- How long has it been since you played the sims 3? Have you ever even played the sims 3? Today I decided to take a stroll down memory land boot up the old sims 3!
Showtime is one of the few expansion packs I actually never got the opportunity to try, so for today’s video we are going to find out how long it takes to become a superstar in the sims 3 showtime!

With so many TS4 players coming back to TS3, I think you'd have a big audience if you'd pick it up regularly. I have always loved your creative story ideas and the utter snarkiness of your stories. Bring that to Sims 3! So few content creators are doing quality, story-driven content that isn't 100 baby-daddy challenge on steroids -- so I'd love to see your stories in TS3!

Just started watching. But to get gigs you have to visit places like the coffeeshop and ask the proprietor to book you a gig. You can also go to the local simfests and u have a choice to set your own kind of stage and you can perform different songs etc etc 😉 love showtime and sims 3 in general

I play mostly sims 4 daily and sims 3 for the nostalgia when I come across vids like these or a mention of a townie I remember from one of the old school sims 3 store worlds with all their amazing themes ❤ I have both. Def sims 4 has me hooked because the style, overall look, ease of travel from one world to another, but MOST important the use of mods really let's me do WHATEVER I want to do in sims 4. The mod creators are really so amazing 👏 but I'll always be happy to still have my sims 3 collection for the days I wanna play for nostalgia 😊especially since I full on lost access to my sims 2 😢
*I know this is like a yr late but I had one of those nostalgic sims 3 days today hence me re watching this before bed 😂 so I hope u got whichever one u liked the look of more, sims 4 OR sims 3 they're both excellent choices once the dlcs are added* ❤😊

Pretty crazy going from 4 lots per world to like 40+
Not really, higher processing speeds and better graphics makes loading suffer. So doing the less open and smaller world is a way for those who don't have gaming computers to still have a good experience without being super laggy and crashing. The sims 3 was great, but it did lag and made the Sims person's have less personality because they couldn't do as much. Both games have pros and cons, but they're reasons why they made the decisions they did

@@JessiTheBestiGaming that is my point? That they made decisions so most computers can run it lol. Had they made the same kind of world as 3 with the graphics and things like swimming in the ocean and boating in 4, that wouldn't be the case
And when I say the swimming and boating, it's very different between the two games. The tracing and tracking of npcs is way different and the seeing ocean life and details like that. It's better done than 3, which makes higher processing speeds
@@TheNinjaNiky I think it depends. sims 3 have certain pc specs that is not for everybody, and even that u know that it will not run smooth you will not pick up like giant cities or spend months with a isla paradiso save that is super laggy. Sims 4 i know i cannot spend hours building a house cause i know my pc will not have it

I personally love Sims 3 content!
I love sims 3 more than 4, but the relationships and reputation there sometimes make me take a break.. I got all the content at once, so I'm not sure which packs are to blame for being labeled as a cheater because I go on a date a long time after a date with someone else who I never even talk to anymore, or being publicly disgraced from woohooing with a fairy and not being able to get in anywhere for 3 days because of it. But those things might make for pretty amusing content that I'd love to watch :)
If you use nrass I know there are options to choose which things cause the public disgrace thing. Like for example kid out of wedlock can seem a bit outdated in 2022 given that celebrities and irl ppl do that all the time even in purpose. I’m not sure abt the reputation cheater thing tho I know that came with generations but idk if there’s a mod or fix for how it works bc it can be a bit annoying. I think the sims 2 handled multiple relationships and one sided relationships better than the sims 3.
@@pinkcatacombs I don't use any mods, and don't really want to. I can take the shame most of the time and love that it's so.. chaotic. But sometimes nothing makes sense. All those townies know everything I do behind closed doors! It'll always be my fave in the series tho. Thank you for letting me know of a solution.
Late Night allows you to get publicly disgraced for doing things that are controversial if you’re famous, though you can opt out of having your Sims become famous in the game’s settings menu, and with testingcheats you can lower or remove their celebrity star level, which means less attention on them and less scandals as a result. i think if you’re in your own home, you should be able to hook up with occults, but i think if you’re in a room with windows and there are paparazzi on your lot outside your house that might complicate things. and if you live in an apartment, the lobby, elevators, and hallways do not count as actually being inside of your home.
the reputation system came with Generations, it adds consequences for cheating but you just have to make sure that you break up with (or Ask To Be Just Friends with) your romantic interests. and pray that your Sim’s partner or spouse doesn’t die bc in that case, you might get treated like you’re being unfaithful when you start a new romance even though your partner is dead and you should probably be able to move on now lmao (you can break up with their ghost in that case & then they’ll just be your ex)
would you try some of your sims 4 experiments in Sims 3? or sims 2? like the flirty sims trapped in a room or the pregnant ones? I think it'd be interesting to see the differences in autonomy between the two. plus your amazing commentary 🤣

