    there is one wrong... according to me... although ewg decrease the stability ....but in case of free radical....if it's is involved in resonance ....it is comparatively more stable ...so...para nitro benzyl free radical is more stable than benzyl free radical.

    When nitro group attach on para position of benzylic radical there will be more resonance i.e extensive resonance through the benzene ring to nitro group, but it is less stable than +I effect group attach derivative, why ?
