I love how even at the end, the reel is not advancing when the model is pulling the lever. A truly authentic ViewMaster experience.

    Hello Tim,
Your right, a lower price would allow more people to purchase this unique gift idea. Since we manufacture everything here in the USA and not off-shore where very low wages and poor quality manufacturing allows for lower costing this is unfortunately not the case. We have found however that we do get very, very few price objections. Since this is a custom, one of a kind, personal reel and viewer made with your own photos the idea had caught on. In the past few years we have sold over 165,000 reels all with individuals photos. It is a personal way to share vacations, weddings, anniversaries, or just to say "I Love You"

I wish the scanning technology was capable of higher resolution on the discs, closer to what we had with the old viewmaster technology, because of how much cheaper this is to produce a custom reel, even just one, at Image3d.
I've ordered before and loved the results, using digital images from a Fuji W1. Just wish the resolution dpi could be higher. The ability to easily put titles that float in the 3D window is really nice too.

image3D is not real 3D. For the 3D effect you need slightly different photo for the left eye and for the right eye. That causes the 3D effect when you look through the viewer.

I get using this as a marketing took but for a non-corporate person to make this as a gift is waaaay too expensive. The most I'd pay per reel is 10$. And that's per reel with different photos on each reel. What you guys are asking is just too expensive for someone to make as an anniversary gift. If I wanted to make a gift with 4 reels it would cost 80$. For that price I can make a photobook and still have money to take her out to a nice dinner. You guys really need to lower your prices in order to broaden your sales to other people. Younger people can't afford to buy things like this for their girlfriends or family as a gift. The lower your prices are the broader the demographic is. I'd make something like this for Mother's Day for my mom but i can't spend that kind of money to make a personal viewfinder. For that money I'd make her a nice photobook with tons of pictures. Just a suggestion from a would be customer if the prices were lower.