Sims 2 will always be my favorite but I do love the sims 3 too, and I think it meshes the best with your personality! I find sims 4 content is usually super boring, but I watch your videos cause I love your humor :)
I love your Sims 4 content, but these videos where you showcase (or discover) features on Sims 3 or 2 that are not (yet) on Sims 4 are super super helpful and inspiring! I'd love to see more of the professions and big features that those games have and that didn't get introduced yet into Sims 4. It’s interesting to see how fame works in Sims 3, since I’ve only played TS4. The point about Sims clearing the stage for a performance is very valid, except if you’re doing the acting career in Get Famous. Seems like it’s also way faster to become famous in TS3 than TS4.
The variety of places you can perform is super impressive, tho, in TS3.
I would love to see more sims 3...so much nostalgia!

Careers from ambition which has "Open Work Hours" have "no Limit" once you achieve level 10 it will stay there but your rate will increase making them very flexible careers for income, alchemists, writers, acrobats, performers, nectar makers, gardeners, even mixologists fall under this category
I'd love to see a mix of the sims games.

(Remember "SimAnt", anybody? Apparently that's a really good spin-off! Was it ever updated/remastered later on? I mean, I remember that it came out on Amiga, so that's got to be from around 1993/4/5!?🤔 I was 14 in '93!😬🤷🏻♂️)
My favourite sims 3 character ever, wax called Krystal RockheRt. Creating her, along with the gameplay is one of my fondest memories of the game. I used to love listening to her shows that she performed outside the theatre, and watching her be chauffeur driven home in her limo.
see the thing with packs in the sims 4 and other sims games is that in the other games packs are what they say they are, extensions, add ons. But in the sims 4 the packs don't add to the game they complete the game with what it lacked, the packs should've been base game not add ons.

I really enjoyed this video. I didn’t get into Sims until 3, and I only had the base game plus a few packs ( the Island one and the one with the air balloon - I can’t remember their names ). I wouldn’t mind the occasional TS3 video. This was fun. Would love to see if autonomic sims really existed in 3.

I own the Sims 4, and I've played it. I've only watched this video of the Sims 3. And so far, this is better than the Sims 4. Mostly because its programming is stable and it makes sense. LOL.

Even the Sims 3 has some bugs and glitches, as well as a freeze up. But if you notice how long the video is and how times something goes wrong? There's only a few times where something goes wrong. In the Sims 4, I can't even play for an hour without these bugs multiplying by thousands. The bugs are so bad in the Sims 4 that it ruins the game. LOL.

I feel like i'm the only one desperate for a showtime/band pack in the sims 4 and im dying about it.
For other music skills you can go to the bookstore and buy songs. Since I don't have showtime I don't know if there are songs for the singing skill.

I never much played TS3 because it was never really stable on my comp. Kept crashing and I never figured out why. I did get most of the packs and this makes me want to try it out again…
Now i understand why so many people wish this pack would come to the sims 4.
I personally prefer more Sims 3 and 2 videos. I don't really care too much for Sims 4.. I think most people are here for your sparkling personality more than Sims 4 though
Ok but I just sat through the whole ad Samsung made for the folding phone and now I want one so bad
I know that there are games that won't work on the newer PCs.. This might be the reason why there's no sound during the singing. This game was designed for the older PCs.. So, some of the sound's programming files are outdated. But then again, the rest of the sound seems to be working. But, also, maybe the PC 's drivers can't read certain sound files. Also, some files have copyrights connected to them. So, the copyright might be blocking the sound from being herd. These are some of the reasons why I stopped playing games on my PC. I constantly had to upgrade my PC, and games that I loved were no longer playable on the upgraded PC.. It became more of a career than an enjoyable event. Also, an Xbox or Playstation controller is a lot easier to use. And I don't have to upgrade every month. LOL.
You can change both the hair and outfit in a salon.

If you compare the stage stand-up lighting to the Sims 4's lighting. The lights in the game, the four different lights move independently from each other. The stage lighting in the Sims 4 doesn't even come close. Except they have some star shapes on the floor. The stage set up in Sims 3 is absolutely better than the Sims 4. And the Sims 3 cost less than the Sims 4. Wow! OMG! LOL!
