Good and fair review, Rick. Wife and I came from an 8 years old Cardo Scala G9 comm unit. Requirements were easy operations, camera, latest technology and half helmet compatibility. As she rides a 2014 Spyder RTS and I a 2020 FLHTP, we decided to go for the Sena 50C (rather than the HD version). First thing that we realized is how good the quality of the HK speakers is . Really like you are talking f2f to each other . The half helmet setup worked seamless for me and wind noise or outside sounds are no issue. Mics are sensitive. Taking phone calls works great. I get notified on my TomTom Rider 550 and can accept or dismiss the call there . Camera quality is better than I expected. At times the picture seems to be a little unstable when moving the head too fast but other than that, meets our requirements. I love that I can have the unit connected to a battery pack to charge it while in use. Makes the SD card the limiting factor for recording. The only downside I found is that the loudspeaker connector sits very tight in the unit which is a pain in the back to remove (I really thought I break it) when shifting the head unit to a second and third helmet. Other than that I agree to your review, well spent money. Buying a GoPro and comm system requires compromise of some sort to make things work, like conversation recording while filming, or phone calls recording . The Sena 50C brings all of these features natively to the table and more . Ride safe 🤙

It’s a great audio setup except I can’t hear the bikes. Definitely sounds good 👌 In the past I’ve had people tell me they preferred the sound of the bikes over the music but I guess everyone is different
Yes. If I want the bike to come through I have to use my other set up. The noise cancelation is almost too good in this unit. But it's great when I take a phone call or I'm talking to the group via mesh. Thanks Greg.

We have the HD branded Sena 50S...with the WHIM connection. Starting to get use to it now...had it for 6 months. It wasn't has seamless as I had hoped...but getting it figured out now!...the 50S locks very well to the helmet mount...there is a little silver button you push to unlock....great video...thanks for sharing...stay safe....ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦

I have the SENA Expand for my half-helmet and love it. The only thing is no mesh and cannot only connect to a group of four. Still great for connecting to my phone and Garmin GPS.

Great video. Do not really see a reason to get rid of the 10c Evo. I really like the audio on the 10c Evo. Glad that is still carried over. I was hoping for more of a camera upgrade. Maybe my 10c Evo for another year.

I subscribed and I have a question. I have the Whim installed and i understood that you can use voice commands to turn the Recording on and Off can you explain with the 50C the Camera Button is not very accessible or do you need to have your Phone handlebar mounted to remotely operate the Camera? I have relocated the USB for the phone to my Saddlebag. :(
