
Did you season it? Is that why it was salty?
@@hospitaladministrator3359 I was told corn beef is just salty. I was also told to soak the meat in cold water, before cooking, to remove some of the salt. I’ll be cooking my corn beef brisket this St Patrick’s Day, I’ll be doing it just like he did in the video. ☘️
@@TheEwing69 okay understandable. I made it recently and I think if you add water and rinse the meat before hand, it comes out perfectly.
If you soak it, you might remove too much flavor. If you rinse it before cooking, it should be great. I like the seasoning it comes with, no added salt
I woke up at 7am and followed most of what you did. Minus I don’t have that seasoning. So I added onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, and a little old bay. Cooked on low for 10 hours, and it came out great 👍
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
Corned beef brisket is literally one of my favorites Foods. Surprisingly the one they sell at Aldi is one of the best tasting and best seasoned corned beefs I have found. About a year or so ago I started cooking them in a dry slow cooker with the fat side down. I will never make it any other way now. For years I had been making it using a can of Foster's beer because for some reason it added a great flavor but since I found such a great corned beef I like to keep it simple all by itself. I also like to cook the vegetables separately and based them with the fatty heavily concentrated broth that came out of the corned beef
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
Is it cattlemen ranch
Yes, I agree Aldi has the Best tasting Cornbread Brisket. I'm going to try this method this Sunday for dinner. Thanks for showing your easy cooking method.
I got mine from Aldi that I'm cooking right now
Ah, I tried this recipe and couldn't stop eating that corned beef, Goodness, it was so good... I just bought another piece of meat and tomorrow first thing in the morning, I'll be on it. Thank you so much. Again, that was unbelievable.
Can't believe I just now found this! Making it tonight!! St. Patricks Day week when Corned Beef goes on sale is like winning the lottery
I tried it and man it was perfect!!!
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
yup! did it. it was great! BUT, I did add a few splashes Worcestershire Sauce. Great, simple recipe
I loved when it went on sale!! But Ive started brining my own at home... it’s a whole new ballgame. Sooo much better! If you smoke it for an hour then crockpot it it’s amazing, or smoke to 160 then wrap it in oven to bring to 203 and cool for 24hrs makes amazing sandwiches. Corned beef is my favorite meal.. Add cooked cabbage is to die for.
Been my go to for 20+years, used to do own corned beef, pastrami, bacon.. but around st. Patrick day i stock up, cheaper lol. I dont rinse, i pat especially when rub with mustard, even Dijon mustard and brown sugar, even made some jerk lol, can be creative with it, tyvm tc
Holy smokes, that finished product is the best I've seen!!!
Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
JUST MADE THIS And came out exactly as advertised!! Thank you so much for the video going to definitely be making this again! I even ordered Johnny’s season pepper on Sunday in anticipation of making this on Saint Paddy‘s day boy is that seasoning going to get use quick!
I had to report in.....and glad yours turned out the right way.
Literally the only way I will ever make corned beef brisket the BEST HANDS DOWN
I've never cooked corned beef brisket in my life. I will for the 1st time tonight, after having watched your vid the other day. I bought my 1st brisket just last night and will cook it in my crockpot tonight. Inspired!
Awesome! Good luck!
@@TosTinManEasyCooking Thanks
I just pulled out my slow cooker 🙌🏾🥰Thank you 💖
I’m making my second corn beef tomorrow following your instructions! The 1st one was amazing! Letting the meat make its own juices made it falling apart tender with excellent flavor! I’m excited to make another one the same way tomorrow!
Nice! I'm glad you liked it!
MIND-BLOWING !!! NEVER, SEEN IT WITH A CRUST LIKE THAT !!! & the pepper, garlic n sugar !!
WOW! that's something I'm going to try for sure. I always added beer but next time I'll just drink the beer!
Yeah, why waste beer! :)
It will probably work out better that way does for me
I did this way with silverside, i can't believe how tender this meat turned out.
11 hours cooking slowly, and my guests thoroughly enjoyed this meal.
Thanks from down under.
your dog is gorgeous.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Just tried this. Ate the whole thing in one shot. Cooked the cabbage in the juice. Washed it all down with about 8 pints of pale ale. Absolutely delicious. The farts in the morning were so so bad the dog barfed on the carpet and the wife trod in it trying to escape to the guest room…most entertaining night in ages! Thanks
LOL Thanks for the great comment!
I use this method with country style pork ribs. Dry rub on ribs, sliced onion on the bottom... Delicious!
Nice!
I watched this video this morning. I was skeptical about the no added liquid but figured why not give it a shot.
Just pulled it out of the crockpot after ten hours on low and DAMN that’s good!
The slow cooker is a magical device, you just toss things in and deliciousness comes out! Looks good and took minimal effort can’t beat that.
