That was absolutely fantastic! And please don't ever think your just boring us. You gave us a lot of interesting information and letting us know you're getting to take time for yourself. You always inspire me so much with your beautiful Copic work! I would love to take the class you're talking about but I don't think I'm at that level yet. Still learning my shading and placement of things! 😂😂Thank you for always taking the time out of your day to do these videos. And if you feel like a kid because you're packing your supplies (lunch box) to go out and enjoy yourself...never think that's silly. Be a kid! Enjoy it. Life's a journey...enjoy the ride!!! I can't wait to see your next videos.
You colored the fairy so beautifully! I love to watch you color. I also enjoyed listening to you talk about what’s going on in your life and some of the things you’re busy doing. I wasn’t bored at all! Thank you for sharing.
A couple things came to mind as I watched your mesmerizing video. First, the skin looked very dark until you added the hair color (contrast - your favorite!). Was so cool to watch that happen. You also asked what she might be thinking. I think it's "why am I wearing this skimpy outfit in the snow!". Your life sketching class sounds so interesting. The art guild I belong to is taking a trip to see a Van Gogh exhibit and I'm really looking forward to that. And lastly, I don't color people so I can't help with stamp/didgis suggestions. And this video was not too long! TFS
Loved watching this come together. Like a few other commenters, the face seemed dark to me initially, but I knew (because Sandy has taught us before. :)) that once the surroundings were done, that she’d be just right… and she was. I really liked what you did with the white pen on the wings to make them even more transparent. Just gorgeous. Thank you so much for all that you teach us.
Gorgeous! My favorite part is watching the transformation of the skin tones. There is so much contrast in the beginning and then like magic it gradually morphs into beautiful skin and shadows. Beautifully done, as usual. thanks!
You really got me in winter and christmas spirit and my mojo turn up many level. What a awesome collection of cards. I cant pick just one to start with. WOW, thank you so much
Love this. The wings with the gel pen is a great tip! As a person from your patreon page, I just received an awesome card from you last week 😀 thanks !
Beautiful Sandy! I have a few digi shops that I like. Moe’s Digital Pencil does realistic people images. My others are whimsical and floral images. (Whimsy Stamps, Alex Siberia, etc) It still seems strange to use all the purples on her skin and hair but it works! Love it! She looks amazing.
Beautiful coloring as always.... About the computer shutting down issue, it's often a battery issue. If you pull the battery out and try running it from the power cord only and If the problem goes away, then replace your battery. Just a thought.
Hi Sandy! I just had to write to tell you that I've been a fan from WAY back. You feel like a friend when you talk to us! And, you demonstrate & share the gift of your art! MY "nickname" for you is .... SHADING WHISPERER!! Ü You are simply amazing at coloring and ALL your incredible art talents!! I've started some "binge watching" to try to catch up more -- and I'll be heading over to Patreon!! This video SO GOOD -- REALLY enjoyed your conversation and authentic voice over sharing and some laugh -- while, of course, your gorgeous coloring!! Lots more "LIKES" and comments to come Ü . . . Thank you! Lori
Absolutely stunning coloring Sandy! I love all the class examples! I'd say if you were looking for digi people, ask Sandy Boone from Three Room Studios. she might able to draw you up something that you would need for a class. Good luck! Thanks for always encouraging us to share our creations! ~ Allison ~
I have watched you forever and am aware of the use of the purples for shading skin tones but apparently missed using purple for hair. Will definitely practice this. As always, thank you for sharing your tips and techniques!
Oh my! I love the dog draped over the snowball! So proud of you in so many ways and the associations you have been building, friendships, patrons, and the experiences you have been enjoying. May you be blessed in some unexpected ways so you are able to upgrade equipment and continuing blessing all of us with your art and life.
Sandy you always amaze me! I’m working through the Copic Jumpstart class and am learning so much. Thank you for sharing your art and teaching it in a way that we rookies can understand. I hope I am, at some point, confident enough to try Level 5 classes.
Absolutely enchanting and beautiful! I enjoyed watching this video and learned so much from it. I am a newbie to Copics, and plan to take one of your beginner classes once the craft rooms get reorganized.
Well.....I could watch your lives all day. I always try to do a project myself during the videos but it never works out because I keep rewinding to see if I miss anything!! Unity stamp company out of MN may have some options for you. Thankyou for this beautiful video!
Gorgeous coloring... I usually color images from CC Designs, Art Impressions, Colorado Craft Company, the Greeting Farm, Moe Manning, love from Lizi, Stamping Bella, Sweet Sentiment stamps... I often alter them to give them different hair.... can't wait to see what you will do... and perhaps find new vendors 🤗
I am very interested in how to colour the complexity of curly hair. Loose curls, tight curls, long or short. It does not have to be race specific. My niece is mixed and I am having trouble trying to colour her curly-q's in my art. Beautiful project, there is so much magic in this piece.
Hate watch lol. Sandy, I have been wanting to take your classes for awhile now but had to beef up my Copic collection first. Now with 99 markers and refills, I am going to hit the ground running. I just love your techniques.
This is beautiful..I will for sure check out the class..I have not played with my copics in a while just using other mediums..but it’s time to dust em off💜💜
I get mine from sweet november. They have cute fairies, animals, mermaids etc.. Hope I helped you out a little. Whimsy has cute ones too. Think at Some odd girls, Marina Fedotova and more all now by Whimsy by the way..
I own none so I’m not sure what more love I could give to them? I tried some Ohuhu at a craft event and they weren’t worth making an effort to save up my money for them.
@@SandyAllnock1 I get it. I own 254 unique Copic sketch and a dozen Ciao's I'm a fan. I've been buying a few at a time for a little over a year. But currently you can buy 120 Ohuhu brush markers for $89 they are decent quality. Ignoring a tool that has great potential to reach more people that cannot afford Copics is wrong. We are artists first. I know you have so much invested in Copic but they just expanded their color range to 320 and they're currently working on refills.
Also--there’s plenty of ppl on YT who are happy to make watercolor with koolaid. Those who want that kind of content have places to go for supply suggestions that will hamper them as artists. 🤷🏼♀️
@@SandyAllnock1 ah I didn't mean to hit a nerve. I disagree, Ohuhu's for the price point are quality art supplies. They blend nearly as good as Copics. Beginner artists just starting their marker journey can easily afford these and learn alot from them. Neither are light fast so its hillarious that you place Copic on a huge platform. I could color and blend any stamp that you have with a Ohuhu and it would look the same! 😉
I think you just need a new computer. I don’t color people but I would love to they are just a little more difficult. What you did with that purple color was awesome. I’m a have to play.
I’m mesmerized watching you color! This fairy is stunning…the way you add colors to her hair, her outfit and wings, just amazing! 💖

