    Hi Mark,
    Thanks for the very helpful video. My son of 9yrs has had a few saves now that’s have really bent his wrist back as he likes finger saves. But it has brought a tear or 2 to his eyes as the force the kids can kick the ball these days 😳. Would you wrap a kids wrist any differently and is the first tape you use enough for some one his age?

      Hi! I know I’m not the one you were asking but I would say the method he showed for the wrist would be useful for someone younger too.
      When using the adhesive tape, I recommend taping the wrist around 1-2 times, then leading a diagonal strap across the palm from the *pisiform bone* (bottom of the palm on the pinky finger’s side) to the *purlicue* (between the thumb and index finger) and over the back of the hand 1-2 times. It will add extra support to the wrist joint to prevent being bent too far back as opposed to simply thickening the wrist to fit better in the glove. Sorry for the words used, I was trying to be specific but you can find videos of what I just described too!

    Coming back from another broken finger, this video has helped. I've been advised to wear finger saves in my gloves too. Would you recommend them?

    • @yoursmineaway

      Ive worn them for a while now. I recommend them. But it’s all about personal feel and comfort. Whatever your happiest in.

    Should I wrap all finger mark or the ones I have injured in past and the outside and inside ones?

    I recently picked up a thumb injury a few days ago after coming back from a major pinky injury I had to have surgery on. That is now 5 injuries in the past 2 years that I’ve gone through. How else can I prevent hand injury besides taping?

    This is great, thank you, I’ve struggled to find the best way to tape my fingers, never do it the same way as I don’t always feel confident. I’m going to try this now thank you mark! I do have a question, you said that the tape is quarter inch tape & half inch tape, but what tape material is it please? when searching for tapes before I find there are lots of different types and I’m never sure, if I just search for quarter inch tape would I find the right one? Sorry 🤦🏽‍♂️

      You should Google Zinc oxide tape 1.25cm. This should help.

    Hi mark, thanks for this guide, very useful but i have a question. Don’t you lose sensitivity to the hall wrapping your fingers?

    • @yoursmineaway

    Is it wise to tap players who are not keepers? My son little fingers I’d like to protect as much as possible.

    • @yoursmineaway
      @yoursmineaway  3 месяца назад +2

      I would say that’s not really necessary. But good football boots and good shin pads are essential

    I’ve done my wrist and causes pain on the pinky side, it clicks when I move my palm down(pronation as they call it)
    Has that ever happened to you? If so, how did you manage it? Please reply to this Mark, I am in fear as I have an important trial around the corner 🙏🏼