Thanks! Yeah, especially with digital one's that you can set the time on. That makes it even easier!
Out of all the other videos out there this one by far came out the best.
Thanks for the simple instructions.
Out of allllllll the videos, you are the only one that cook yours right! Water! Water! All I’m seeing is water! Good job on yours! I’m going with your way so I can add my cabbage and veg to the stock!
Thank you!
Hi I just tried this method today: defrost from last night, wash and dry it in the morning, put some spice (I use five spice powder and chili powder) on, on low for 12 hours. There’s not much juice coming out maybe due to different corned beef type? But it taste so tender and juicy, also has a slightly smoky scent. This will be my go to recipe from now on. Just want to say a huge thank you for it!
That's great! I'm glad you liked it!
I just put a corned beef in water in the crock pot and it's been cooking for 5 hours now and I'm so bummed that I just found your video now 🤣 I have to say that looks like the best corned beef I have ever seen made in a crock pot... I'm definitely going to try it with the next corned beef I make
I just bought a corn beef today for the first time ever and I think I’m gonna make it in the crockpot as well. I like the way yours came out so tender and fall apart almost and I didn’t want to use that seasoning pack either so thank you for the tip! I really didn’t think you could put anything in the crockpot without adding a liquid but I guess you can.
I've been using your method from this video every year for St. Patty's day now for the 3rd year. Works perfect every time. Thanks for the video.
Nice! I'm glad you like it!
Another year has come and I'm back at it with your extremely reliable and enjoyable recipe.
Hello from South Africa😃😃! I used your method to make a Corned beef on Saturday for a dinner party and it was honestly the best Corned Beef I have ever had!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍. I got so many compliments, so thank you so much. Great Recipe, easy to follow and works 100%😋😋😋😋
That's great! I'm glad you liked it!
Tried your suggestion with no liquids, it was great! Everybody loved it. Meat came out perfect. Thanks for the great tip !👍
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it! :)
I'm cooking mine for 10-11 hours. I put it in at 7:30 pm, probably takes some minutes to warm up, and I'll wake up around 7am and give it a taste. Thank you for the video.
Rinse your corned beef and rinse it well before cooking it. It will taste so much better without all that extra salt and preservatives. There will be plenty of both in the meat so rinse off the excess before you season and cook.
This is good advice, I will try that this weekend. Thank you!
Personally I would just pat it dry, no need to rinse. It’s a CORNED beef brisket. I would also use the seasoning packet and add a little Guinness
@@rymo707Most of the briny salt is still on the outside of the beef. Give it a good rinse. It will taste a lot better. I'm pretty sure the package also says to rinse throughly.
rymo707 - I love this idea, I am totally going to try the beer!. Thank you!
Bill Vegas - I gave it a good rinse and am looking forward to it! I will let you know....
This recipe was the best I've ever had and I'm 61 years old. I did rinse the brisket with cold water before putting it in the slowcooker.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
I’m 62 years old and mostly bake my corned beef, haven’t used the crockpot for it in a while. Saw your video and I have a flat cut in the fridge. Thinking of putting it in the crockpot right now. It’s almost 2AM. It will be hard not to add any beer, maybe just a little bit. I will let you know how it comes out. Stay safe in these trying times. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I hope it turns out good!
It’s simple, but it works great, the end result is simply delicious! I made it today, used small potatoes with skin, seasoned with paprika, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. I discarded the seasoning pack from the bag. It was great to have a one pot dinner.
I never considered putting the CB in dry w/o water. I have some CB in the freezer, but I wasn't sure how to cook it. Ur the Man TinMan. 👍
oh my gosh,,, I have got to try this, my first corned beef I made in the crock pot came out good but I boiled it. Next time I am going to try it with steak seasoning "my fav spice "thinking of how great this will be with corn beef hash,, YUMMMMM!
Finally an easier way! Im doing mine the exact same way tonight... Thank you!
Great video, my family cooks corned beef the same way, no need for any water. We do rinse ours off because they can be overly salty sometimes. Perfect. Thanks for sharing your time with us 💕
the dog was waiting foe his bite!
This looks amazing. Thank you so much to everyone that has tried it. Did you use the seasoning packet that came with it and how did it taste?
I always put a can of beer in mine for liquid...the way you made it looks awesome. I still have two in the freezer from back when they were on sale for St. Patrick's day back in March. Thanks for the great idea.
Thanks! I was really happy with the way this turned out. It was so tender!
I never made a corned beef in my life and I am an avid Cook , I came across this and wanted to try it after reading the comments I will be getting a corned beef today for the weekend I can't wait
Looks so good. Your poor dog had to smell that all night. He probably couldn't wait to eat some..lol
I know right. :) Thanks for watching!
