- Hello everybody. Welcome to another video made by the "special" mind of myself.
This video was originally meant to be an intro to a video of me and my friends playing Test Pilots in VRChat (although I play on Desktop) however I decided to make this its own video considering how long of an intro it is. I didn't plan the video to be a parody of the meme so many lines are very scuffed because me and my friends were just memeing, there's also very few of us so everyone does sort of sound the same.
I didn't list down all the sources so I don't have all the credits but I will mention what I'm personally responsible for.
All voice lines (except the very first voice line which is from the original meme) are by me and my friends.
• Editing the video and creating the thumbnail.
• Creating the "Top Gun: Maniac" logo at the end of the video.

What makes it even better is the people in the recordings holding back their laughter.
We weren't even meant to parody it. We were just memeing in a VRChat test pilots game. I wish I had included more audio clips when making the video but I'm glad the laughing didnt take away from it being funny.

Yeah those callsigns is based on stupid story of the pilot like:
Ceberus: drunk and headshot 3 dog
Maverick: came from Dallas and DI is really into basketball.
Mobius: Strips a little too eagerly for medical examinations for anyone's comfort.
Trigger: Has no trigger discipline with almost every weapon.

How did you edit the voices?
Seriously I've been trying to make my own parody of All Callsigns, Check In, but I've never been able to replicate that aircraft radio quality.
I can't remember. Some video editing software have presets while others you have to do it manually with EQs and stuff. Basically you can just google youtube tutorials on how to do it. The video editor I use is Davinci Resolve, although the most flexible free audio editing software I know of is Audacity, which probably also has a tutorial on how to do a radio effect. Sorry I couldn't exactly tell you how to do it but hopefully you'll figure it out. I'd love to see your parody.
@@bulbousfungus I've tried doing the EQ and even iZotope Vinyl strategy, but it sounds closer to a BBC 1930's radio than a modern aircraft radio.
If you're still looking for this, you can use Audacity and use Filter Curve over your recording
It'll have a preset for a phone, which sounds similar to this
