Is Starlux Airlines still good? Cocktail & Hot Soup in Economy | Taipei - Kuala Lumpur 星宇值得推荐吗

- "Hello everyone.."That's the sentence you will always hear whenever you are onboard Starlux flight. Welcome back to my channel. I decided to review Starlux again because their amazing service really mesmerised me. In this flight, I pay more attention into small details and I noticed there are some downsides of it. Perhaps my first journey with JX I was too excited and I only focused on its overall presentation and service.
This time, I found their tray-table a bit too small since there is no cupholder. If you have more than 1 glasses of drink, you might run out of place to put everything and you literally have to eat carefully as not to hit, move and drop anything. Second, choices of entertainment are very limited. Since the airline is new, I guess they are increasing and improving things progressively. Third, the flight map can be lagging sometimes for some reasons. You might have a few minutes cannot use the inflight system and then everything goes back to the home page again (as if it restarts).
On this flight, I received poker card as souvenir. It's beautiful. I also pre-ordered my meal so that you don't have to worry your choice of preference running out. It's still one of the best inflight meals I have ever had. Cabin crew Miss Ashley is so amazing, helpful and friendly. Thanks to her and the team for giving me a great experience. I am looking forward to flying on their A350.
欢迎回到我的频道 由于对星宇航空的服务念念不忘我再次选择星宇航空 来看看到底星宇的服务是否依然维持在绝佳的状态 果然星宇没有让我失望 不过这次飞行体验让我能够比较感受到一些之前没有注意带的细节 或许是因为之前太过于兴奋 😆 经观察经济舱餐桌太小 如果你同时摆放餐盘和两杯饮料 用餐时要非常小心 一个不小心真的会把东西打翻 另外 影视系统里面的娱乐项目类似电影和音乐选项挺少的 相信日后星宇会慢慢增加 作为飞行爱好者最喜欢的就是飞行路线图 可能是我的运气不好 航程中很多次卡卡的一直需要等一段时间然后才能回复正常 有几次貌似重启了整个东西 之前星宇在经济舱提供两种调酒 估计可能是因为乘客多了 加上预备调酒也需要时间 去返提供各一种调酒而已 举例说吉隆坡飞台北是Twilight Mojito而台北飞吉隆坡是Sci-fi Cosmos. 这次终于记得跟空服要了扑克牌太漂亮了 起飞前也预定了餐点 胡同烧肉饭 一个字 赞！特别感谢空姐Ashley 非常友善 非常期待能在不久将来体验星宇A350

Overall I continue to be impressed with Starlux and love the colour scheme of their cabins. Catering and service standards seems to be a highlight in whichever class you fly. Looking forward to their network expanding.

Great video. Starlux was so new, and they operated A330-900 and A321 NEO. It was before China Airlines got A321 NEO. Meals and drinks were both delicious and a nice service. Nice cocktail drink. One day I would fly on Starlux. I heard Starlux launch LAX.

Thank you for this review. In July I will take a flight from Los Angeles - Taipei and then Taipei - Bangkok. I'm excited to see the A350 for myself. looking forward to those meals too.

Where else could you find a hot soup served in economy class? Starlux Airlines is way beyond better than some airlines' business class. The cocktail looks cool.

In Economy, I think JAL sometimes serves miso soup together with their meals on some flights. On ANA economy, hot soup is an option in between meals on long haul flights.

Just a small correction on your comment that Starlux is the first to offer First Class in Taiwan - I believe China Airlines used to offer First Class for some years before. But it'd be accurate to say Starlux is currently the only one offering First.

How I wish they watch this. I guess some of them are already aware of it. JX is their new, rival competitors now.
Are they strict with the size of a carry on luggage? I’m only planning to bring my carry on.
With so many times I flew with them, I remember they didn't check specifically, just quick glanced probably because my handcarry was a small one.
I don't think it's 30-31 inch seat pitch. At least 31-32 considering how spacious and generous recline, much more comfortable compare with CX A321

TBH Starlux economy class meal service is much better than the airline which is said to be 5 stars. Soon i’ll try Starlux 🙏🏼
I agree. Seriously, some major airlines meals can’t beat Starlux inflight service.
And some 5 star airline have now removed appetisers and are introducing paper plates in economy class!

Im debating if i should book my flight from LAX to taipei with starlux the price is not that bad.

Just flew from LAX to TPE Economy Seats are terrible, if person is reclined you can't get out also seats are not comfortable. Customer service terrible english is not good, i know.... but telling me I cant make my flight cause the connection is late (there flight) so my new flight the next day will be at 2030 when they mean 1230 is a problem.... customer no service only available 930 am to 530 pm.. I was told i would not be reimbursed since my flight the next day was early. Wont fly on this airline again why take the chance.
Is baggage inclusive?
Yes. Luggage is inclusive for economy class passengers (23kg either 1 piece or 2 pieces, depending on the ticket's type)
Economy seat still look good.
indeed and in fact its economy seats are way better than some airlines' economy plus or business, in an exaggerate way.
Do they still enforce masks in flight?
For Starlux, yes. They encourage passengers to use a face mask if it is not eating or drinking.
Is seat selection free?
It's free but only 2 days before departure you can choose the seat.
Puts other airlines to shame.
