Some things are still in the testing phase ❤!
"Today we show them the might of the Soviet Union!" *Su-25's go flying low* That, my friend, is fucking AWESOME!
Arnaldo Prado it was perfectly timed
I followed the development of this game every step of the way back when it came out. Then Soviet Assault came out and made it even better. It is a rare RTS that goes so deeply in character development. Im not ashamed to admit that I even wrote a fan novelization of the game and sent it off to the development team.
+Jonathan Morgantini +100 Respect
This game just struck a chord with me. Plus I live in Seattle, and downtown in modeled pretty accurately when we get invaded.
+Jonathan Morgantini good on you mate, if you were successful do more
+Jonathan Morgantini
(Emerald City Represent)
Its almost prophetic in a way isn't it? In this universe the Russians demolish the King Dome before we could.
Now you've got to show us the novel
It's 2018 and there's still no better modern RTS than World in Conflict.
Hey Black ops 4 has a better Modern RTS
Jiang Anthony Banatlao ofc he's not serious on saying that
Call to arms?
Men Of War?
Hey, its 2020 and we have Red Alert remake xD
"This is Sokol-1. Red Dawn. I say again, Red Dawn. Make me proud." - Orlovsky is my fav character by far
"HEAT loaded, atakuj!" "Tank killer on the move..." etc.
USSR ftw
Harli Baron *Want us... and *Gas turbine warmed up :)
Col.sawyer is my favorite character
he dies later unforunitely
Polyushko-Polye at 10:10 was an incredible touch.
Yes!
This game is the best RTS in my opinion. It is very cinematic and the combat was, although not realistic, very awesome. I really liked the airstrikes and even the capability of deploying a nuke. It's a shame almost no-one plays it online anymore.
+CowJuice Unfortunately, the multiplayer servers were shut-down in October 2015. But, LAN still works and the community is more loyal than ever.
+CowJuice agreed was my fav RTS to play online, not to massive like wargame series but with more action and fun rounds!
+Raptor Servers are still up!
+Raptor The servers are still working because there are still hundreds on players online but not as many as there used to be!!
CowJuice why the campaing is not realistic?
"to be honest i got goosebump there"
not only you but everyone who saw the cutscene got goosebump too xD
"Get into your vehicles, we go to war!"
Just had to replay that cutscene again...simply awesome. But also sad in a way if you think about what those young men are about to do so eagerly.
This is a FUCKING game.
Heya the person who made this comment I know it’s been 5 years but holy Christ calm down man-
FUN FACT: I have the collectors edition of this game that comes with an actual piece of the Berlin wall, DVD on it's construction, and the game soundtrack. BEST COLLECTORS BUNDLE EVAR! LOOK: imgur.com/a/p6NI0
Wow a that is a great bundle wait what if they run out of pieces of the Berlin Wall xD
+Ren steam version is like $10 and should work fine on Win 8/10 (works perfectly fine for me on 10)
+Raptor Hey Rap if you like this and wargame and such you should read "Red Army" by Ralph Peters or "Team Yankke" be Harold Coyle
It had an official artifact card with it and put in some extra effort to bundle it along. It's pretty neat!
never really cared for th MP on this game and just rebought it for myself on steam as my disc was messed up and i still love it
I really liked playing Air as the USSR with the Mi-24s, "They're Armor cracked open" and all, especially with people forgetting that the scout helicopter can see through the smokescreens. This game was so much fun and still is. Hope we get to see the Battle of Pine Valley soon, that was always my favorite mission.
This game is near and dear to my heart as well.
I lived in Bellingham WA in 1989, which is only a 2 hour drive from Seattle. It was such a strange feeling fighting in my childhood backyard. The game really captures the zytguist of the area and time period.
I normally end up replaying this game every year or so it's one of my favourite rts games it's a shame that this game never got a sequel such a waste
Played it years ago I'm replaying 3 times per year its a sacred thing lol
I love this game so much. The story, cinematics, beautiful maps and how well they integrated the story into the missions more than made up for the shallowness of the RTS aspect of the game. I would love it so much if Massive Entertainment teamed up with Eugen and made campaigns for future Wargame titles :3
+king tyris I think Massive is kinda busy with the Division right now
+king tyris I liked the RTS elements. They were good.
Wow, this one broguht back memories; those are some awesome cutscenes.
+komradeCPU *brought
"Weapons are free and now we are at war" Whoh... always gives me goosebumps.
The Red Bear has been awoke. The eagle with fall! For the Mother Land URA!
My first experience with this game, was around 2012, I had no idea it existed, despite growing up on Command and Conquer and Starcraft I was very out of the loop RTS development wise, I gamed almost exclusively on Xbox and owning a PC of my own on limited income was a pipe dream.
