It's slow paced, kind and beautiful. Even when I walk on "skid row", I am not afraid and if you are nice to anyone, they are nice back. Regardless of age, race, or financial standing.

Well, who told him that or what gives him that idea. Back in the 80's & 90's it was a rough part of town but this area was revamped removing bars & liquor stores. Now, 33rd Street is the new 20th Street.
I have always lived on the west side of Saskatoon in Riversdale, Pleasant Hill and Confederation. You will be fine if you are not being judgemental and portraying yourself like you are better than this community, some who are homeless and drug-addicted. Not everyone in this area is problematic. No one is perfect, everyone has a life story that has lows and highs. Nobody should be judging anyone. But I was about to hit at St. Paul Hospital Signal when and my friend I were waiting for the signal to turn green A guy sitting next to the Pharmacy said to me something while I was sitting in the car I don't know what he said to me I just raised my hand 🙌 Like him he was about to come to my car with a big iron rode I was lucky in the meantime the signal turned green otherwise he can hit my car with that rode. I lived there in that neighborhood, it's not like you think ! From what I've learned about this area ,is the Ukrainians used to run business on 19th street,and for some reason left. I read that they also packed up and left northern Saskatchewan or manitoba,and nobody knows why or where they went! I stayed there from Sept 2012 till March 1st! Then from June till Nov,in my van out by the airport,nobody gave me a hard time,except a couple of ashokes from work! The drama and fear you have in your head is not justified! A guy riding past you on a BICYCLE, is not a biker,like in the Hells angels or Outlaws, mc club! I DOUGBT anybody on 19th street is going to grab your camera!,and a lot of guys that ride big, Harvey Davidson aren't interested in you walking down the main drag through Saskatoon! I did here a few stories, and the worst habit out west is poring gas on someone you don't like or stabbing them for a cigarette! Fear mongering at its best,whered you here all the fear based stories? You can walk on young street in Toronto at 6 am and find drunks sleeping it off in doorways! Downtown Vancouver has many ppl there living on the streets,most aren't into robbing you. The sad part is no would would call me do do work while I lived at the salvation army men's shelter in Saskatoon! I lived in Pleasant hill for years. There's plenty of bad shit that happens there so people shouldn't be fooled by this video, but if I'm being honest, even as a white dude in my 20s, as long as you keep your shit to yourself, no one is really going to bother you. I had maybe 3 or 4 dangerous situations come up over that time and was always able to just walk away from the encounter. Though, I definitely would't recommend hanging out around Fire Creek, Mcdonalds, pharmasave, or On The Run in the middle of the night. Also, just to be clear for the people saying "there's no garbage it's so nice". Yes that's true, but that's the whole city. Saskatoon is one of the cleanest cities I've ever liven in or been to. They take that shit very seriously there, even in the ghetto.

You can walk on young street in Toronto at 6 am and find drunks sleeping it off in doorways! Downtown Vancouver has many ppl there living on the streets,most aren't into robbing you.

I lived in Pleasant hill for years. There's plenty of bad shit that happens there so people shouldn't be fooled by this video, but if I'm being honest, even as a white dude in my 20s, as long as you keep your shit to yourself, no one is really going to bother you.
I had maybe 3 or 4 dangerous situations come up over that time and was always able to just walk away from the encounter. Though, I definitely would't recommend hanging out around Fire Creek, Mcdonalds, pharmasave, or On The Run in the middle of the night.
Also, just to be clear for the people saying "there's no garbage it's so nice". Yes that's true, but that's the whole city. Saskatoon is one of the cleanest cities I've ever liven in or been to. They take that shit very seriously there, even in the ghetto.
Where that newer apartment complex is now used to be houses and I used to party In one of them houses 20 years ago...those were good times

This video, the guy in this video, the comments are basically half and half true. Yes this guy is a drama queen but anyone saying this part of the city is nice and not so bad. Yes it is, no its no Detroit but especially later in the evening its pretty bad and the city is of course slowly getting even worse. again its no san Francisco or the really skidrow parts of the states but people trying to really downplay are just as wrong.
I went to highschool in Saskatoon hung around some dangerous cats hung around in them bad areas back in my day it was all about respect... Not sure what its like these days im a old prick these days but had plenty of fun in Saskatoon durring my highschool days 🤙

its not only 20th street buddy it happens any where in saskatoon .. not just the west side crime happends anywhere east and south and north end of town too buddy .. and you walking around middle day time .. which very different during the day time and night trust me as someone lives in this area and yes city of saskatoon try build this area .. u make it sound like bad area .. i think there are worse parts in different cities that are way worst then this video in bigger cities

as an american this is not bad at all. Im from west virginia. People literally announce on Facebook if they hit something on the road so a family can go pick it up to eat. Thats not even the worse.
