Just got the same exact phone today, 256gb 15 Pro I upgraded from the iPhone 12 mini so the 120hz is a big game changer for me especially, and the battery too. I do miss the size of the 12 mini, but it feels light for what it is so I feel comfortable using it/putting it in my pocket.

I have 512GB 15 Pro Max in white titanium I love it!!! I have it since Sept 27th I have no complaints very light, love the camera features, USB Type C a game changer for me and battery life have been great😁
I got the 15 Pro Max in blue titanium 256GB, and so far it’s been a good experience. I know blue titanium is a finger print magnet, but I’m a sucker for blue lol. As far as battery life it’s been great even better than my last phone 14 Pro Max. I did not experience the battery heat that others were reporting. So far it’s been a great experience

Went from 13 pro max to 15pro black. So happy I switched to the smaller iPhones, so far battery has been respectable but I switch between low power modes sometimes
I went into the Apple Store today trying to decide between black and natural titanium. Came out debating between white and titanium lol.😅 I think you’ve sold me on the white tho. It’s not stark which I dislike but a pearlescent. I was really blown away by how beautiful it looked in person.
I preferred the 14 pro silver pure white. When you compare the 15 to the 14, this looks yellow. Got the black titanium and not worried for finger prints since i use a case and I love it.

Its terrible that Apple didn’t want to switch to usbc. That tells you they dont care to give us the best. Its all about the money. They stopped including headphones & the charger but they still wanted us to keep buying the charger from them ?! So glad they made Apple switch to usbc

And maybe what accessories you used etc. I went with the blue colour and the fingerprint issue isn’t as bad as the preview videos showed. I guess it depends on how oily your fingers are.
Battery is complex. It takes time for the phone to adjust to your usage patterns. Once it learns that, you’ll see a lot better battery life. Happened to me with my 14 pro max. Now i can easily end my day with a comfy 35-40%
I hope you’re right. I’m thinking of getting the iPhone 15 pro but I’ve seen a lot of people saying that the battery isn’t that good and especially compared to the iPhone 15 (regular) but now I think it’s because it’s a new phone that hasn’t learnt yet
I also got the iPhone 15 Pro and am very happy with it. But I also do think that no average Mom or Dad needs that phone. I just got it, as I got tired to carry my Camera with me every time that I went to visit a nice place. Especially after getting an iPhone 12 2 years ago, I was most of the time leaving the Camera at home... So, this was more an investment into my hobby. But if you don't use it to record videos, shoot photos on a regular basis... Or play super demanding 3D-Games, there is NO reason, like NO reason whatsoever to recommend an iPhone 15 Pro over a normal iPhone. I would even go so far and say, for the most part, I don't notice a big difference in day to day usage to my iPhone 12 non Pro.

And if I have to pay additional 900 Euros only for a better panel, a better Camera that's not utilized by most people anyway and USB-C... I kind of would feel like a clown recommending that phone over an used iPhone 12..That is readily available for around 250 to 300 Euros used.

I’m also looking forward to the 2000 nit outdoor screen brightness (up from 1200 nit), since I sometimes have trouble seeing the display outside.
Shortcuts really aren’t that complicated. You can use very simple ones. Also in the camera app you can use HEIF max that uses 48mp and the file size is only around 5mb.
They don't have to ve complicated but if they're inconvenient to set up, most people won't do it, which is what he's saying. The high school kids with this phone will use it for their camera. The grandpa's and grandma's will keep it to mute because they aren't changing settings. And the vast majority of everyone in between will pick one of those 2, or the flashlight lol.
I never got to compare my white 13 pro against a white 15 pro (I got natural). I feel like the 13 Pro rear glass was very similar, if not the same--but the camera island/bump def looks nicer on the 15 pro. I almost purely got mine because of the non-glossy sides. The 15 pro is way better to use without a case

I agree with the action button review. At first i was like it would be useful coz i thought you can long press, single or double press so you can set a bunch of shortcuts. But with just long press, i would really just prefer if to be silent/ring shortcut cause i need it more than a shortcut to turn off my lights etc. I almost want the slider back.
One long press can still do a lot of things at once depending on factors like: your location, time of the day, focus mode and even device orientation. This button is very powerful if you know how to use it. Personally I got it set to do 6 different things depending on phone orientation. Yes, all this with long button press.

I’ve got the action button to take a screenshot. This one seems so obvious it should have been already in apples list of presets. Volume up and power button press always seem like such an afterthought and clumsy implementation to me. What I’m most surprised with is how much a difference the ever so slightly curved edges have drastically improved the phones feel in the hand. That nice smooth feeling from swiping the edges of the display are back.

There are several options for the action button that don't involve setting up a shortcut (or to be tech savy) that are presented to you when you set up the phone. Probably the most common that people will use is to set it up to turn on camera. I'll use it to turn on flashlight.
128 should be enough tbh, I personally save my photos on my PC and on Telegram private channels, uploading them as files, that way they don't get compressed and I don't even need iCloud
I chose a 15 Pro with 256 GB in natural titanium because any scratches on the edges would not show as much as with the blue or black options. Scratches appear as raw titanium in colour.
I got exactly same phone. No scratches on the edges. But two scratches on the display already despite handling it like an egg. First scratch has developed when I was wiping the screen with soft cloth. So yea, screendisplay is very easy to scratch.

