I am Kristin Cotts, a singer/songwriter, film composer, musical theatre writer, guitarist, pianist, and licensed professional therapist (LPC).
As a singer-songwriter, I have played solo and with my band at a wide variety of venues including the House of Blues Chicago, Mainstage, Evanston, IL, and FitzGerald's in Berwyn, IL. I have had the honor of sharing the stage with Maria Muldaur (Midnight at the Oasis) Karla Bonoff (Personally), and Shawn Phillips (guitarist for Donovan).
I have released four full-length albums: Spatial Relations, Gravity the Moon, Ghost Flower, and Uprooted, which was performed as a concert reading in Chicago. Kristin recently completed a second full-length musical called Colomba, based on the nineteenth century novel by Prosper Mérimée. My short play Unconventional was part of the 2022 Jersey City Theatre Center New Plays Festival. My play Catching Frogs was a semi-finalist in the Louisville Actors Center New Play Festial.
I have also written and produced film scores for several award winning films, including Robox (Bubba Murray), Breakfast at Ina's, and Jo (April A. Wilson).
Favorite acting roles include Golde in Fiddler on the Roof. Krissy in the The Girls of Summer, and Judge Marsha McCann in The Return of John Brown.
