This gun is a very intuitive takedown. Very easy to take apart and put back together. Easy to clean, some guns are very difficult. Sometimes it’s the downfall of a gun. Simpler design leaves for less to go wrong. The ruger 10/22 is one of the most reliable and versatile guns out there. I guess lmao what I’m tryna say is your comparison to IKEA is purely offensive to anyone who knows anything about this gun.
Integrally suppressed .22lr by Sturm Ruger Great rifle, my first rifle was a semiautomatic Ruger 10/22. By far one of the most useful rifles for varmint control and if you really need to it can be used defensively.

A barrel and bipod is hardly a “New level” of customization 😂 its a 10/22. Not even a binary trigger or aftermarket stock. Kinda lame in all actuality. Plus integ barrels are more at risk because if the baffles get damaged the whole barrel is now trash. A short barrel with a stubby can would’ve been more cost effective and would arguably look better.

Scary part of disassembling a gun in it's entirety on a table like this especially outside is that a screw or the like rolls inbetween the hole of the planks and you lose it.
Even on non surpressed 10/22s that nylon buffer pin mod is a great mod for the action noised and is less harsh on the bolt. The pin will wear down with use but its less wear on the bolt
Yeah, Ruger gets some flak for their guns being unnecessarily complicated compared to quite a few other offerings. But they're certainly pleasant to shoot.
The extended magazines have an inherent reliability issue do to the shallow magwell. The extra weight can put odd angled pressure on the magazine. It's rarely an issue but i had an issue with 25 round magazines while flush tens and short 15s worked fine.

I have a nice 10-22 model... It is nickel finish with greenish hue, laminated manlicher stock (stock goes to near the end of the barrel.) It is a handsome gun, and a sweet shooter.
I'll never fully understand how people make fun of these or when people carry them. Ammo is cheap, extremely accurate, oh and it will most definitely put holes in you just like the rest of em. Great clip, thanks for sharing.

I love guns from a mechanical aspect, the machining is just beautiful.
I will sometimes take mine apart and reassemble them even when not cleaning them just to marvel at the quality and skill it took to manufacture them.
They are certainly a great piece of engineering.

The Ruger 10/22 is the most versatile. 22 ive ever owned, and I own many of them, including the Takedown model.
