Thanks for your question. Considering your situation I would suggest to continue your degree and don’t feel bad. Continue your current course. After graduation, think about pursuing higher studies maybe from a private university as a part time student while looking for job. If you are keen to undertake research degree, then try to get some research publications during your bachelor degree. You are still very young, so you have plenty of time to explore opportunities.

Thanks for your question. I advise everyone to first decide on which field you want to go to. It’s not much about the institution but more about the subjects you will be studying. Would you enjoy studying dental or any other courses? How do you want to see yourself in future? The educational institution only plays a part in your journey. Look I suggest students to study what they are passionate about. If you are interested about Business and commerce then study BBA. If you are interested to remain in the Pharmaceutical industry then study Pharmacy Biology etc. both field has job prospect for those who can build their profile.

As far as I know if you meet the eligibility criteria then you do not need to take any non-credit course. And typically the non-credit courses are required after you have been accepted for a course. But I’d suggest checking with the department office as each department has some specific requirements.

These are all mid range universities and almost similar in terms of reputation. Chose something where the fees is reasonable, has work integrated learning opportunities and affilIation with foreign universities.

Sir, Maximum people are telling that Job opportunity of Biotechnology are not available in BD. My family members are suggesting me to take Pharmacy as jobs are available. I am really confused between Pharmacy and Biotechnology. I passed HSC 21 and already allowed for Biotechnology in admission test at Brac & NSU. Thanks for asking my advice. I am suggesting purely based on my perception. Biotechnology is a more advanced field of knowledge and covers many other subjects which will build a strong foundation in you and make you employable for multiple industries. Whereas, Pharmacy is an old subject with typical job patterns which will limit your choices. I think there are lots of opportunities for Biotechnology in BD these days. Furthermore, you can pursue career as an academic as well. So I suggest that do not waste time and get started with Biotechnology. This will be a better decision. But again, leaving the decision to you and your family! Good luck!!!

I think Genetic Engineering is an emerging field with lots of potential, especially abroad. But Pharmacy will be useful if you are planning to stay in Bangladesh and remain only within this industry.

Sorry I do not have the course specific admission information. I would keep Biotechnology as my first choice as I think it had wider opportunities overseas. Pharmacy has good potential in Bangladesh though. You may think about higher studies overseas after your bachelor degree.

BRACU NSU both are good options. I’d say BRACU as it is country’s top as a research focused university.

Hello sir so I've passed my ssc with 93% marks and I'm planning to get 95%+ in my hsc and I'm going to study in Singapore(Nanyang technological uni) I'm thinking of taking biotechnology as my major do you think it will be a good decision?
I think biotechnology would be a great choice. You already have good results which will give you added benefits.

Thanks for your question. I advise everyone to first decide on which field you want to go to. It’s not much about the institution but more about the subjects you will be studying. Would you enjoy studying dental or any other courses? How do you want to see yourself in future? The educational institution only plays a part in your journey. Look you have decide whether you want to become a coding genius or a pharmacist. I think the world is going to be dominated by coders. CSE will equip you with that skill and you can build exciting apps, websites, games etc. but having said that pharmacist are also saving lives in the society. So it really depends on you. Look I suggest students to study what they are passionate about. If you are interested about Business and commerce then study BBA. If you are interested to remain in the Pharmaceutical industry then study Pharmacy Biology etc. both field has job prospect for those who can build their profile.

As far as I know if you meet the eligibility criteria then you do not need to take any non-credit course. And typically the non-credit courses are required after you have been accepted for a course. But I’d suggest checking with the department office as each department has some specific requirements.

These are all mid range universities and almost similar in terms of reputation. Chose something where the fees is reasonable, has work integrated learning opportunities and affilIation with foreign universities.

Sir, Maximum people are telling that Job opportunity of Biotechnology are not available in BD. My family members are suggesting me to take Pharmacy as jobs are available. Biotechnology is a more advanced field of knowledge and covers many other subjects which will build a strong foundation in you and make you employable for multiple industries.
Whereas, Pharmacy is an old subject with typical job patterns which will limit your choices.
I think there are lots of opportunities for Biotechnology in BD these days. Furthermore, you can pursue career as an academic as well. So I suggest that do not waste time and get started with Biotechnology. This will be a better decision.

Sorry I do not have the course specific admission information. I would keep Biotechnology as my first choice as I think it had wider opportunities overseas. Pharmacy has good potential in Bangladesh though. You may think about higher studies overseas after your bachelor degree.
