I just love how Phantasialand manages to pack so many cool rides and theming in such a small area. All the rides are intertwined, the park feels like a maze (and that's a good thing at this park!) with stairs going up and down, winding pathways, etc. I really hope to visit this place again one of the following years, one day wasn't enough on a busy summer day to do all the rides (and Taron was down that day :( ).
That whole park has the best themes I've ever seen, and I've been to parks all over the world. Europa Park has better coasters, but Phantasialand can't be beat for atmosphere.
This is a FANTASTIC flume/water coaster! I love how many lift hills/drops there are, the reversing is awesome, theming is cute and that camelback element in the final drop is amazing!! I love this, wish we had more like this in the States.
This... This is beautiful. I honestly can't get over how much detail was put into every little aspect of this ride. It's mind blowing. I would kill to be able to take a trip to Germany specifically to ride this.. It's a stunning example of amazing ride design and complimentary theme being done right.
J S yeah I’ve been on Valhalla, at the time I hadn’t but this is still my favourite, the sheer beauty of the ride and the fast yet nicely paced nature of the ride is what I live about it, for me Valhalla is awesome and feels like the absolute classic that it is, but you can’t see the ride from the outside and there are lots of moments when the theming ends and you are left in huge blacked out rooms for ages, I feel the pacing of Chiapas is perfect
I don't get why people are saying this is a cheap Version of splash mountain and Indiana jones combined (comment below mine says that) but I think this ride is bad ass!
That is the best if not one of the best flume rides in the world. Nice themes. Nice length. Complexity with the moving rails moving you forward, backward, then forward again. Smoother lifts than I have ever seen. It even has a nice drop at the end and brings you back up. It really shows its is possible to have everything. Amazing video - wish I could go on this one.
@@user-ey9uj6vp9s This video goes over 10 in the world that they like - I like some of these (some of which I have been on). The one in the video above is amazing however. ruclips.net/video/MZdodSYiaUE/видео.html
I am amazed by the amount of jealous people in the comment section, probably because of the fact that Chiapas is way better compared to Disney's log flume's in price/quality ratio.
No splash mountain may be old but it’s still a lot of people’s favorite ride including mine I agree this log flume is one of a kind cause it is probably hard to find but still Disney cost way more money than this and trust me I’d rather spend my money on Disney and go on a bunch of rides then spend my money on this one ride splash mountain has more entertainment ,it’s more thrilling, and it uses a lot more elctricity I do not agree splash mountain is NOT overrated
Joelle Robertson splash mountain is 100% overrated. Also phantasia land is WAY better than Disney. This log flume is not only faster but it has more elements. Splash mountain is absolutely destroyed by this ride in almost every way except for animatronics. Also why would you pay money to go to phantasia land only to ride this ride? Taron, black mamba, and other rides are way better than anything Disney has to offer.
0:46 is the wettest part of the ride, the waves that slam into the boat soaked me a lot more than all the other drops combined! The best flume ride I have ever ridden. Awesome theming, surprise elements, insane final drop! I visited phantasialand yesterday (4/4/2014), very calm day at the park, all day the max waiting lines were around 0-5 minutes. With exception of chiapas, that had a 20 minute line max. Chiapas broke down too, and had to be evacuated. Luckily it opened again 2 hours later
This looks AMAZING! The layout is pretty, and the fact of a reverse log flume...this is ingenious and I really like the backwards drop view at 2:20 of its aestheticness
For those who does not know what Chiapas Means, here's a little resume of Chiapas. Chiapas is a Mexican state situated on the southern region of México, and it is the Home of Palenque and Bonampak of the biggest cities of the Mayan civilization, it is also Home of La Candona jungle which is one of the biggest lungs of Latin American Region (second place just preceded by the amazona), Home of more than 4796K people, Chiapas is a great place to live due to its natural resources, people's hospitality and beautiful beaches!.
Chiapas looks really amazing and it's very well themed. I live in Sweden near Gothenburg and Liseberg is my homepark. When i am at Liseberg i'm sometimes riding Flumeride sometimes and it's fun but it's also kinda a family ride but this looks like another level, Chiapas has an amazing theming it's pretty long and that last hill looks amazing tall and fast. I just need to visit Phantasialand some day in my life to experience all the great rides.
Went here a month after this ride opened, had no idea it was brand new at the time. Best non rollercoaster I've ever ridden. Wish I'd been at the park longer than an afternoon (residential school trip, you see)
I love the Mexican theme and the coaster itself is pretty dope, will be going to Holland in September to study, I will most definitely be checking out what Germany has to offer.
Was anyone else looking forward to the rollercoaster part seen at 0:40 only to be dissapointed? I thought this was some flume-coaster hybrid like journey to atlantis
OMG it looks like the best log flume ever ! and this park is just at two hours of my home ! I'm so lucky, I have Europa Park at one hour, Holiday Park ( expedition ge-force+ new premier ride clone of superman ultimate flight this year) and Phantasialand at two Hours :D What a great year for me !
Best one I ever did, SO much fun. And two world records too, if memory serves (highest drop and steepest drop for a water ride like this). Went on it twice yesterday, got completely soaked :-D
This one is very wet, and the seats are very tight. Did you know you can ride this in winter as well? Down to -10°C its still open. I was there last November, like 5°C, nobody was on it XD
Wow that looks like one fun adventure. I went on a log flume similar to this one at Holiday Park in Germany, but this one looks better, mainly because of that final drop haha.
Yeeahhh... finally some Phantasialand... A couple of questions... The track at 0:40 is it from the Colorado Adventure or from the Black Mamba? I went there last summer and I can't tell which one it is... And when are we gonna see some Efteling footage? It's an awesome Themepark with really nice rollercoasters??
CoasterPro Germany it’s the cheap version of splash mountain and Indiana Jones sorry to break it to ya but every single raft/log/whatever flume was was made AFTER splash mountain in the 1900s
Has this immediately become the best log flume in the world? Or second best? I love Ripsaw Falls but this is close! The fast chain lifts will hopefully become more common after this. What other log flumes are up there as the best? (links also greatly appreciated)
The theming is disney standard, tbh the whole park is nearly as good themeing as disney, only ever been to Phantasialand once, last year, and would deffo go again, although they could do with another coaster, maybe a launched?
This ride is better than it looks. I went there with school on a German trip and it was brilliant but there is lots of queues i was queuing for 3 hours to get on here but it is worth it i suppose

