Thank you for this video! I attempted making this twice. I’m really happy with how the second one turned out but I didn’t use veg tanned leather so I need to add a button or something to hold the flap down! I just ordered veg tanned leather so I will give this one another try and attempt the other AirPod cases you made! I am SO grateful for your RUclips channel. It’s giving me so much motivation to try making new things :) thank you thank you thank you!! :)

ok, THAT'S IT! I'm buying my leather making tools from Weaver now as we speak!
THIS IS AWESOME! I have been watching leather working videos for some time now and it looks fun and easy ( I feel like I can pick it up fairly quickly ) and I have always wanted to start so I can make myself wallets and things of that sort. I recenly got an apple watch and since there are hardly any bands for my wrist size I thought about making my own and started watching videos. Now I suddenly got the urge to watch more videos and I though " HEY, if I can make an Apple watch band, I can probably make an AirPods case!" and BOOM! This video has officially been the catalyst for me to start my leather crafting adventure !
Beautiful craftsmanship, very relaxing music, and a very good job. I prefer silicon cases, but I love a good leather work.

I don't even have airpods or intend to buy them. I came to watch the leather bending technique and stayed for the satisfying esthetic of the craft.
Also I think I am addicted to crafting. I just started to sew, and can't help to wish, that I could start with leather craft next. Dang I need a workshop for all my hobbies by now.

@@HahnsAtelier Thank you. Jep , my Computer Desk/workbench/storage place is super messy as well. I just transfered my sewing in the coffee table/planting table in the living room XD. With luck, this is where future leatherwork would be done. How does the saying go? A genious rules over the chaos 😂.

Wouldn't the leather hinge eventually start to tear because the of the opening and closing? Great video thumbs upped and subbed!
leather can last a really long time if you take care of it, so like leather moisturizer could prevent it

I’ve attempted this a few times and the issue I’m having repeats, the lid doesn’t want to stay on, it slides off, input or thoughts?
Cut slightly lower would be fine :) or you can use 3M sticker in it. Just an idea. Hope you solving this!

Came out great! One thing I noticed though is the airpods don't look like they can open all the way. Maybe this could be remedied by carving a few grooves on the inside of the bend.
