So tight, so crisp - every note perfect … can’t top Jon and Ritchie singing this iconic classic - I am 61 years old and swear to God I still get goosebumps
Essa versão sensacional foi incluída no LP "Bon Jovi - In Brazil" que foi lançado aqui no nosso país em edição limitada em 1989, pra promover a vinda da banda no Hollywood Rock no início de 1990.
It's all the same, only the names will change Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away Another place where the faces are so cold I drive all night just to get back home I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days The people I meet always go their separate ways Sometimes you tell the day By the bottle that you drink And times when you're all alone all you do is think I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive Wanted (wanted) dead or alive Oh, and I ride Oh, and I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive I walk these streets A loaded six-string on my back I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back I been everywhere, still, I'm standing tall I've seen a million faces And I've rocked them all I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive And I ride, dead or alive I still drive (I still drive) dead or alive Dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive
Absolutely loving this version of it! But I should be there Richie is not playing a regular six string acoustic, that sounds like a resonator. Can anybody confirm?
@@liamconway8890 right it's definitely a 6-string to question the question is whether or not it's a resonator or a dobro. The sound is very metallic, and has an echo which suggests either of those two instruments rather than a standard 6 string guitar
It sounds very similar to a few live versions of this song acoustic. I think theyre playing smaller body acoustics, maybe with some effects? Definitely doesnt look like resonators
Open mic night every Tuesday 8:30 pm til midnight at CHAMPAGNE'S CAFE in Las Vegas 3557 Maryland Pkwy near Desert Inn road- this song I performed by Brandony... Also an awesome Gordon Lightfoot cover. Originals are also performed ...open mic is run by Mitch.. this place Rocks! FYI. It also turns into a comedy club at midnight until 3 am. No cover charge. See you there( watch traffic on the Strip- Super Bowl is coming up soon )
Jon/ and/ or Ritchie (+Zac) and Friends, we'd love to have you ..remember it's every Tuesday evening, which runs up to Virgin Hotel & casino's Open mic night on WEDNESDAY evening; that venue is quite a bit more..upscale, if you will( many more performers/ "contestants' it's also a bit more..political, but lots of fun jamming. Ian,(GM) of "Shag Room" inside the Virgin hotel, is awesome...so is Shaun the MC, although he hates me for some reason.... you're retired anyway, Jon, what else do you have planned?😎🎸🤠🚲🛴you, too Ritchie! Don't think you're getting away. Sincerely, br
Beside the single, this version was released here in Brazil on a limited album called" Bon Jovi in Brazil" in late 1989, to promote their upcoming shows here in early 1990.

Without doubt the best version of this song
It's all the same, only the names will change
Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I drive all night just to get back home
I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
The people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you're all alone all you do is think
I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
Wanted (wanted) dead or alive
Oh, and I ride
Oh, and I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
I walk these streets
A loaded six-string on my back
I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still, I'm standing tall
I've seen a million faces
And I've rocked them all
I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
And I ride, dead or alive
I still drive (I still drive) dead or alive
Dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive
Jon e Richie estavam inspirados neste dia.

Definitely my fave version of this one. Anyone have a guitar tab for it, mainly what Richie plays.

Which album is this version on?
This song was released as part of a single release. Vinyl and cassette only, I believe. There were a number of different versions of the song on it.
