I wrote a poem about mirrors because i changed severely over time and i wrote about smashing mirrors. Now that i found this song, my mind is blown.
One of the best rise against songs in my opinion
Rise Against inspired me to start playing the guitar :) Today i know from ear Swing life away and from tabs Broken Mirrors, Disparity By Design etc. Thumbs up if Rise Against inspired you too :D

You have to realize that Savior might only be their most succesful song, but in no way is the best. Popularity doesn't equal greatness most of the time. Also I am conservative and enjoy them, regardless of politics, I actually agree with some of their ideals. Love it and don't complain about it, my philosophy with music.
This band is so revolutionary its unreal. Ive always been a good person, but there have been things about myself I've wanted to make even better. To make a change to better "us". Thank you Rise Against, you give "us" the motivation to be a better person.
I love the rhythm to this song. It's practically swing, and yet they make it work with their sound fantastically.
How many of you typed in "Best song ever" and expected this to come up? I did. Thumbs up if you agree with me.
Even so, "shatter" is the right word because 1) you can hear Tim say that, and, 2) "broken mirrors" and "shattering" make sense together
I've seen RA live three times. They were always fucking incredible. I wouldn't mind seeing them over and over; it's impossible to get sick of them. They are an absolutely amazing band, and while I regret to say this... In a world where the media these days is overrun with rap and hip-hop bullshit where songs about getting laid and being involved with narcotics are the most popular, Rise Against hardly gets the acknowledgement they deserve. Despite this, they still get support from fans like us.
This is one of the few albums I own and I've listened to it SOOOO many times and I have yet to get tired of it. Rise against is fucking amazing.

@JTstudios13 Rise Against just has something about their songs that just touch people in a way that they automatically feel better about themselves.
Especially in Make It Stop, because i know there's alot of people out there who can relate to it. Hearing Tim call out those names makes me want to cry, because i have dealt with a friend committing suicide for being bullied as well.

compared to RPM and TS&TW, i didn't like endgame that much but to me this was one of the best songs on here. The sing along aspect of the song just makes you wanna jump up and do something!

Depends where you're from bud. In the UK Rise Against are practically unknown to the masses. I heard Make it Stop played on the radio once on the release of Endgame and that's been the only time I've heard them on the radio. Music channels, even the alternative ones don't play them much either.

I think this song is about how much of a part we have played in making this life miserable for ourselves. If we wake up and look into the mirror we can see how apathy and greed has taken over compassion and morality.

Sum 41 is amazing. I've been dying to see them live for so many years, but I haven't heard any information about them playing in L.A. for a while. =/ And just like Rise Against, they get no acknowledgment for their greatness... Ah, society.
@peterraikkonen they didnt really scream in survive, but it is true that they have gotten softer from their older albums. i think Endgame was a little redemption to how soft they got in Appeal to Reason.

People help. I'm tired but I'm only going off when I come across a Rise Against song I don't like across the side and I've been up for ages. Its 12:42 here and I really need to sleeeeeeeeeep but I must go on because so far every one I've seen is good.

That's one song. You know how much more popular other musicians are? I don't know many people at my school who listen to RA; they're too busy listening to other crap. Which is fine by me, because I'd rather only people who bother to care about 'em listen to them. I do hope Rise Against gets enough attention to live a nice life style, though. And there are many people who glance over the true meanings of songs, unfortunately. It's too bad, but there's not much anyone can do about it. =P

You mean like the chaos caused everyday by the drug fueled poverty stricken agenda of the corporate elites, yeah that's being reversed and uprisen by the band in this video. And if you read it says in the end the army/police force joins the resistance instead of fighting them, so it does end peaceful. Anyway that's just what I feel like the song reflects so I just came up with the imagery.
@joyoing i think hes talking about giant corporations that have silently taken control of many companies to the point where they control a huge chunk of the world. im not sure exactly how rise against comes into any of this though.

@octoron87 I know my friend lol Just there were alot of comment on the true meaning of the song, so I thought I'd have a little joke. I love Rise Against, everyone of their songs has a meaning that few artists will acknowledge - true musicians!

Actually, I have the album with the lyrics (by RA) and it says, "But now we are awake enough to show what we hear." Don't believe me? Buy the CD, read the lyrics.

Compare the views of their least popular songs to the views of the least popular songs of the current fad. That's a good way to show you just how small Rise Against really is.