I had moved out of home and was living in some hole in the wall flat with a guy who was also very into games, and he owned a PC but barely used it. So one day I'm sifting through his disk collection and I find the original. World in Conflict. Knowing nothing about it, I put the disk in, load up the installer, and open it up to that first, incredible cutscene of the Russians invading America.
Needless to say I was hooked, and ended up playing about 80% of the campaign in one marathon sitting. When I moved away from his place, I never forgot about the game, and ended up buying Soviet Assault on Steam a few years back. Since then I have revisited it often, whenever I get a hankering for that particular style of RTS.
PS, now I have a proper gaming rig that can run it without issue so it's even more glorious. Also, artillery/support all the way. In RTS games that have access to artillery, I often tend to opt for the "Shatter their skies" approach, in which we proceed to drown out the sun with a constant rain of high explosive projectiles. Adult, tactically thinking me, has a big appreciation for the power of smoke now as well.
6:30 RIP brave GIs, first casualties of WW3
This game, contrary to many movies, portray the soviet command, the way soldiers adress to officers are very accurate.
Oh yes! This is like my birthday. Raptor plays my all time favorite game!
+Zworglonier Rappy Birthday!
This is what brought me to this channel, so glad to see you running through it!!!
Mig-27 flying laughing termobaric is sick
Scary how this game could become a reality now....
It has
vedic astrologer Narasimha Rao predicts world war 3 in 2030 ruclips.net/video/1lTlBSqh-kI/видео.html
No better RTS than this to this day :) the atmosphere the story, graphics etc. etc true classic and a spear and a half above the rest
10:57 That music. Ivan is coming okiedee
A simple thing they added in this game that I absolutely love is the amount of background action. Tracer for into the sky, the fighters and bombers in the sky. Nonstop backgrounds action perfectly sets up the feeling of being part of a large scale battle.
11:22 bro, everyone got goosebumps there lol
Because of the fact that this was made by Ubisoft, just drops my jaw
What a time to watch this,
13th march 2022

mother of wargame, awesome rts
That voice 10.20... He sounds familiar, like hes from Metro Last Light
+Walkrobeart Yup same guy who voice Pavel.
oh no the enclave arrived !
with vertibirds !
I'll admit, I never had too many memories playing this game... but I do have memories watching playthroughs of this game, and how it was an inspiration for my EAS Real-Time Invasion Scenario and the novel I published prior to that.
I miss this game so much! Although I feel like Wargame is a MUCH better version, but you have to say that WIC had a better story mode.
I only played the campaign of the base game I was primarily infantry with some light armor never really got into the helicopters or anything one of my favorite missions was pine valley my faction was the US army
Polyushka polyp playing during that cutscene made it. That was awesome
This was my first RTS game. I got it not even knowing what an RTS was, but all I knew was I got to control and army and that was pretty cool to me.
"Today, we'll show them the might of the Soviet Union." And just like that WW3 starts
The Bear is Mad and ready to brawl!
Wow I'm early. Raptor you have no idea how excited I got when you uploaded this
+Tecumseh Pontiac All 20 missions completed with all secondary objectives completed on 'Very Hard' uploaded and ready to go! Stay tuned, the conflict is just starting...
Raptor this is gonna be awesome
min 10.25 Red army song
just love it
it is the soundtrack of The Tomorrow Children
Keep this up
I like it a lot !!!
For a game released in 2007 the effects, sound and UI are still fantastic.
Even Though it has HP bars its still the Most Amazing RTS I have ever played aside Company of heroes
I downloaded Win10 and can't play any of my old games anymore due to the whole anti-DRM thing. Miss playing online and the MW Mod. This is the game that really got me into PC gaming and is still one of, if not the best RTS of the 2000's.
America: We need to build a wall!
the Soviet: And we need to destroy it.
First memory of this game...hmm.
Probably looking up "Games that take place in Seattle" (it being my hometown) and finding this.
Then smashing through the campaign and screaming incoherintly as the story progressed.
I think the last thing I said when the last mission ended was something like "No damn Chinese are setting foot in MY HOME!"
Spam that tactical aid! lmao they should have put an auto-use option for you. ;)
I liked infantry. And once played with a trainer to make the battle almost endless, was pretty cool
I've only played the demo and the mission in the demo I think is the 3rd mission in the Campaign and im going to say it was the most exciting and tense hour I have had in any RTS game
I really need to play this game again myself, loved it when i was younger.
I whish they could have different out comes like red alert
such an underrated game. deserves a remaster.
