      The lake may have raised a few inches from the hurricane and this weekend's monsoon rains. The real source of water is from the Rocky Mountain snow melt. Rain is nice but won't make a huge difference.

    Living in Vegas when I was younger, I can recall one year we had a weird weather system that dumped a lot of rain for a long while. Anyway, that was the only time I saw the desert green and lush. Including the surrounding moutains and hills. It was quite something to see.

      All this rain is probly because of the climate change we all hear about ,and the result is as @dannyfrog said the desert blooms green ,acting as a carbon trap ,because that’s what plants need ,water and carbon ,just shows we don’t need to worry about it,nature takes care of all that excess carbon just fine.

Seeing the abandoned Echo Bay Resort is really sad to see. I am 62 now but remember staying there with a group of friends on a ski trip in about 1980. About eight cases of Bud talls, a 5 pound can of Rosarita refried beans, a bunch of tortillas, and a big bag of cheese. oh, and we crammed about eight guys in one room. Learning Opportunity and DISINFORMATION ALERT! Please don't contribute any rise in Lake Mead water level to any amount of rain that falls in Vegas area or especially California!! Please don't do that in any future videos, no matter if it's a "Hurricane!"
      Let me explain; The topography of California contributes 0.00% of flow into Lake Mead. Instead Cal. leaches water OUT of Mead constantly through the aqueducts built decades ago. Secondly Vegas; the water from Vegas DOES flow into mead, but the lake is soooo large (largest in the U.S.) that Vegas drain water *might* contribute 1" to the lake-- but still doubtful. The comparison is to say when you dump a single glass of water into your swimming pool, the water rises.... (!)
      Now, the reason Mead is rising; They (The Bureau of Reclamation) are draining LAKE POWELL (Second largest reservoir in the U.S.) upstream of Mead. They have been doing this consistently since early June. And that info can be found on the same site you referenced regarding Mead levels. They are doing this in an attempt (God only knows why they favor NV over other states (probably Casino Power :~)), but to avoid water restrictions in Vegas in 2024. Thanks for taking the time to read. The video posted below will clearly show evidence of this...

    One thing to keep in mind is that the Lake is shaped like a funnel or a martini glass. You will get a lot of change for a little rain right now. But as the water level increases, you will see slower results. But another factor is that runoff from Las Vegas will never come close to the runoff from the snowy mountains in Colorado. Any increase from now until the end of the year is gravy.

    Weather is CYCLICAL. These floods were an annual event when I first moved to Vegas, it's why you see million of dollars spent on man made "wash basins" around Southern LV, that collect rain runoff. We are in a drought cycle that is hopefully coming to an end. The record amount of snowfall in Utah/Colorado last winter, is a great sign that things might be changing and hopefully lake Mead, Lake Powell, et. al., fills back up to full capacity.

    I just checked, the lake is 0.00 change since this time yesterday. However, the lake is up about 18 inches from about 10 days ago. And from January 1st, it's up about 22ft. That's about 528 billion gallons of water.
    Fortunately, we're headed into cooler weather (less evaporation)and hopefully a productive wet winter.

    There is another lake which precedes Lake Mead. Why doesn't water run into there? It's called Lake Las Vegas. There are two massive culverts under the lake, the water is routed through them into Lake Meade until the silt settles out. Lake Las Vegas then gets water pumped back up from Lake Mead's service water. It's a manmade lake.

    how do they stop the tons of garbage in the runoff from pouring into lake mead? related it's a shame that while water levels were at their lowest federal, state or just locals weren't able to use the opportunity to remove all the exposed trash, boats, etc.

    • @jessiesdroneadventures7464

      @@jessiesdroneadventures7464 We went to use one of the elevators on the strip the other day cause the escalators were down due to rain. And there was a bum laying down in it and people were afraid to use it. I was pissed and walked right in and said to him ; "I guess it's a f-ing hotel now huh" and his response was "today it is...." He had absolutely no shame and thought he was entitled to use it. Felt like grabbing his stupid lazy ass and physically throwing him out on the sidewalk.

    Jessie, what color are the drones you use on this video. Especially for the Lake Mead scenes? This is very important question. Txs

    • @jessiesdroneadventures7464
      @jessiesdroneadventures7464  Год назад +1

      Great question Greenfrost314. The color of the drone i use is grey, however you cannot fly drones at lake Mead, it's prohibited, and the 1 or two scenes in this video where I did use a drone, I flew it just outside the national park......the photos where it looks like I used a drone, I just climbed the rocky hills to get the shots.....not easy but it works!

    • @greenfrost314
      @greenfrost314 Год назад +1

      Thank you for such a fast reply. I’m gonna tell you why is important. Your video is gold. This one in particular. I know you’ve probably have heard about UAP “Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon” news & such. As I was watching your video I happened to catch one for you. At the 6min & 13 sec mark a round small white UAP appeared on the upper left corner while you were driving. Not even a drone can disappear that fast. It lasted only a few seconds. At first I thought it may be a reflection of something else but you were driving with the passenger window down. Plus it disappeared while you were driving. I played over hundreds of times to see if is legit & it is. If you can’t see it very well I can provide you the screenshot for it. I use to be a video & photo editor so I would know if is fake. All I can say is AWESOME to catch something like that without knowing. Besides a Vegas weather report you have something else too.

      Holy crap !!! You have one sharp eye my guy!!! I never even noticed that, but now that I seen it, I've already watched it over and over at least a dozen times! Yea I would agree there is definitely something there.... I may even go back to the raw file on my hard drive and see if I can enlarge it......things just got interesting! Thank you for pointing that out 👽

    • @greenfrost314
      @greenfrost314 Год назад

      I think you should make another post and say current UAP caught over Lake Mead. You probably get tons of hits! This is your video & you captured it. I’m just glad you were driving with your windows down. Debunkers would of had a hay day with that video if your window was up. You may also be able to send it to the news too. I’m glad I caught your video..:)

    There’s no way there should ever be homeless people in those tunnels.
    They are for emergency water drainage.
