We played same god yesterday too. I agonized over what to play during the instrumental at the end. I wish I would had just done something simple and clean like you did there.

Hi Ivan, great job with your videos. I really enjoy seeing the parts you play for these songs. Are you the only electric player in your church's worship team? Also, would you consider making a rig rundown video? Thanks

Thank you! I am not the only guitarist for our team. I am the only lead guitarist. Pedalboard rundown video will be coming very soon!

Great sound! I have a question why do all of the big churches make you listen to a click track that tells you when there is a chorus or a bridge about to happen? I thought the whole point of being a musician was to not just know how to play music but to know the song and all of its parts as well? To me this seem like a huge distraction not only in worship itself but keeps you dependent on the click track in order to play the song.

For me, it helps the whole team to serve better, to play better and communicate better. Click tracks def. help the whole band to stay in time. Guitar effects, especially delays, can sound mudy without proper and consistent timing. Remember, as a musician for the Lord, we are to help the congregation to worship. Personally, I don't see anything wrong in this. It's just that we have different ways of doing things but in the end our goal is to glorify God with what we do.

@@emmanuelpamatmat9415 Agreed! I still take an issue as a musician with an MD telling me when and what to play. That's not really worship as much as it is someone telling you that they want to hear something specific with the music. In other words it's really not coming from your heart. If, as a team you all practice diligently and become tight, pretty soon you have no need for any distractions in your head and can actually worship while you play! Everyone can let go and be spontaneous within any song (that is scriptural)! I know that doesn't always work for the people that are looking for that warm and fuzzy feeling from a song that they all know and like. From a worship standpoint everyone can worship especially the musicians! Playing a song live without any mistakes is great don't get me wrong I think the main problem with this type of tool is there is no room for the spirit to have a place which is probably the most important thing in worship!

“…make you listen to a click track…”. No one is making us, we each get an individual mix with the various instruments, vocals, click etc at the level we request. Many of the vocalists prefer no click in their monitor. Most instrumentalists actually want to hear it.

@@funfreq9282 It is simply a tool used to better coordinate the musicians. I can flow spiritually just as well with click or without it. It does not depend on externals, it depends on your communion with God.