Made this for St. Patrick's earlier this year, and it came out AMAZING. I used a two pound cut and it was tender by about 7-8 hours. I was super mad to find out I hadn't Liked or Saved like a dummy 😩 Happy to say I found you again and I'm doing this today for Christmas 🤗 (and liked and saved this time, lol) Thank you for a wonderful recipe! 💯
Yes, you are correct. FOr the first time in my life, I put it in the cooker without adding water. I was very pleased to find that it creates its own juices.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
That looks good even the dog is happy.
Thank you!
I’m going to try this…I’m so excited
Yum, low and slow. Your patience definitely will be rewarded. I like a good crust of pepper to give it a little bit more bite like pastrami.
Sounds good! Thanks for commenting!
I tried this, definitely the best corned beef I've ever had.
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
Wow! That looks so good! I love the color on it and it looks so juicey.Anne is a lucky dog...
Thanks! Yeah, this was super tender and juicy!
Here on cinco de mayo 2024 lol first time making corned beef thank you my guy. Turned out amazing
Awesome!
I have done this every time I eat corned beef. Wont change. Thank you
Next time I do a corned beef brisket, I'm definitely using your method. Oh, and thank you for giving your dog some love.....
I was thinking about cooking a corned beef dry like this... and now i will! thank you so much for making this video.
Tried this out last year and it came out perfect! Came back to double check that there was quite literally nothing needed besides seasoning for this year's St. Patty's Day reubens. Only way I'll ever cook corned beef from now on.
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
I put all of my roast in the Slow Cooker late at night and go to bed. The longer you cook them. The better they are. In every way. Some times I put the Slow Cooker on warm. And leave the roast in it for a couple of days. That I eat on it when I want to. And I clean the mess up only one time. Great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks for commenting!
Wow I am making corn beef brisket next week and stumbled across your channel NOW I KNOW HOW I'M MAKING THIS!!! CROCK POT ON LOW GO TO BED WAKE UP AND IT'S READY TFS 😋😋😋
Great looking brisket ! Just add taters and cabbage, you’re all set ! Or maybe some good rye bread and mustard for that perfect corned beef sammich ! 😋
So glad I found this recipe. It is so easy and turns out great sharing with a fried
Always come back every year for this video and always make it the same way
I just happen to have a Brisket I don't know what to do with, I'm cooking it shortly, it should be ready by 5:00 am for Eggs, home fries, toast and coffee..!! Simple and love it...! Mrs. Dash, Fine Garlic powder, Find Onion powder, pepper and a tad of a season all knockoff by McCormick.
That is what I did, make a dry rub and add NO more liquids, it comes out so nice in its own juice after the 10 hours, incredible. I put my spoon through it no problem, brisket with a spoon!!
Trying this tonight in . Got 2 briskets each barely over 3 lbs in 2 crockpots. Just waiting for the clock to strike 12 Gotta crowd coming tomorrow for lunch ( we're late for St Patty's Day but that's okay we're Irish😂) Wish me luck
illl be trying this weekend too😂 🤞
This video RULES! Right to the point, and no fluff . . .and enjoyed the canine show at the 3:14 mark.
One thing to add . . .On my end, I would quite often buy as many as 4 or 5 corned beef briskets at a time from the grocery store, and spend the entire weekend cooking them in a slow cooker. My technique was to add just a bit of water (and the spice pack(s) that came with them), and cook it for 8 to 10 hours just like you said. But my secret was to reuse the water and cook another brisket in the same liquid base that the previous brisket came out of. Going to try the same technique that you used, but cook each following one in the same leftover liquid that the first one left as residual, and see how the results turn out. Will let you know how it turns out . . . .Take care.
Use some of the liquid for the cabbage
Wow! I just put one in my slow cooker with the seasoning packet plus black peppercorns, black pepper, and lemon pepper. No liquid. Never done it this way, but my money's on your method. Thanks for the pro tip...
Ordered & received my Johnny’s Seasoned Pepper from Amazon. Gonna try your dry slow cooker method tonight before I go to bed. Can’t wait till I taste it in the morning! Thanks!
I did one today with beef bone juice and Turkey stock. Green apple and pears red green cabbage it was great
Sounds good!
This is just perfect simplicity.
Don from Perth Australia here.
Love your honesty, and great simple, tasty cooking for simple folk.
I hope your health is ok, and God bless to our American brothers and sisters.
Thank you!
Gonna try this for the incoming snowstorm that's gonna hit New York tomorrow. My factory is shut down for the day so my wife grabbed a corned beef. Can't wait....salute'
Nice!
Thank you I’m going to use your method for my very first corn beef😋
Love your videos. Am about to cook one just like this, I have one in the freezer waiting to be cooked. THANKYOU! Dinner tonight. 👍😊
yep i followed your cooking instructions and my brisket was amazing.
