  • Tobias Vestner, Head of Security and Law Programme, discusses with Maj Gen (retd) Blaise Cathcart what are the current challenges faced by legal advisors and what is the best strategy to convince leaders, but also future lawyers, that complying with the law on the use of force is both right and smart. Maj Gen (retd) Cathcart, former Judge Advocate General of the Canadian Armed Forces, was at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy as a speaker for the ‘Legal Dimensions of Contemporary and Future Use of Force’ course.
