  • The Riddler Mindbender, previously named Mind Bender, is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Georgia near Atlanta, Georgia. Billed as "the world's first triple-loop roller coaster" when it opened on March 31, 1978, Mindbender has maintained its popularity since its opening. In its 30th anniversary season in 2008, Mindbender was ranked #15 by Amusement Today magazine in its annual Golden Ticket Awards, and was one of only two roller coasters built before 1980 on the list; the other was its "fraternal twin," Shockwave, at Six Flags Over Texas. ~wikipedia

I remember riding this Original Mind Bender on our 2011 Georgia Vacation before it was called, Riddler's Mindbender.

Mind Bender at Six Flags Over Georgia is still my favorite coaster there. Still love their Batman and Superman coasters, and Goliath is okay too, along with Blue Hawk and Scream Machine rides. Still have yet to get a ride on Twisted Cyclone. Of the newer coaster additions, Kid Flash Coaster looks good, although the area next to Axis Arena would've been ideal for a Premier Rides launch coaster, if SFOG were to have invested in a West Coast Racers clone or mirror-image clone themed to Robin and Batgirl. Kid Flash Coaster would fit on the Thunder River island plot of land. We have the new Georgia Surfer coaster being installed in the old Splash Waterfalls area. Or a Mack Power Splash (Aquaman clone) would've been a welcomed addition. Just some thoughts.
I like the flat ride collections there too, including SkyScreamer, Log Jamboree, Thunder River, Monster Mansion, Justice League Battle For Metropolis, and a few other rides there. Still have yet to ride Pandemonium too.
I certainly miss the Wheelie ride, although I'm pleased it found new life at Fun Spot Orlando as Enterprise, and Catwoman Whip is the closest successor to the Wheelie ride.
Hopefully I may return to SFOG again soon.

1973. The Scream Machine. 1976. The Gasp.

@@mkl62 R.I.P. The Gasp. That ride made me feel brave, because I had friends who would ride The Looping Starship, but wouldn't go on The Gasp, because it was "too high". The ride operator let me ride it 5x in a row one day, because it was a slow day in the park. Good times!

@@Jaxxie1981 June 5, 1976, some of us went to Six Flags and it was PACKED! I didn't get to ride The Scream Machine, but my cousin and I rode The Gasp several times (short lines). IMO, it was at the end of the school year and I would venture to guess that many schools were making class trips. I made one to Carowinds in May 1975 with my class.