Amazing how you layered colors to get the hair a beautiful auburn color! Who knew the color purple would be involved. ❤️
I love watching you copic color. It’s mesmerizing.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! TFS
Very enjoyable video Sandy, both your chat and your colouring. Thank you for sharing. 😘
Gorgeous. Lots of hints from watching in real time. Thanks so much Sandy! :)
I loved watching you work... and I loved the visit! Beautiful coloring.
And thank you for coloring up this pretty girl. Love that you did this extra. So happy - I just have to do my happy dance

I love this image, and now I am gonna take the class. Thank you Sandy
So beautiful card!

You’re most welcome-thank YOU! 😍
I get my stamps from Sweet November. They have lots of diverse stamps or stamps that are easy to convert to curly or straight hair.

I love Elizabeth Bell images
Someone already said Mo"s Digital Stamps. She does an excellent job.

I think it’s interesting to listen to you “yammering “ about what’s going on in your life. It doesn’t sound like “ yammering to me at all.🙂
Beautiful..
So great!
The wings are so pretty. I’d like to try that in watercolor.

I'd like to see you give Ohuhu's more love. I love Copic but you gotta give it Ohuhu, they are in it for the long run!

Ooh, Stamp anniething have cute images, that you can use probably too. Forgot to mention that.
But Sandy, I like hand holding even if I could figure it out on my own ;)
🤣
I think you just need a new computer. I don’t color people but I would love to they are just a little more difficult. What you did with that purple color was awesome. I’m a have to play.
This is gorgeous! Could you please show how you do the background? Thank you
She mentioned that the background is from one of her advanced Coptic coloring classes.
The background is taught in the new class. 🥰
