I do love the fact that it's more brutal and gives a dark dungeon esque anime atmosphere. It gives the vibes of arknights IS(insert number here) storyline but doesn't shy away from the character's deaths by using text boxes or other means, but by showing you the consequences of your actions regardless of how far you've made it. What I wonder about the game is, "what will you bring new to the table?". Yes you can bring horror and game play into the table, but what I really want to see is how much can they keep us hooked into the game after we get use to the horror stuff in the game? Regardless, I am definitely going to play it. I wanna see the game succeed...
I'm pretty excited for this game as I already play a game similar to it. On Steam there is a free gacha game called Morimens. It is also card based where each character has 5 cards with teams of 4 making your deck 20 cards (which can be manipulated to some degree). Has 1 team health bar just like shown in Chaos. Has energy system similar to Slay the Spire. 4 factions and each faction has a different faction mechanic. It doesn't have the stress mechanic that Chaos showed though. If anyone wants to try something similar I would give it a shot (it is free after all). I'm looking forward to adding Chaos to my list of dailies.
I personally think that it's not go back in time but that the characters control something similar to a 'copy' of their own body and even if they experience death on that planet, they won't remember that pain because they "have the ability to forget" and "are blesses with oblivion". When they die, their Sync with their copies fails and they wake up on the ship or whatever
Kinda worried about artstyle - characters are too much chibi. In Limbus Company at very least you can tell that there's grown ass men and woman on your battlefield.
As some that has been very lazy to jump on the Limbus Company train since it's been out for a very long time, I'm very excited for a new game that seems to have some similarities!
