Groceries keep going up and up. Hard to believe milk and an 18 count of eggs are over 5 dollars each!! 💸 we worked 40 to 45 yrs now here we are, happy to be alive and able to buy what we need. I'm very grateful 🙏 because things can always be worse. It's just so shocking when we see the price of things and remember what we used to pay. Oh well. We just thank God for giving us what we have. ❤
yeah, it's crazy man, that like back then, $20 could last you a week with a buggyfull of groceries, inflation is no joke, we can only do the best we can with what we have, as long as we have our bills paid, a roof over our heads, and able to still enjoy life, thats all that we can do, my prayers sent to everyone that is having it rough (im having it rough too but we try to make the best of it) im glad my mom taught me to stock up on things for the house and to only use my money if necessary along with making sure that all bills are paid. she was born in 65, i just lost her in january this year (2024) im going to be celebrating my 40th birthday without her, i miss her everyday. one of my favorite things to stock up on is pasta and spaghetti sauce (i love eating pasta) plus stocking up on potatoes so that you can have good old fried potatoes with ketchup.
As long as ya got rice, stuffed peppers it is. Good to hear your mom is good. Whatever you may cook, if your up to it, how bout a video. Thanks for sharing Dale. Stay blessed!!!!

I pack the kids lunches everyday. Its rough making that dollar stretch. Much love to you and stewie
I just paid $6.10 for 18 eggs. I've watched the price of Kroger's bulk 60 egg cartons go from $9.97 in early July to $18.97 on September 15th. I'm making a lot more bean recipes to reduce my meat costs. This inflation is out of control.
Hi Dale! I’m with you on the Dawn, I won’t use anything else either - the Dawn powerwash is really good too, for almost anything that needs cleaning. Amazing stuff. It’s 5 bucks a bottle but I just bought it once and I make my own and just fill it when I run out. All it is is 13oz. water, 4 tbsp Dawn and 2 tbsp. 70% rubbing alcohol. Make sure it’s 70% otherwise it’s too potent. Take care!
If i had that haul i would dice up a green pepper, couple stalks of celery, find some diced onion and a can or 2 of tomato sauce and some Italian seasoning and add it all to a skillet of some of your ground beef browned already then definitely add some of your garlic in olive oil, hest through then pour over a cooked box of the hamburger helper noodles only. Or mix in some if those boiled noodles into your sauce. Just a thought.
TFS Dale.Nice grocery haul.I also love Dawn dish soap. That price for a gallon of milk was ridiculous. It’s crazy how high food is now.I don’t know what people on a fixed income is going to do,with prices getting higher every time you shop.Hope you,and Stewie have a good evening.

I have a fast recipe for meatloaf… two lbs meat, one box stovetop stuffing mix ( or great value) ketchup some water and that’s it . Prices are outrageous !!!! Those buns use to be .88 cents too! They do have a good price on bananas in my area ! Olive oil is good for you !

