It's Amazing how this series started off as a lacking and mediocre budget title kart racer, then the devs took the problems people had with the previous game to heart and fixed them. Now with nkr 3 they've pretty much addressed ALL the problems these Nick kart racing games and Nick games in general have. From balancing rosters to having actual voices, all that's missing is a full on story mode involving these characters akin to a reboot of the nicktoons unite series.
This is the worst kart racing game ever. The handling is 💩 you can't see what's coming up the view is beyond trash. Using the r button to drive is beyond dunce.

I really don't get how they could axe Tommy and Angelica, two of the most influential Nick characters ever, but keep Chuckie, Susie, and add characters like Squidina and a bunch of alts that take up slots. Also, are Nickelodeon still salty about the Angry Beavers finale? I don't see why else the beavers haven't had any major appearance in crossover games since the Nicktoons Racing releases.
Viacom owns those characters is why.... they added them to the original shows roster and licensing. This much I know for a fact as I've spoken to the family that does own the rights. No one is even trying to utilize it...first thing they did do was the reboot and they sold it off to a 3rd party studio. 🤔 how did that go....mind you was their kids vision of the show...😅 Epic fail😂
The kids are old now too but they went for a hippy weird approach too much focus on the kids....wonder why....😅 The son Tommy is based on had a ton of say in the show. And that's what he helped create now as he himself is old. Weird and I doubt any long time fans enjoyed it.
Unlocks are paced like a free to play game. I can’t believe how much it takes to get characters who should already be given, then some who are like god tier.
On the subject on voice acting in racing games, I found it odd that in Nicktoons Nitro Tom Kenny was not only the only VA to reprise his role as SpongeBob but also played the one off villain Lord Nitro. I know SpongeBob is the most popular Nicktoon but still. Also in the end credits there is a "random thanks" to Scott Pilgrim.
Tom Kenny may have already recorded those lines for a previous title and it was purchased. Or if he did record a new take guys thinking of his retirement or his kids amusement as this is a game for wide audience. Tom Kenny is a legend in vocal talent for vocals. I mean he carried how many episodes of how many tv shows. He's been game characters and in tv shows as support characters for some of the biggest and best. Plus look at his spongebob episodes that he near solos. That's talent 👏 it helped make all of our days a little better each time we heard him. Now the guy who did the live version of sponge Bob 😆 🤣 never again please. Plus Tom Kenny does patchy.... those episodes man brutal needed in so many spots in 1 work. He deserves more praise than we can give the man. 🎉 Anyone who says voice acting is easy....look at his work 😅think again. No amount of money could prepare or get someone to that standard of good ever. That's a love for the art and for comedy.
Nobody saw coming the fact that they would include those "controversial shows" called Kamp Koral and The Patrick Star Show some representation in the game
Interestingly enough, this game is notable since it was Janet Varney's final time voicing Korra. As she would later on step down from the role, since she felt that a white person shouldn't voice a person of color.
I really hope in future with these Nicktoons crossover games that they start including more characters from other shows the rosters in these game feel a bit too similar Purple Reptar and Camper Spongebob & Patrick could've easily been replaced by other characters from other shows that haven't gotten much representation. Other than that I think the roster size here is good I wish I could at least try this game out to decide if I'd like it or not.
Another thing I was able to notice about "Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway" is the fact that the version of the Ninja Turtles that appear in the game are the ones from the 1987 cartoon series, since the first and second games actually featured the 2012 cartoon versions of them, and I think this was due to the popularity of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge" that came out prior to the game's release, especially since they were even able to get the original voice actors to play their characters once again, which definitely made me happy the first time I played it. ^^
It’s a solid game, I’m hoping for like free DLC updates where they could put in Manny, Timmy and Dudley into the game. But I’m really excited for Disney SpeedStorm, it looks so good.
Maybe BUT only in waves or something like that, but i STRONGLY dont see Pit Crew characters being upgraded as playable since this feature feels very much like Assist Trophies in which all the pit crew memebers will NOT get in regardless, not saying its a 100% chance it will happen.
I'm also excited for disney speedstorm. I feel like it'll do well as far as having an online player base since that game is gonna have crossplay. That's one advantage it has over nickelodeon kart racers 3. Another is the game is confirmed to have dlc. One advantage nickelodeon kart racers 3 has over disney speedstorm though are the vehicles. I love that the vehicles are based on the IPs. Disney speedstorm's vehicles are just these big generic go karts that look like they came from a different racing game. That's something people are gonna complain about. Hopefully they bring in karts based on the IPs in dlc. All I'm hoping now is we get a multiversus kart. I feel like a game like that would definitely kill both of them together lol. Especially since warner bros. owns so many IPs. I love mario kart but we definitely more kart racers that are mainstream. It's a bit tiring that mario is literally the only kart racing series that's relevant.
I'm actually cool with them just being able to say certain lines when they use items or even get hit because it's done pretty well depending on the character such as when Leonardo says "Aww, come on!", which coincidentally sounds funny coming from Stimpy when he says it as well.
I do wish these recent crossover games would actually feature more recent Nicktoons airing at the time, like It's Pony and Glitch Techs, in order to help promote them. It would also be nice to more underrated and/or niche shows included like Harvey Beaks and Sanjay and Craig to make the roster more interesting. Also, it's gonna be pretty awkward when you get around to Kart Racers 1 after reviewing two vastly superior sequels.

