I'm not familiar with playing with in-ears. How does this not annoy you? The metronome and the voices, I mean. Can you enjoy your music that way?
I don’t know. I love it. Means I can hear exactly what I need to and can protect my hearing while standing in front of the drums. I enjoy it a ton.
The click keeps everyone on time and where you are in the layout of the song. This way everyone has their personal mix. You want the click softer?....turn it down. You want the vocals and your guitar louder, then them up. Tailor the mix to your preference. Play this way, you'll never want to go back to monitors!
It definitely takes some getting used to coming from 4x12s, floor wedges, and side fills. But when you get used to it you barely notice the click or the cues.

You guys are great players, but you are getting way too carried away with all the effects. I can hardly tell what you’re playing. How does that add to a song?
It’s actually in the style of the original parts. In an actual FOH mix it’s just right. This is also meant to be heard in a stereo format in a room and not just on phone speakers in case that’s how you are listening. Either way, you are free to dislike. We love :)