I think Walmart is price gouging. Everyday my closest grocery store changes there prices . I don't know what we r going to do this winter. Our local food bank doesn't give meat and very little anything else. Have a great weekend.
Agreed Dawn is best. I gave up buying other stuff a long time ago. Does anyone remember the hamburger helper flavor called Hash? That was my all time favorite. I haven’t seen it in years n years n years. I love that $1 bread. Keeping it in the freezer is wise. It molds very quickly because it’s not full of the preservatives. Maybe you’ll show us the meatloaf recipe when/if you do it. I watched a commercial in both your vids today. 🙏mom can be calm. Maybe there is something they could give her for anxiety. It’s very common now. You n stewie have a great night as well.
$3.99 for lb of hamburger is pretty good. But yeah I hear ya. Things are getting expensive. Just hang in there. God will get us out of this mess. He always does.
I have been saying it all along, I’m struggling for groceries and I had to make a pit stop at the pantry for meat and a few veggies. No money for extras or fun this month just because I had to pay for two doctors appointments at 92 dollars each, both to discuss prescriptions. Very useless appointments if you ask me. I remember a while back you just talked to your doctor with a phone call about such things. Not anymore, they want eyes on you to check you out I guess. Set backs of every day life takes away food budget. It’s a bummer.
Good Lord the milk is outrageous where You are , the Walmart Vitamin D Milk is $2.69 here. I cant believe the prices of things these days , seems a person cant leave the house without spending over $100 these day's.
If you think the Dawn liquid is the best thing, you should try the Dawn power wash sprayer, all you do is spray on dishes and walk away come back and rinse off, best product ever!!!
Hi Dale. Love your dry humour. I’m housebound so love to watch your videos. I’m in England. What happened to the food bank trips. U not been banned. Hahah!! Prefer the food bank hauls. I use my local church but some people grab all the stuff as they don’t have distributors . Just free for all. But I never would have done this but for your encouragement to do so if u in a tight spot .big hugs for Stewie. 😊
The only milk I buy now is buttermilk occasionally for cooking. I buy yogurt and cheese as they are much better, concentrated sources for calcium and last much longer. Store milk used to last 2 weeks, now seems to start tasting 'off' in a couple of days. Like steak, milk has become a thing of the past in my house.
I know what you mean about the meat Dale, I’m learning to love lentils 👀. Nice haul though and I really love the way you pronounce Worcestershire Sauce 😉stay frosty Dale 😊❤
I agree dawn dish detergent is the best I just bought some of that Worcester sauce I've never used it before can you put it in any savory dish I cook alot of chicken and pork
Grocery price are just crazy I don’t know how we’re expected to make end meet anymore. Are you going to be doing any food pantry haul I really enjoy them alot
Yeah the prices are ridiculous the sales aren't even sales anymore. Our gallon of milk was expensive to us at $2.89 @ Krogers. I saw dollar general here for a specific brand was $2.29 but they were closed, so he had to pay full price which went up again, it seems. I don't feel so bad about our price, after seeing your's WOW. D likes Dawn too, we will buy the name brand equivalent to it from Krogers works just as well. Equal parts Dawn to equal parts vinegar in a spray bottle makes an awesome soap scum remover, just spray in tub or sink and let set and then scrub down works great. Also you can make an all purpose cleaner> Combine 1 / 2 cup white vinegar, 1 pint rubbing alcohol and 1 teaspoon liquid dishwashing liquid. Add enough water to make a gallon. Pour into a spray bottle and CLEARLY label APC=All purpose cleaner. I use it to mop my laminate floors with and to clean counters, stoves, and sinks with as well. Hamburger meat is through the roof too. Someone told me a recipe making meat loaf with stuffing mix as the binder with egg, it sounded good to me, with the other things you bought to make with it as well. I love making what we call poor man's steaks similar to meat loaf with onions egg and crackers pattied up and fried in a skillet with beef gravy mashed taters and a vegetable side Soo good. I also love to make homemade stroganoff with hamburger onions, egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup some beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper salt, and a good dollop of sour cream. I have been making it lately with my home canned French onion soup, in place of beef broth that's my hubby's favorite way so far. I like added extra mushrooms in that as well, when I have them. That cheeseburger macaroni if you add some tortilla chips or Doritos and some hot sauce and a dollop of sour cream with some lettuce and tomatoes makes it like a Tex Mex bowl too, that's pretty darn good too.Just a few different Ideas to use what ya got there. We love making fried breakfast egg, ham, and cheese sandwiches on toasted hamburger buns too, they're a copy cat of a fast food place here called "Jack n the box" and that breakfast sandwich is called a breakfast jack. When we stopped eating out we started making our own.
Wow the price of milk is outrageous. It’s only $3.00 at Walmart here . The prices of the hamburger is also ridiculous. The crackers and rolls used to be like 99 cents. The food prices are out of control. I hope everyone is mindful of who they vote for in November.
Your grocery list is similar to what I would buy and we haven't had $1 bread here since before 2020, Te cheapest now is $2.70. I buy lot of ground beef and you can turn it in anything......Asian stir fry, tacos, spaghetti bolognaise, beef chilli.
But that grade hamburger is so much juicier and flavorful than the more expensive .you could use half those peppers in meatloaf AND make my favorite soup too!!!!! Stuffed pepper soup is my absolute favorite! See, you could do both. I see your prepper meats in the background.....I buy them too
@@PrepperDale oh I've been buying them for years. REALLY good quality. Keep your eyes on the dates. Tell ya a secret, I use the beef one in Hamburger Helper sometimes. Like the stroganoff one and the philly cheesesteak one ;) Actually priced really good compared to the price of fresh nowadays
I see some cans of Keystone meats in the background. Is that part of your preps? Just a heads up... in the stash I am reorganizing now, about 1 in 15 cans that went bad were Keystone. I don't know what they might be doing wrong, but that seems like a high failure rate to me. Please be sure to really check any of these you might use.
Ok…I raised a large family for many years on a very tight budget! Hum….. protein; so much hamburger is not the way to go buy eggs, tuna, peanut butter and budget cut chicken. A lot of processed bread is not good. Mix grains and legumes for a complete protein. Also, you need more vegetables and fruit, frozen or canned are good when you are on s budget. Rice and fresh potatoes can go a long way! You are not doing yourself a favor buying boxed hamburger helper..expensive and unhealthy! More variety!
@@beckyallen3771 I think some hamburger is fine though. Tuna and eggs are so expensive right now. I have a little store with good meat markdowns I will buy hamburger there for $3 a pound. I will go buy 10-15 pounds and fry up, drain and rinse. I then put in baggies of 1/2 pound or so and freeze. More vegetables is always great but out of the budget for many.

I don’t think it’s Gouging so much as bad policy from DC ! 😃😺
Put dawn mixed with alcohol it will make a great cleaner
I can't use Dawn anymore due to allergies so I got the scrub daddy. It will last longer if you transfer some to a small bottle. You will use less.
I do agree ! It’s Terrible ! Pray for our Country !! 🙏🙏

Good Lord the milk is outrageous where You are , the Walmart Vitamin D Milk is $2.69 here. I cant believe the prices of things these days , seems a person cant leave the house without spending over $100 these day's.
@@JBS1987 No , I am not in Texas
Gosh. I live in Northern California and it was $3.82 here on Saturday.
If you think the Dawn liquid is the best thing, you should try the Dawn power wash sprayer, all you do is spray on dishes and walk away come back and rinse off, best product ever!!!
I have some of that !! Works great !! 😂😺👍

I think the same thing about Walmart milk. I have started buying milk from braums and it last all week. Glad it's not just me
I know what you mean about the meat Dale, I’m learning to love lentils 👀. Nice haul though and I really love the way you pronounce Worcestershire Sauce 😉stay frosty Dale 😊❤
The same ground beef here in southern Ohio is $34 at walmart. Great haul
I agree dawn dish detergent is the best I just bought some of that Worcester sauce I've never used it before can you put it in any savory dish I cook alot of chicken and pork
PS Dawn is all I use as well! Last longer because you don’t need as much.

Great ideas !! Thank you !!😺😃
Wow the price of milk is outrageous. It’s only $3.00 at Walmart here . The prices of the hamburger is also ridiculous. The crackers and rolls used to be like 99 cents. The food prices are out of control. I hope everyone is mindful of who they vote for in November.
Dale at my Walmart a box of 60 eggs is $18.28 here in Va and a bag of spiced wafers is over $12.00