TY
Awesome! Thanks for commenting!
I followed your instructions and guess what? It turned out great! The most tender corned beef brisket I have ever made! It pulled apart just like in your video.
Awesome!
I make my cornbeef like this for years now since this video. It always turns out the best. Melt in your mouth. Thankyou 😊
Awesome! I'm glad you like it!
It turns out Great doing it with no liquid. I rinsed mine good before cooking. Gotta Love the Beautiful Dog. Bet he eats good all the time
Wow, I've done mine in the slow cooker but I covered it with water. It came great but your way looks incredible!
Thank you!
@@TosTinManEasyCooking We've been brining our own corned beef for the last 10 days. Never did it before but we thought we'd give it a try. It's like 5 pounds. We cut it in half just now and are cooking half of it now overnight in the slow cooker. We like the typical corned beef seasoning package so we're making our own of that. If it comes good in the morning, we'll put the other half of the meat in, if not, we'll do it in water. Will let you know the results! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
@@blondegirl132 Awesome! Yeah, let me know how it turns out.
It is.I always added liquid too. This way is by far the best.
@@TosTinManEasyCooking Well, we did it both ways in the crock pot: with and without water, did a good rinse of the meat both times. Your method cooked great overnight and while it was tasty, it was very salty. So we decided to do the second piece of corned beef in the crock pot with water. I added potatoes and carrots and parsnips in hopes of drawing out some of the salt from the meat. It came better, less salty. I think the next time I do a brine for brisket, I'll use less kosher salt. And I will definitely be trying your method again.
Well it looks like I’ll be buy a corned beef 🥩 this week. I’m glad they are on sale for St Paddy’s Day 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀. That looks sooooooo good can’t wait to try it 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 TFS
Thanks!
No liquid... well I'll be!!!can see annie approves!! Sits down with the " more please" look!! Cant blame her after smelling it all night! I have been cooking my corned beef in my slow cooker for years but with chopped onions carrots celery a glug of cocacola a splash of vinegar and tobasco. And a good shake of italian seasoning!! But the next one will be your way for sure. Thanks jim!
Your method sounds pretty good too! Thanks for commenting!
I made this just like the video, amazing.
Made two more the same way since St. Patrick's day, I can't believe how good they turn out, Thank You...
You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it!
Now I'm salivating. Never thought of trying the slow cooker. Putting one in right now on St. Patrick's Day. Thanks!
UPDATE: the corned beef came out excellent using a Crock Pot/Slow Cooker. I left it for 9 hours and it was very tender and juicy. This is the only way I will ever cook them from now on. Fantastic method. I just added spices and threw it in with no liquids. Unbelievably good. Thanks again!
Brilliant!!! The best looking corned beef too 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Seed package is the best part!
I've viewed several videos as I'm planning to make one of these for the first time. Surprisingly your recipe was the only one without adding any liquid.
I'm impressed with how good looking and super tender yours came out. I think I'm gonna give your recipe a try as I see plenty of comments here with positive reviews. Thank you for this video sir!
You're welcome! I hope you like it!
You are a cooking guru!
Using your method to slow cook a corned beef brisket tonight in our new small Crockpot. Thanks, Jim!!
Awesome! I hope it turns out good!
It turned out so great! Its dry crockpot overnight from now on!
That's great!
Hey Brother 😊 I was kinda not sure about it but went with it anyway and it was AMAZING! Never will I cook it any other way. Thank You Much! Love u and your dog! Happy Thanksgiving 😊
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!
OMG I made my corn beef like you did and it came out so delicious this the only way I'm going to cook my corn beef for now on
Thank you so much
Ps I even purchased the season.
Now on mines I use the little package that came with the corn beef and the pepper seasoning & some gralic power
Yummy😋
That's great! I'm glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video
I agree. Cooking it overnight in the crock pot is a great way to cook corned beef. However, I also let my corned beef chill overnight. That way you can get beautiful slices worthy of company, without most of the roast looking like a dog's dinner. Simply reheat slices on low in your oven, before serving -- adding extra garlic, or a brown sugar mustard glaze, or whatever extra seasonings if you like. The chilling really improves the texture. Before cooking, I also let my roast soak in cold water, about 30 mins, for every pound, changing the water every half hour, to release some of the salt, giving you a heartier beef flavor.
Yes, you would have to soak out the salt, this recipe was horribly salty.
I did it! It was amazing!!!
Nice! I'm glad you liked it!
Trying your method today! In fact, I had it in the crock with 2 cups of water, and then dumped it out to try it your way. Can't wait!
Any thoughts on when to add the potatoes, carrotts, and cabbage?
Me too, just dumped my water out, lol
