- This Shirt cake is easy to make because I used TEMPLATE ! You surely can make it too.. and the result is a very neat shirt cake.
For celebrating Father's Day, I made this Shirt and Tie fondant cake, or you can make it too as a Daddy's birthday cake.
My cake in the video is 20cm in diameter, and you can download the template here ( collar, tie, pocket etc) :

Print it in A4 paper with narrow margin. I made a ruler in the template so that can be adjusted to the real size.

Brilliant, so very very neat. Quick question. We are having particularly hot weather at the moment probably not compared with where you are. Do you have any tips for keeping your fondant cakes from getting soft in the heat? It's not so bad in my house as I have a cool cellar but travelling with them gets a bit difficult with the hot weather.

Thank you Kelly 🥰 if you travel by car, put the cake in the back seat and turn on the air conditioner. just don't get direct sunlight .. if outside the room, the cake is put in a closed box. in my opinion, the melted fondant is because the melted cream underneath .. so to cover fondant cake is better to use buttercream than whipcream or ganache, because buttercream is more stable at slightly warmer temperatures than whipcream or ganache.. hope you don't get bored reading my long explanation LOL 🤣🤣

Hi! To full cover the cake must it use cmc powder on fondant or just for the upper decoration fondant only? Because for decoration i always use cmc powder to stay dry.
Hi Sukanya 😊 For covering cakes, I dont use cmc.. cmc is just for making fondant toppers.. Make the fondant for covering the cake thick (5-7mm), so it will not break down easily..
