Paperfellas are eating good today. My favorite part of the info is learning about the blue pipes being grouoed together now, making the chase for General White much more easier.
They've met all my expectations, gone beyond them and there most certainly still is more that we don't know, can't wait to play this incredible (both in quality and me not being able to believe it's actually happening to this day) remake of one of my favorite games of all time and looking forward to the future of the Paper Mario series as this is exactly what I meant when I mentioned combining the best aspects of both older and newer games, would love to see a new game that further built on it!
18:26 The title screen actually changes with each party member you gain. It starts out with just Mario when you’re starting a brand new file, but once you obtain all the partners, all of the partners show up with Mario on the title screen.
I had checked the trailer and the previews, and I loved how the characters are more expressive now. General White actually looks depressed instead of just having a blank expression.
Hello, Supreme Mario Teenathan. You may remember me from various Twitter comments, as well as one particular comment on a, frankly, ancient video of yours, "Why Paper Mario Refuses To Change". To tell you the truth, I wasn't the biggest fan of it. I understood what you were saying, what the point of the video was, and what you wanted out of the series. I just disagreed in a few places. Paper Mario changed, yes, but I felt that these changes barely affected the enjoyment I had when playing them. When I was around eleven years old, I was going through a pretty tough time in my family. It was probably the first time I felt depressed. But, in came a little game called Paper Mario Color Splash, and it put such a big smile on my face that it is still one of my favorite games in the series. So much charm and love was put into the game, and Origami King only had more. The modern games mean a lot to me, and while I understand the flaws of them, It doesn't deviate from how much fun I had playing them. I could tell the developers of these games put their heart and soul into Color Splash and Origami King, and to find out they weren't very beloved must have been awful for them to hear. And now, we're back. Paper Mario has changed. And... I'm excited! It's clear to me that these devs don't just want to make that same Gamecube game you all grew up with all those years ago, they want to build off of it and make it an even better experience for both old players and new ones. So, I just wanted to say, sorry if I was a little defensive about Paper Mario, back then. I really do hope you enjoy remake game just as much as I will. ☺️
Here’s a nitpick that I saw. When you get a BINGO on the poison mushroom instead of taking away half your HP, FP, and SP like the original it takes away 1/3 of it on the remake
Y’know what? I’d say that’s good because I honestly hated how much you’re punished from the Poison Mushroom slot BINGO through pure RNG and through no fault of your own in the original. Nerfing it a little feels less bullshit while still feeling like you’re punished a bit, but not to the point of it feeling unfair.
@@Oscar-Guzman The title screen evolves the more party members that join you meaning that once you gain all party members, they will all be with Mario on the title screen.

i love the da vinky energy of the narrator in the trailer also the art gallery is an amazing idea game design wise because it shows concept art for the area once youve collected every star piece in it, so youll know which areas youve completed based on which ones have art
I don't know if you're gonna read this but i want to give you more information about the new concept art gallery because it looks like that it's gonna be including concept art from the original TTYD. The reason is because the concept art that was shown in the overview trailer (the one with doopliss and flurrie) is from 2003. It's was in the dooplis side below the square text, there is a year, month, and date when concept art was made.
The Rogueport remix sounds terrible imo. That trumpet sounds awful. Also I heard the game is 30fps which is really disappointing and they changed a lot of the charming dialogue. Idk I'm kinda losing hype for this.
@@imjustalittleqwerty Oh I forgot I made this comment. Tbh I actually changed my mind. I got kinda hung up on the framerate but honestly I never had an issue with 30fps before and usually don't make a fuss over it. I guess it was just for TTYD specifically because it means it won't feel as fluid as I fondly remember. But then I saw more trailers and literally everything else looks way better and aside from Rogueport everything also sounds better too. The UI also looks improved. Plus it's Nintendo and their 30fps always looks so good compared to say, Elden Ring or Sonic Frontiers at 30fps. So I changed my mind and pre-ordered the game on the eShop again after having cancelled it earlier. I still don't like this Rogueport song tho lol but eh it's just one song and maybe it will grow on me.
best of luck with your irl situation. its like you said, you know you can do it and with a brand new game releasing soon the videos will practically make themselves. im sure you have a handful of ideas for when the game is actually out. can’t wait to see them
It would be crazy if they utilized some kind of online system where you can give newbies hints like in MARIO WONDER or if you were able to send struggling players little gifts distributed by the audience. I know it’s unlikely but I just feel like they’re going to incorporate some kind of online gimmick
Was kind of hoping for a hard mode like how modders have already done with older paper mario games (enemies have more health, higher damage output making some aspects more strategic in how you go about battling etc). Something else that isn't really necessary but I would love to see is some kind of failure cutscene if you choose to forfeit to [SPOILER] in the end game, and show how dark and twisted the world gets in that alternate timeline. At the very least, I hope they play the special animation that the japanese version gets when you submit and serve the [SPOILER], it's way creepier playing the hooded ghost's hunched over mario animation. It seems like so far, it's been translated so faithfully from the japanese gamecube version, so here's hoping that animation makes the cut, and the toad outline in the rougeport back alley as well.
One More month and my GameCube is starting to not work properly on me….this game is coming at the right time for me. It’s one of the few games I still play on the GameCube. The only three games I still own that will likely not get anything for it will be the 2 Pokémon Coliseums (maybe someday) and Yu-Gi-ahh Falsebound Kingdom (won’t even hold my breath for a Re-Release/Remaster/Remake).