I've mainly used standard form factor iPhones. I know the functionality of Plus or Pro max is better, but for me, a smartphone is like a remote controller. A controller used to open a car, turn on a house light, or pay. So easy control and access to the screen are more important than other functions. I like the very down-to-earth style of your review! Keep up the good work Bryan! I switched back to iPhone 15 pro after using the Flip 4 for a year and I think the iPhone does its job. I'm overall happy with it - except perhaps better battery life span. If I speak on the phone for an hour, and then have a video call for another hour plus some normal Instagram checking + emailing, it can barely last a day... I do play some games a bit but it's not though very demanding action games. Other than that, I'm fine with this phone. The Galaxy Flip 4 was a fun phone to use too, just that my screen protector got peeled off twice and I started freaking out because you no longer get free replacement from Samsung...
I've had the flip 3 since it came out. I haven't used a screen protector for over a year and a half lol. No scratches or anything. It's out of warranty anyway and it's fine. That was a bad reason to switch, especially after only having the phone for 1 year.
I completely disagree with the idea of creating a shortcut for action button to be looked at as a bad thing for consumers. Remember the phone is a ‘pro’ phone. It’s for the pros. Either they are able to create an action, learn how to make one with reasonable ease or they shouldn’t complain. After all, if they don’t know then it can’t hurt them.
Battery life, specifically in the 15 pro is a step backwards. If you want battery and are already coming from 12 pro max then you should get the pro max. 15 pro max outperforms every iPhone ever. Unless you find the size tedious after all this time. I’ve been using my 12 pro max for 3 years now and i could never go back to smaller.
I would rather buy a pre-owned refurbished iPhone 7 from 2016 than waste over a $1000 on a phone. No matter how good looking and new that phone is. That price is a turn off.
I haven't done anything with my action button. I am not interested in those HUGE Pro Rez files. They should compress those RAW files. My Nikon D850 are smaller RAW files. I just like having a good camera in my pocket when I am not dragging my big DSLR around.
the same people who complain about finger prints are the same people who never wash their hands, eat KFC out the bucket and pick there nose. I seen the Blue one and held it and didnt find fingerpirnts to be that bad.

I could somewhat see that cause the camera design is the same and the Dynamic Island, but in actual S years they didn't change the build.

I thought the camera would be a good button, but since it’s on the Lock Screen (and silence isn’t) it just wasn’t convenient :/
On my SE 3 i have it set to turn on the flashlight or cam when I tap the back of the phone more than once . Can you still do that with the pro?

The camera bump is actually the exact same size than in the 14 pro's since it literally uses the same 3 sensors.

White titanium back had some ugly weird off-white vanilla sheen to it when viewed direct under sunlight. I didnt like it. Hope it worked for you.

Going from a 11 to a 12 is a big step so yes you will definitely notice a huge difference if you jump to the 15

I like the very down-to-earth style of your review! Keep up the good work Bryan! I switched back to iPhone 15 pro after using the Flip 4 for a year and I think the iPhone does its job. I'm overall happy with it - except perhaps better battery life span. If I speak on the phone for an hour, and then have a video call for another hour plus some normal Instagram checking + emailing, it can barely last a day... I do play some games a bit but it's not though very demanding action games. Other than that, I'm fine with this phone. The Galaxy Flip 4 was a fun phone to use too, just that my screen protector got peeled off twice and I started freaking out because you no longer get free replacement from Samsung...
I've had the flip 3 since it came out. I haven't used a screen protector for over a year and a half lol. No scratches or anything. It's out of warranty anyway and it's fine. That was a bad reason to switch, especially after only having the phone for 1 year.
My action button is set to open the flashlight bcs for some reason I find myself needing the flash light multiple times a day

I completely disagree with the idea of creating a shortcut for action button to be looked at as a bad thing for consumers. Remember the phone is a ‘pro’ phone. It’s for the pros. Either they are able to create an action, learn how to make one with reasonable ease or they shouldn’t complain. After all, if they don’t know then it can’t hurt them.
The camera bump is a bit smaller than last year since the camera sizes are the same and the phone itself is a tiny bit thicker than last year

Apple calls 14 pro silver while it is white and calls 15 pro “white” while it is clearly silver.
What if the frame of the white titanium model get scratches? Is there a coating on it and will the color beneath be darker? I'm not sure about that.
does your 15 pro drains battery too quick ? it does drain to even if i just put it on sleep. my 14 plus doesnt do that

Should I go from 12 pro max to 15 pro if I’m concerned about battery life or is the battery life on the normal pros a good amount?
Battery life, specifically in the 15 pro is a step backwards. If you want battery and are already coming from 12 pro max then you should get the pro max. 15 pro max outperforms every iPhone ever. Unless you find the size tedious after all this time. I’ve been using my 12 pro max for 3 years now and i could never go back to smaller.

I would rather buy a pre-owned refurbished iPhone 7 from 2016 than waste over a $1000 on a phone. No matter how good looking and new that phone is. That price is a turn off.
I haven't done anything with my action button. I am not interested in those HUGE Pro Rez files. They should compress those RAW files. My Nikon D850 are smaller RAW files. I just like having a good camera in my pocket when I am not dragging my big DSLR around.
It got small usb c drives my guy and yes if ur photographer or some RUclips content creator pro res would be useful for casuals nah

the same people who complain about finger prints are the same people who never wash their hands, eat KFC out the bucket and pick there nose. I seen the Blue one and held it and didnt find fingerpirnts to be that bad.

@@Young_squeeze 6000 photos on my phone. The zoom is soooo much better. We went to a concert and had shitty seats, the Pro Max zoom saved the day. Wish I can post pics in the comments.