Once again Phantasialand's theming is on point.
the final drop took me by surprise with the air time hill
The Steepest Drop in a Log Flume!
Ik that acautly so steep
Very well themed, and I love the way that there's a rollercoaster built into the same mountain. Didn't expect it to go backwards too!
Actually the coaster is about 25 years older than the log flume ride.
ge200099 Actually it's 18 years :P
:P Yeah, I know, but it's still cool
The Loki I've never denied ;)

Have you been on Valhalla?
I. Even on Valhalla loads of times you get absolutely drenched from head to toe water is freezing you don’t try off easily.

Boogieman what does that stand for?
Joelle Robertson GENERAL PUBLIC AKA NON COASTER ENTHUSIAST.
Joelle Robertson this is not a knock off off splash mountain. This one is way more intense. And has very different theming

Hey, look @ the bright side. They're sure perfect for hot, summer days/nights.
Dana Abel that is very true
Best water ride ive ever been on.

I thought that the flume would transform in to a coaster, as shown at 0:40!
No thats the colorado adventure
+Amelia BVB Biersack I thought so too. But that little bunny hop thing was cool, so I'm content.
If you have ridden it, you'll not feel dissappointed ;) This flume is really really something good
That’s amazing!

They were on a log flume,
They were on a log flume,

That is seriously one of the best log rides, I've ever seen. So cool.
The best Waterride Worldwide! A amazing theme and a really cool drop!
Still loving that POV, but why no POV of Colorado Adventure? :-(
I absolutely love Chiapas- my favourite water ride
What an awesome ride! And what a party they are having inside the temple, with music and lasers!
I am amazed by the amount of jealous people in the comment section, probably because of the fact that Chiapas is way better compared to Disney's log flume's in price/quality ratio.
colinvanv at first Chiapas is a much more technologically advanced log flume than those at disney
I like splash mountain it’s way better and it has way more electricity and its more entertaining+thrilling
Joelle Robertson No. this ride is way more thrilling and better themed. Splash mountain is overrated compared to this one of a kind log flume.

That ride looks Awesomely FUN!!
+Shadow The Hedgehog it IS :D
And the theme is just awesomely done. The whole park is as good as that.
As the video shows, when log flumes are done well, they can be amazing rides. Looks to be a great addition to a great park.
Even though this is a roller coaster by definition, there is certainly something very serene and tranquil about the experience.
This looks AMAZING!
The layout is pretty, and the fact of a reverse log flume...this is ingenious and I really like the backwards drop view at 2:20 of its aestheticness

That was awesome. What a great ride. It had some really great theming and interesting track features.
Why Cedar Point went for shoot the rapids instead of a less themed version of this kind of ride escapes me.
The theming is really impressive, Disney level for sure, i could see a ride like this fitting well into Animal Kingdom, amazing!

This ride looks amazing, sadly I couldn’t go on it when I went on 14/08/2018 as it had technical difficulties
The Chiapas soundtrack is the best soundtrack out of all the Phantasialand rides, in my opinion.