Actually the would not have to plant explosives on the wall. Narrow parts (often only wide enough for one tank) of the wall were built weak so that vehicles could go through easily.
It now 2020 just got game great video
I did that to see if your still awake and your video was helpful to me thnaks
I love this game, i hope this game will get a follower soon, i really hope.
Only game where I completed all Campaigns 3 times....my favourite RTS of all time. No game ever created more immersion, atmosphere and addiction. Truly a masterpiece when it comes to PC games. Such a shame they never made a sequel.
I cannot praise this game enough. It blew me away in 2007, it still blew me away in 2012 and it'll probably blow me away today, 9 years since release...
Maybe they'll release the source code at some point and we'll get a Unity or Unreal Engine fan remaster like KOTOR does. That would be something!
holy crap super awesome plz play more of this game
PRO TIP: If you want keep playin WiC in multiplayer, install GameRanger or Tunngle, they are like virtual servers and are pretty easy to use.
Kind of reminds me of Tom Clancy's end war, but without the voice command bs. Do you level up your troops like you do in end war?
Question: If you only cared about "GAME PLAYABILITY" and not storyline nor graphics, what RTS is the best all time?
Btw, has anybody bought this game via Steam and suffered CTDs? It kept crashing like after 1 min every time.
Before that I had a pirated version and it performed without a hitch. That's irony for you -.-
I play this all the time very good game. Man your vehicles we go to war!!
i know these voicelines in the campain like the back of my hanc
I fucking love this game
I love this game...and this channel
nice job! i loved this game so much when i played it :D
heavy tank unboxing YAY
25:58 Me and the boys raiding Area 51
Vehicle smoke is something I miss in WGRD
During the period of the Cold War, NATO forces would never have held W Berlin, likewise the NATO forces in west Germany could not last more than 10 days. NATO Forces were only there as a deterrent, with the hope that negotiations would stop any more conflict.
mick ridge you are correct about West Berlin, but NATO would have repelled a Soviet invasion after roughly 1980. Soviet tanks had no thermal imaging or laser range finding. It would have been a turkey shoot. The Warsaw Pact air forces would have been massacred. The had 2 weeks to get to the Rhine, after that they would have collapsed logistically.
@@mandoreforger6999 but they had lot of them? So why dont they make "Battle of Berlin" once again?
CILLZ with Me what?
Urban Student Prepper did you miss the part I said “after 1980”?
You must have. It therefore implies that “before 1980” it might have been an even fight.
But this timeline is clearly in 1989 against an economically distressed USSR demanding food aid, so the fight would have been over even faster.
If you have food riots in Leningrad and Minsk, you can hardly wage war against a resurgent and technologically superior US Army and Air Force. It was no different with the West Germans. They had tanks equal to, if not superior to the Abrams and they were perhaps the best trained mechanized units in the world at the time.
Turkey shoot...
I think it is you being salty here...
@Urban Student Prepper nah, you just feel stupid for not realizing that the scenario takes place in 1989. Also, neither West Berlin nor any part of Germany is in the United States, so you look like a complete moron right now. Oh yeah, it was called the "Soviet Union" and it was comprised of far more than just Russia. Run along, child....
Well in this world I'm glad I'm Canadian
I like Americans armor
Beast mode? Nah bro, it's Kevin mode.
Finally found this game.
They should remaster the whole series with next gen graphics
NATO. Loved NATO. Also loved tanks
hey raptor that was a great game u need to do some more gameplay of it
Хорошее прохождение
Brings back memories...
hey, if you dont know that mod already, i recommend you to come back to the game and check out the "no hope" mod. Its fucking awesome. Spent over 200 hours on the mod alone so far.
猫 what's it about?
Its about world war 3, basically newer units (Basically like we have today) and nuclear warfare added. (Like REAL HUGE NUKES)
It just like game world in conflict.
Nicely done as always
+Bubblebox StratGaming Well, thanks! Good to see you commenting. Drop by anytime you like.
At some point or another, I got the entire game for free and never played it... Installing it right now.
Maybe you should do some multiplayer as well as the campaign.
Cause no one plays multiplayer in this game any more
Russians wish that they still had this amount of tanks XD
yes pls
#Raptor I was wondering how do you khow names of all our machines? you were studying it just for the game? Thats kinda cool
My thinking of how the american military would actually respond is getting in my way of enjoying this game haha. it looks awesome dont get me wrong
Raptor I love your voice man, no homo. You sound so laid back and friendly.
MOAR! MOAR!
I remember this game in german... It was cool... Are there any sequels?
Why am I watching this in 2020....*after Koljas speech* ah damn it, I know again
Uraaaaa
