Not sure about everyone else, but as someone who puts a headphone set on during my entire work shift to listen to videos not watch, I personally super appreciate the commentary. 🤘
I listen to many channels as I go about the daily grind and much like everything else with an LSV draft he is far superior in this than any other player. If you like draft content Nizzahon and Nikolai Bolas are quite good in this as well.
absolutely, one of the reasons i mainly love to watch LSV vids is because as far back as i can remember it came with plenty of commentary so that even when i was basically new to the game i could get an idea of what was going on, and i still really appreciate it
Man that game against Chord. That was and old school burn, losing to the draw. Really appreciating these LSV drafts, as iv found it to be the most difficult drafting format iv ever come across and naturally the funnest. MORE DRAFTS LSV!"!!!!!!
Dunno if whoever was doing the innistrad cube reads the comments, but my personal mtg pride and joy is my innistrad planar cube with cards from every set set on Innistrad, as well as several promos and cards from other sets that are explicitly on Innistrad. It's been a joy to make and everyone who has played it loves it so far!
Thanks for uploading these kinds of drafts, makes me feel a lot better about going 1-3 myself :D Seriously though some streamers will not upload anything below 5 wins and you think "damn I'm bad at this game", while on stream they're constantly going 2-3 and 3-3 like the rest of us.
That game 1 - Holy cow! You really called it with the Berg Striders! I'm sure they were much more distressed by your constant barrage of Striders than you were of their multiples of Squash.
Please don't put the camera feed where you moved it during the stream. That is a horrible placement for RUclips viewers, as the card zoom (when playing cards) is blocked. Not everyone is a stream viewer who can hover over the cards, and the automatic zoom is a life saver to help understand what is going on. The correct placement is at the same height on the other side of the screen (left). Completely unused space and would not block any information. Thank you.
1:02:26 Is the Vault Robber supposed to stay locked down like that when it gets switched by The Trickster-God's Heist? It was supposed to not untap during its controller's next untap step, which had already happened, but then after it was sent over to Luis's side, it remained tapped down yet again. Is that how it's supposed to work, or is what happened in the video a bug?
@@fredalt I am aware that it was affected by Berg Strder. My question is if the creature affected by Berg Strider is supposed to not untap a second time if control of the affected creature is changed after it doesn't untap the first time.
@@TheAverageGuyTAG It might be incorrect, but I still think it's right, because even though it changed controllers, the effect was meant for the creature, and the creature needed one more turn to untap... And I don't think that's unfair either, if it untapped then I think it would be unfair and probably would make the saga card way worse.
Yeah, that seems to be a bug. The effect created by berg strider had already been resolved by that point. See 611.2a: A continuous effect generated by the resolution of a spell or ability lasts as long as stated by the spell or ability creating it (such as “until end of turn”).
i've mostly had success with snow in this format and nothing else. the other day i drafted a really good green white deck with two majas and a bunch of packmates and doomskar and still got a worse overall record than my crappiest of snow builds.
@@fredalt Doomskar actually won me some games. I think in a limited format playing huge bombs like that is really important, even if they don't vibe with your win condition. I mean that deck had a ton of token synergy and doomskar is like the polar opposite of what you'd want for that in constructed, but it can just transform a game all on its own so it's definitely worth playing.
@@georgekent8300 yeah, that's the point that I was trying to make, maybe if you had combined doomskar with black and stuff that return from the graveyard, maybe it would show it's real potential... Or just switching strategies mid drafting is always a good one, because when you try to cling too much to a certain sinergy it might not workout. Its funny watching these professional doing drafts cause you see it's not exact science and that even with their knowledge they sometimes get very few wins
@@fredalt Very true. I often get scared to diversify my draft picks when I hit a bomb. It's funny, I think green white and green black in this format can be pretty bad without a nut draft, but abzan definitely gets you the tools.
@@OsvaldoChannel1 it is a difficult hedge pick though because he doesn't like U/W so he would be unlikely to pick up a 2nd white card until forced around half to 2/3s of the way through pack 1 if W is open and U isn't and yeah you can definitely build an open deck in 2+ packs but it less likely Rally will be great since you can't prioritize for it as much. Frostpyre Archanist is also just good. Interesting is that he mentions Usher over Rally though.
@@jamesperez1810 fair critique in that I agree I wish more non-snow content would be posted, but I also still strongly feel it was not the correct pick there even though I think it is a very good card.
I appreciate that these videos dont have a million ads despite being one hour plus

LSVs commentary is second to none for sure

I legit sat down at a draft where lsv was one of the drafters, saw lsv, and thought “Well guess I’m not playing snow”

"Snow is open" is the new "Blue is open."

i swear 90% of this video is LSV saying Berg strider.

“They didn’t expect the fifth Bergstrider”
nobody expects the spanish bergstrider!
Nice. Love all the drafts
LSV drafting: gets snow lands 9th pick
me drafting: never sees a snow land after pick 1
Climate change my dude :/
You are probably drafting with lsv

That was probably because of his Berg Strider, the creature was tapped for 2 turns

Watching LSV drafts will improve your game!
That's why he went 1-3, right?
That shirt is jazzy af LSV, im jelly .
I just love channel fireball :))
😘
we need a count on how many times berg strider have been prononced plz
LSV, the king of Bergs. The Bergerking if you will.
I like how LSV accidentally responded Good Game when Chord_O_Calls said Hello!, to which Chord responded Nice! And no one on the stream noticed.
“Accidentally”
LSV and fangraphs are fusing my two favorite things together. God I hope LSV is on Effectively Wild 🥰
Needs more Berg Strider
LSV just casually got more snow lands in this draft than me while trying to actually build snow (also 5 freaking Berg Striders)
And sometimes you have broken wings in your hand and it's a blowout ;) ... or, really regret not having 2 in the deck :(
This video could use some game sound. Doesn't have to be loud or anything, but just a little would be nice.
Did I have fun in the match? _"No."_
Avalanche Caller's ability should definitely have been 2 and tap. Its incredibly annoying in limited where you can't always answer it straight away.
Game 1 OP could have attacked wirth everything and boast twice the liberator thanks to Birgi, I wondered how the game would have ended in this case

i had best results with elves
Maybe you shouldn't be playing doomskar in a white/green deck, I've already gotten 7 wins with a white/green splash black, and with zero snow synergy

Second pick, rally the ranks not even considered? I found it insane in white/red, lots of overlap in creature types
i would have picked it as well just in case Blue was closed, but i guess he really wanted to build around Cyclone Summoner

Rally doesn’t go in the snow deck, therefore it can’t be considered by the majority of these CFB drafters

LSV! LSV!
Berg-er King
I wanna watch these but arena makes my head hurt 😥
The more drafts I do/watch the less I like this format. Snow feels so repetitive.
WHY DO YOU PUT THE CAMERA OVER WHERE THE CARDS WOULD SHOW WHEN THEY'RE PLAYED? ASININE.
