you guys have completely changed my view of the people of china, and helped me understand, we are basically all the same, ive been to vietnam and off the beaten path there, and found the people kind and open to westerners.. todd in hawaii...
When you enjoying the A/C and toilet, it makes easy for you to judge. "keep the traditional" is easy for you to say, but the people living in the remote places also want to experience the modern technologies. They deserve the 21 century life. Sure they will miss their birthplace, but it's not a hard choice for most people.
Look at Hong Kong, it's hard to even find a place that still looks like Hong Kong in the 60s. Go and see how much historical stuff there is in Hong Kong, which was a British colony and thus, free from CCP rule. My point is, it's kind of a Chinese thing to demolish old things and build new ones to improve their lives. People from the West might feel bad for the loss of history but most Chinese really don't mind.

Gosh! China is a beautiful country; so much history.
Great doc

+Sky Lan
I do agree with YIMNG YANG, those guys want to hear negative voices about it, I'm so happy to disappointing them .