Just watching this vid makes me really wish I had gone for the PS4 version and not the Switch port, because they seriously gimped out on the framerate for that version.
With the switch in focus to PS5 and XSX versions for developers, Switch games are going to start suffering massively. Apparently even the PS4 version doesn't run well. I think we're getting to the stage where developers are going to stop supporting the previous gen consoles.

What with the spaceship, the focus on old Nick and Cartoon Network shows and the generally snarky attitude (he pushes that more than you but still). All you're missing is the Y2K, Blockbuster-Punk sensibilities and you could be twins! I love you both to bits, I just thought the comparison was funny.
Pretty sure our aesthetics are both just inspired by us growing up on Toonami. The idea to cover cartoon video games was partly inspired by Pan and partly inspired by Caddicarus. Those two channels were my absolute favourites when I first started making videos
I love this game. This trilogy went through a redemption arc. One was garbage, two was decent, and three is the best. I hate that angelica didn't return since this one is the best in the trilogy. Wish they would take her outta the pitcrew and just add her in as a dlc racer. A lot of people are complaining about her & tommy not returning lol, so maybe the devs will listen. I feel like the both of them should've been in both reptars spots. Other characters I would get rid of are jojo siwa, clyde, kamp koral spongebob, kamp koral patrick, and squidina. It's just dumb ass hell nick forced the devs to include jojo siwa and she's just completely silent. Nick didn't even get her to voice herself in the game. This makes her inclusion in the series even more pointless. They should've just left her in kart racers 2.
Clearly licensing issues as those were not nickelodeon fully owned properties and the creators of those studios have gone silent. They are ancient near their deaths. They havent chosen a family member to give the task to. Plus their kids are now old too. Ive been researching and talking to them over last few years and ive been told they are un decided. Viacom owns a big chunk of their catolog but not all. Some is licensed only. As for angs voice....the original voice actor was age of character and aged with it. So makes sense why dif actor. Rocket power did the same thing with its voice actors age apporiate voice talents.

However if you wanna unlock Raphael, you gotta do 70 areas and some online races for Helga. Yes, there's unlockable content behind the online mode which is the worst flaw about the third. Overall, I think it's pretty well, a bit of a step down from the 2nd, but I hope they fix sone bugs and especially the online unlockable BS and maybe some DLC, as the Turbo Edition content will be included as DLC later. Also, Jojo doesn't have a voice. I just wanted to point that out.
It’s by far the best game in the series, tons of customization options and characters to pick from make it an incredibly fun game. For myself though I think “Sonic Team Racing” is a strong contender for the best kart racer in recent years. While it doesn’t have as much content-wise “Sonic Team Racing” I feel has more of a sense of speed. I love getting to be on teams as well, it adds a whole new dynamic to the game.

Not every single racing game needs a FREAKIN story mode since MK didnt have one despite being a racing juggernaut and even the MOST of the Sonic racing games didnt have one either excluding the Sonic Riders or the recent Sonic Team Racing.
You say this like literally every kart racer has a story mode or something. It's like Crash Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing and that's it lol. Doing the same generic cup mode for the 500th straight game is boring.

I'd like all the nicktoons characters to play, but in my opinion this is in my wishlist shopping cart, graphics looks solid, character models are good, but worst is bug and glitch issues on this game, but the characters voice are good and the track model is okay, i should give this game score 6,5/10, i should play this game soon if dissapointing on game reviews is bad

But one of things what disappointed me a bit. Was the false advertising for a character. Jenny has a lot of representation in the game that you'd expect her to be immediately playable. But no, sadly due to false advertising, you have to complete challenges to unlock her. But thats one of the few things I still dont understand with false advertising a character to death, that they're not immediately available
No thats because her show wasnt popular at the time and you have to remember that Oblina was also needed to be unlocked too.

Not every single racing game needs a FREAKIN story mode since MK didnt have one despite being a racing juggernaut and even the MOST of the Sonic racing games didnt have one either excluding the Sonic Riders or the recent Sonic Team Racing.
You say this like literally every kart racer has a story mode or something. It's like Crash Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing and that's it lol. Doing the same generic cup mode for the 500th straight game is boring.
A Story mode can make the racing engaing.
